As you pull into the large driveway of Avocet, your holiday experience has truly started. This beautiful modern detached home benefits from reverse living which invites you in to fully appreciate the stunning views over the estuary. It offers light, open plan living on the top floor, with mod cons and bi-fold doors leading out onto a private decked balcony, you will find it hard to tear yourself away. But when you do you won't be disappointed!

Upon return to the house, make the most of the summer evenings relaxing in the private garden, stoke up the BBQ, open a bottle and reminisce on the day's activities before retiring downstairs to the sumptuous bedrooms for a good nights rest, ready for the next adventure.

A great location for day trips on the train and some beautiful beaches. Carbis Bay Hotel do a great afternoon tea and the beach is lovely! Porthleven Beach Cafe is amazing and worth booking for sunset.

Avocet is a very comfortable and well equipped house with great views across the estuary. It’s location gives access to St Ives and the Penwith peninsula as well as The Lizard. We can highly recommend this property.

If you book a holiday in Lelant you’re perfectly situated for sightseeing, with a nearby train line to St Ives or Penzance for spot of shopping. Stop off at the Gurnard’s Head for a bite of lunch or make your way down to Cape Cornwall and Sennen Cove

For those looking to explore on foot, the 12.5 mile St Michael's Way walk from Lelant to Marazion offers a great way to experience the Cornish countryside. The walk meanders through moorland and the small villages of Gulval and Ludgvan before emerging in Marazion with St Michael's Mount in clear view.

A wonderful week spent gazing at the Geese on the estuary. The balconies at this property are a great bonus. The location is ideal for someone like me who enjoys walking, equally the train service offers a short ride into Carbis bay and St Ives. Avocet is well designed and appointed and deserves another visit!

Very comfortable property with excellent access to St Ives using the train and local buses for Penzance and Hayle.

There are two restaurants within walking distance of Avocet - Both excellent - The Old Forge and Birdies.

Wow! What a property this is. 4 adults and 2 kids, never did we feel like we were on top of one another, lots of room, lots of extras to make it home from home. Sitting on the balcony watching the birds on the estuary felt very relaxing. Will definitely be returning to this property.

We have just returned from a fantastic week staying in the Avocet. The property is stunning and very close to St Ives and many other beautiful places to visit. We would recommend this property to anyone and have already booked for next year.

Lovely house in a great position for catching the train to St Ives or walking the coastal path. Would recommend.

A fabulous location and property. A short walk from the door and you're on Porthkidney beach. The vast expanse of sand and turquoise sea has to be seen to be believed. Sitting out on the upstairs balcony enjoying the morning sun and watching the water skiers and paddle boarders was a particular highlight. Avocet, we will return!

What a fantastic view over the estuary! Lovely property with plenty of space and a great open plan first floor. Very quiet and peaceful (apart from the occasional passing train - which really didn't bother us at all, and caused much excitement for my 19th month old grandson!). A lovely setting with easy access to St Ives, a handy supermarket in Hayle and places to eat and drink close by. Plenty of beautiful places to visit near by, but also nice just to sit and look at the view.

we had a great stay at Avocet & would highly recommend. So modern & comfortable with great views of the estuary. Was a pleasure to come back to at the end of the day! Beach is a short walk away and Lelant station although trains do not stop often so better to go to St Erth.

Avocet is nicely situated and handy for the station to st ives. The beach is inaccessible when the tides in. Excellent location for bird watching. Not as clean as we would have liked.

Great peaceful spot within walking distance of a pub / restaurants & beach. Great for bird watching and morning sunshine on the balcony. Well equipped and designed accomodation suitable for 5/6 in comfort.. Easy access for trains to St Ives / St Erth and beyond without the hustle and bustle. A short drive to the amenities of Hayle and the excellent beaches and rockpools of Gwythian.

We spent a fortnight at Avocet recently and it is perfectly located to explore everything this part of the country has to offer. We used the bus and train to get into St Ives both bus and train stops are only a few minutes walk from the house. The beaches nearby are perfect for watersports and relaxing and there are so many sightseeing options within a hour or shorter drive. The house itself is well presented as per the photos, large enough for 6 people not to be on top of each other. We found the garden and balcony good sizes too. We would recommend this property!
