Would definitely recommend Little Prospect.

September 2020

The property was exceptionally clean and the owner welcomed us to the cottage and showed us around and provided a delightful welcome hamper upon arrival. We were made very welcome along with our dogs. The dogs had a free run of the house and garden (which was well enclosed and so convenient for walks into the countryside) and lots of dog covers on the beds and furniture which made it a much more relaxed holiday for us. A lovely location and property which we would not hesitate to book again.

Hayle Holidays

In Hayle town you will find a range of shops and bars, a supermarket, charming local pubs and the ‘famous’ Mr B's ice-cream parlour, providing you with a wide range of options for a self catering holiday. The King George V Memorial Walk can be found in the centre of Hayle and is a lovely, level walk, planted with a wonderful selection of unique trees which creates a leafy canopy around the edge of Copperhouse Pool, a large tidal water now a site of special scientific interest. Being just a short drive to harbour and beach towns of St Ives, Penzance, Mousehole, Porthleven and Marazion, a self-catering holiday in Hayle promises a holiday to remember.

Hayle is renowned for its 3 miles of golden sands, which stretch from Hayle Estuary to Gwithian Towans and Godrevy Point. With good surfing and great views, this safe, unspoilt beach is popular with kite buggies and sand yachts, but as it is lifeguarded in Summer, is a great place to spend a family day out. Great for bird watching all year round, the Hayle Estuary is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). In Autumn and Winter, thousands of birds migrate here due to it being the most south-westerly estuary in the UK, meaning it never freezes. The estuary provides a great place for walks, but dogs must be kept on a lead to avoid any disturbance to the wildlife. Find out more about the Hayle Estuary.

Paradise Park

If the birds on the Estuary are a little too distant for your liking, Hayle's Paradise Park allows you to get up close and personal with wildlife of both the feathered and furry varieties. With a large indoor adventure play area, a gorgeous cafe - and even an onsite pub, this is one for the whole family.

Hayle in Bloom

Throughout the summer, the Hayle community comes together to put on a wonderful floral display throughout the town. With an award from the South West in bloom competition at stake, and with fierce competition from neighbouring towns, Hayle pulls out all the stops in an attempt to retain its Gold medal, which it has won for 8 consecutive years!

Hayle Raft Race

In July, the locals wear fancy dress and take part in the annual raft race on the Regatta pool. Climbing aboard homemade rafts, partakers battle it out and race to the finish in an attempt to secure one of the winners trophies. Spectators can enjoy the bbq and bar on offer, and the bouncy castle and stalls mean there's plenty for the kids to enjoy. A fun day out for everyone. Read more about Hayle Raft Race

Tom Bawcock's Eve, Mousehole

The tradition of Tom Bawcock comes from the feast or famine lifestyle of Cornwall.  The story goes that it was just before Christmas; there had been no fish for weeks, the boats couldn’t get out into the raging storm, the village was starving. One man, Tom Bawcock, dared to take his boat out of the harbour’s safety. He returned with enough fish to make fish pie for the whole village.

Today, a festival takes place each year to celebrate Tom Bawcock's bravery. During the festival, Star Gazey pies are eaten in memory of this famous event.

Sep 2020

Had a great week at little Prospect Debbie and Keith could not do enough for us great hosts. The privacy and scenery was outstanding. Will return a week was not long enough .

Aug 2020

An outstanding property well fitted out and scrupulously clean. Debbie, the owner really made us feel at home, being on hand to meet us and show us the welcome pack. The garden is secure and we had no concerns over our GSD, who Debbie's dogs also made welcome. The main purpose to our visit was to see family, which we managed to do easily. Shame much of Cornwall was closed for the winter, but as we come from a holiday destination ourselves we quite understand. Would definitely like to revisit this property again in the season.

Feb 2020

We had a wonderful stay at little prospect over Christmas 2019 with Debbie being a welcoming and friendly host. She showed our two dogs lots of affection and couldn’t do enough to accommodate us during our stay. The cottage was fully stocked with everything you could ever want and all of the little personal touches didn’t go unnoticed. We would 100% go back and will definitely be recommending to friends and family who are thinking about visiting Cornwall. Hayle beach is definitely a great morning out with dogs if you are taking yours!

Jan 2020

Fabulous hosts; nothing too much trouble. Excellent hamper; excellent facilities. Honestly, a really perfect break.

Oct 2019

Excellent place to stay. Really couldn’t fault Little Prospect at all. Perfect location and perfectly equipped.

Sep 2019

Such a wonderful place to stay, a real home from home and we were made to feel so welcome by Debbie and her lovely dogs! The Welcome Pack was a thoughtful added extra. So easy to travel to different places in Cornwall from the property- makes a great base and a welcome hot tub on a return from a long day visiting is perfect! Great views from the garden which is private and for our dog was very secure. Highly recommended!

Sep 2019

Had a fantastic week at Little Prospect. The owners have thought of absolutely everything for the guests to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday and nothing too much trouble. Very well kept, the garden and views were beautiful and loved sitting out each morning to enjoy them whilst having breakfast. The hot tub was a great added bonus and the welcome hamper was a really thoughtful touch. The cotttage is in a great location to get about by car. We loved our stay so much and felt really at home that we have already booked again for next year! Thanks Debbie and Adam, look forward to seeing you next year

Aug 2019

Lovely stay at Little Prospect. Very clean and had everything you could possibly need. Such thoughtfulness has went into making this a home from home. Debbie is a lovely lady who you just know will be there if needed and the welcome hamper was amazing! Great outdoor space especially if you have dogs and the hot tub was fab x

Jul 2019

We had such a lovely holiday at Little Prospect which exceeded our expectations - the location was great, the property was spotless and the hot tub was great! We received a very warm welcome from the owner who arranged for a paddling pool for our little girl (the weather was very hot so this was very thoughtful) and who had also prepared a very generous welcome hamper for us which was much appreciated. I cannot fault the property and would highly recommend it.

Jul 2019

A truly wonderful gem! The pictures do not do it justice of the space and surroundings both inside and out. Felt like home for us and the dogs and owners were extremely attentive. Welcome pack was a lovely touch and the hot tub revived weary bodies after long treks. Certainly will look to rebook this place when we return to Cornwall in the future.

May 2019

We had a wonderful time in Little Prospect! The hot tub with lights was definitely our favourite part although the log burner was a close second. We had a warm welcome from the owners and they were there if we needed anything at all. We visited St Ives, Lands End and Penzance and used the train for most journeys. The owner also recommended events and good places to go for food (the chip shop that was a few miles away was delicious).

We will definitely be returning!

May 2019

We had a lovely stay at Little Prospect. The owner is friendly, approachable and caring for her guests needs. Fantastic welcome on arrival with a hamper which was appreciated after a long drive ! The place itself was spotlessly clean. Beautiful garden views, hot tub was an added bonus and the property was very well equipped. Can’t wait to stay again.

Apr 2019

Had EVERYTHING you needed for a week's holiday, like a mini home from home (with the added hot tub!).

Apr 2019

The property and the friendliness of the hosts more than exceeded our expectations. Rarely have we stayed in a more welcoming and comfortable environment. Everything that we could have needed was provided for us and being dog friendly was important to us.

The property was extremely comfortable, super clean and very well equipped. The garden was completely enclosed which was ideal for our dogs and we had peace of mind as a result when letting them outside.

The hot tub was an added bonus! As was the log burner which we only used a couple of times during our stay as the property was lovely and warm and cosy anyway.

The location was accurately described just a few minutes drive outside of Hayle. Directions provided were accurate and easily followed.

We really are unable to fault this accommodation and intend to book again very soon.
