Located amongst the quiet, back roads of Carbis Bay you'll find Ocean's Reach, a contemporary, two-bedroom bungalow. Ocean's Reach is a fantastic base for a family of four, or two couples sharing, with two parking spaces right outside your front door. Set over two floors, the open-plan living space on the ground floor, features a bright and airy space for all the family to relax in, with the twin bedroom and shower room on the same floor, then on the first floor, you'll find a spacious king-size bedroom. Leading off from the kitchen is the courtyard, a perfect sun trap, so you can enjoy breakfast in the sun before a busy day of exploring.

With turquoise waters and golden sands, the award-winning beach at Carbis Bay is only a 15 minute walk away, where you find The Carbis Bay Hotel and Spa, and Beach Club Restaurant, offering amazing beach-front dining. The train station is within easy walking distance and takes you into the bustling harbour town of St Ives, along one of the most scenic railway lines in Cornwall. St Ives has an array of independent and boutique shops, four beautiful sandy beaches and the renowned Tate St Ives. However, if you would prefer to explore further afield, the town of Hayle is under a 10 min drive away, with three miles of sandy beach, or visit Godrevy, perfect for rock pooling, and if you're lucky you may spot the seals who have made their home in the secluded cove next to Gwithian beach. Further out, you'll find Marazion, which is home to St Michael's Mount, and Penzance where you will find Jubilee Pool and the promenade, where you can take a stroll to Newlyn. Carbis Bay beach

A holiday in Carbis Bay means you’ll have one of the most beautiful beaches just a short walk away from your holiday cottage. With crystal-clear turquoise waters, enjoy swimming and other watersports, with kayaks and paddleboards available to hire from the watersports centre at the beach. You’ll also be in close proximity to the golden sandy beaches at Lelant and Hayle and the popular beaches in St Ives; you could try a different beach every day of the week!

Walks in Carbis Bay

Leave the car at home and take the 20 minute walk into St Ives, enjoying the views along the way. This gentle walk is a must at least once during your stay.

For nature lovers, the Steeple Woods Nature Reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife and plants. Relax and explore the forty acre space which overlooks St Ives.

For the more adventurous soul, the St Michael’s Way is a 12.5 mile trek starting at nearby Lelant, and finishing up at the stunning St Michael’s Mount in Marazion. If the walk back doesn’t seem too appealing, you can always ride the open-top bus all the way back!
