St Agnes Holidays

St Agnes provides the perfect base to explore the North Cornwall coastline. With stunning scenery on the doorstep, and a plethora of activities available all year round, there's something to do for everyone. Take a stroll along the streets which are full of quaint shops and cafes or for those looking to be a bit more adventurous, why not try your hand at surfing with one of the local surf schools.

The beaches of Trevaunance Cove, Trevellas Porth, Chapel Porth, and Porthtowan are all closeby, which are all worthy of a visit and each offering something different.

Whats On

A 'must see' event among both locals and visitors is the St Agnes Bolster Festival, which tells the story of the bolster giant which was known to terrorise the locals. This takes place on the May bank holiday weekend each year.

St Agnes Carnival takes place each year during the first week of August. Locals gather along with tourists who have travelled especially for this special occasion.

Surfing

Located on the North coast of Cornwall, St Agnes is a popular surf spot among both locals and visitors. It is more suited to advanced surfers, however if you fancy a go, there are two excellent surf schools nearby to show you the ropes. The nearby beaches at Porthtowan, Perranporth and Portreath are all good for surfing too, so you'll have plenty to choose from when deciding where to go. Read more on our blog about the best surf spots in Cornwall. St Agnes is also home to the World Bellyboarding Championships which take place each year at St Agnes beach. Find out more about bellyboarding on our blog.

This is an absolutely gorgeous property, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Stunning house in a beautiful location. Clean and tidy throughout. Lovely large, bright, airy rooms. Awesome kitchen. Loved everything about the place. We will visit again.

Wonderful stay at Gwel an Mena. Beautiful, big light rooms, luxurious bathroom and the kind of kitchen we’d all like if only we had the space! Great to stay in a large, family home as a couple, without the need to book unwanted extra bedrooms.

Beautiful house in a great location. Walking distance to the excellent pub in St Agnes. But easy to get out to the rest of Cornwall. Love being able to rent a large house for just the two of us as gives you a fantastic kitchen and living room space without the cost of a larger property. Warm and cosy and felt just like home. We will definitely stay again!

We were the first guests after one of the lockdowns and it was December. The house is very spacious but cold. We did get the hang of the heating after a day or so which must be programmed to revert back to a cooler level. We presume the house was cleaned at the start of the lockdown and lacked the promised welcome pack with an Amazon parcel and post overflowing from the box at the door. The loft area in the picture is not heated and was very cold, therefore unusable during our stay. The Kitchen was a great feature though. All in all, not as it says on the tin.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are very sorry if the heating hadn't been set on a warm enough temperature for your arrival and for the housekeeper's oversight on the post. We have followed this up with the housekeeper and we just wanted to reassure you that the housekeeper had attended and fully cleaned the property a few days before your arrival but had forgotten to grab the post and unfortunately didn't put the welcome pack in for you. If ever you are booked into a property that we market in future, please do not hesitate to contact us while you are here, if ever there is something that is not to your satisfaction. We would have been more than happy to grab some extra heaters for you and would have the housekeeper reattend with the welcome pack and remove the post and flies on the windowsill. We appreciate that you may prefer to be left undisturbed, be we hate the thought that you were not 100% happy with a few bits that we could have very quickly improved for you. We will pass on all your feedback to the property owners, for their consideration on areas they may want to improve, so thank you for your helpful comments and we hope that you still had a nice break away.
