This third floor penthouse apartment benefits from an elevated position in one of Newquay's most sought after areas and overlooks the famous Fistral beach and renowned surfing hot spot known as The Cribbar. Listening to the sounds of the sea from the balcony with a coffee, or cooking dinner with the balcony doors open you will never feel far from the sea that sits at your doorstep! Comfortable zip and link beds provide flexible accommodation for up to four people and two bathrooms means no queueing for the shower after spending the day at the beach.

With parking provided you can leave the car and head out on foot along the coastal path to glorious Fistral, where you can try your hand at surfing with a selection of surf schools available. Relax with your toes in the sand whilst you watch the waves and take in the laid back atmosphere of one of Cornwall's most popular holiday destinations. A selection of delicious eateries are all within walking distance, such as The Lewinnick Lodge that sits at the end of Pentire headland and promises great food with unbeatable views.

Things to do in Newquay

Surfing

Regarded as the home of the UK’s surf scene, and offering consistently good surf throughout the year, Newquay is great place to surf whether you’re a first-timer or seasoned pro. Beaches

When staying at a holiday cottage in Newquay, you won’t be short of beaches to choose from, with nine sandy beaches on the doorstep. All of Newquay’s beaches are lifeguarded in the summer, providing a safe place to spend the day soaking up the sun.  

Watergate Bay and Fistral beach welcome dogs all year round, making Newquay an ideal location to spend a week with your four legged friend.

Attractions

With such an abundance of attractions in and around Newquay, it’s the perfect place for a family holiday at any time of year. Newquay Zoo offers a great day out at any time of year, as do the nearby Screech Owl Sanctuary, and the Blue Reef Aquarium. Holywell Bay Fun Park provides guaranteed fun for the family whatever the weather.

If you fancy something a bit different, fishing trips and sea safaris are available, from which you can take in the scenery from a different angle. You may even be lucky enough to catch a sight of seals and dolphins!

Newquay’s links golf course overlooks Fistral beach and is regarded as one of the best golf courses in the county, providing a different challenge everyday depending on the weather.

Events in Newquay

The Boardmasters surf and music festival in August sees thousands descend on Newquay's Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay to watch surf competitions and live music.

Newquay's Fish Festival which takes place each year in September, sees three days of foodie fun, from cookery demonstrations, to fly fishing tutorials and live entertainment.

Newquay Beer Festival gives you the opportunity to sample over 50 ales and enjoy live music.

Eating out in Newquay

Newquay's vibrant nightlife offers something for everyone, with a huge selection of eateries. Jamie Oliver’s ‘Fifteen Cornwall’ at Watergate Bay is well worth a visit, as are the many beach cafe's and restaurants serving up locally caught seafood.
