Rockford offers very flexible accommodation well suited for couples or an extended family with different needs. It is well appointed especially the kitchen. To be able to seat us all for outside eating was special and the facilities for surfers so useful. All in all, the house is in a great location and had all we needed for a memorable holiday.

Ms Powell

We had a lovely time thank you. The bungalow is great and so well equipped and clean and in a fantastic position, it's probably the best place we have rented for a holiday. A lovely, well equipped, clean and comfortable bungalow with great views over the surrounding countryside and only a short walk to both dog friendly and dog free beaches. The Bay View Hotel does lovely food and is within walking distance if you want a drink. Elements Italian Restaurant is a great place to eat and the food is delicious.

Beaches in Bude

Crooklets Beach

At low tide, a large expanse of golden sand is exposed, along with rocky outcrops which are great for rock pooling. The beach can be reached by a short walk over Summerleaze Down or down the hill from the town centre. Crooklets is very popular with surfers, but also perfect for families, with great facilities including a large car park, beach café, skate park, showers, and pubs close by.

Summerleaze Beach

Home of the famous Bude Sea Pool, and only a five minute walk from the centre of Bude, this is a firm favourite among locals and visitors. It’s also great for surfing!

Things to do in Bude

Bude Castle

A castle built on sand! Built around 1830, the castle was formally the home of Victorian inventor Sir Goldsworthy Gurney. It is now a heritage centre with exhibitions about Bude and Sir Goldsworthy Gurney.

Bude Bike Hire

Explore the surroundings of Bude on two wheels. A good selection of bikes are available for hire which suit all ages and most abilities.

Bude Sea Pool

Opened in 1930, this partially man-made tidal swimming pool in the rocks of Summerleaze Beach provides a lovely, safe place to swim when the sea is rough, or when it’s calm! The pool is open all year round, but of course depends on the state of the tide!

Red Elk Archery

Lots of fun with the kids!
