St Just is perfectly situated to explore the breathtaking Cornish coastline. St Just is a traditional Cornish village with a rich history of mining, fishing, and farming, located in the very West of England. Despite it's small size, St Just has a vibrant, thriving arts community. In the centre of the town you will find the 'Plen-An-Gwary', meaning 'playing place', which is one of only two open air ampitheatres in Cornwall and arguably the oldest working theatre in all of Britain.
Visit St Just in July and you'll be able to take in the atmosphere at the popular Lafrowda festival; a fortnight of family friendly activities including dance workshops and colourful processions which make their way through the crowds.
For a more ancient celebration, Feast Day is a two-day event in November, which celebrates the dedication of the parish church.
As the most westerly town on mainland Britain, St Just is close to the popular attraction of Land's End. Have your photo taken at the famous Land's End signpost, or simply enjoy the breathtaking views and the rugged landscape. Land's End provides the perfect family day-out.
Tanglewood gardens, just a few miles from St Just, is the perfect place to spend the day, where you'll find quirky sculptures alongside an abundance of wildlife, providing a great place to explore. Read more on our blog: A day out at Tanglewood gardens.
Nearby you will find the stunning St Michael's Mount; a tidal island with a fairy-tale castle, which truly is the jewel in Cornwall's crown. The gorgeous beach in the adjacent Mount's Bay is a popular destination for watersports, or simply enjoying the Cornish sunshine.
Explore! With such spectacular scenery on your doorstop, St Just is perfect for experiencing the great outdoors. Walking along The South West Coast Path offers an ideal way to enjoy the rugged coastline this area is famous for.
Cape Cornwall golfclub is nearby too, which offers stunning views along with a different challenge everyday of the year, depending on the weather.

The tradition of Tom Bawcock comes from the feast or famine lifestyle of Cornwall. The story goes that it was just before Christmas; there had been no fish for weeks, the boats couldn’t get out into the raging storm, the village was starving. One man, Tom Bawcock, dared to take his boat out of the harbour’s safety. He returned with enough fish to make fish pie for the whole village.
Today, a festival takes place each year to celebrate Tom Bawcock's bravery. During the festival, Star Gazey pies are eaten in memory of this famous event.

A lovely cottage in a fantastic location overlooking fields then the sea - and just a few minutes walk to all the amenities of St, Just. We’ve already booked to come again.
Mr Shapiro Sep 2020
A perfectly placed cottage for exploring the area. A short walking distance to St Just village and not too far a walk to Cape Cornwall. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and felt like home. My family and I had a great time here and hope to return.

We are very proud of the service we provide, so we take any complaints very seriously and are more than a little disappointed to hear that on this occasion we have fallen short of the high standards that you would expect, and that we set ourselves. There had been an error in our communication at the start of your holiday, and then unfortunately we never received your email that was sent after that, due to a video attachment making the file too big. We can completely understand that this will only have frustrated you more and left you feeling that we were just not responding to you. This would never have been intended and is certainly not our usual standard, and we can only apologise. I know that we have since been in regular contact with you, and I hope that we have been able to restore your faith in our service and standards. Tanya, Customer Services
A comfortable, creatively decorated holiday home, in a fantastic location, close to some of the best beaches in Britain. We really enjoyed our stay.
Mrs Lewis Sep 2019
We absolutely loved our stay at a Pleasant Terrace. It is a stylishly-decorated house designed for comfort and relaxation. Very spacious, the kitchen is well-equipped and very light. The sitting room has big comfortable sofas. The bedrooms are comfortable and the views are absolutely astonishing. We felt very welcome and the house felt like someone’s home, with books and magazines. Although it was very cold outside during our winter break, the house did not take long to heat up thanks to a generous number of heaters. The walls in the area are beautuful, especially the Cot Valley. We love St Just. Thank you for a really lovely break.
Ms Rutter Dec 2018
Beautiful light and airy house with lovely artwork and quality furnishings.
Ms Howden Oct 2018
Overall we had a fantastic relaxing holiday in this house. The house is positioned really well for walking into town but also walking to the beach and coastal walks/Cape Cornwall and driving to Botallack mines, St Ives, Penzance and Porthcurno and Sennen Cove.

Apart from the problems with the iron and bath mixer unit we enjoyed our stay in the cottage-so much so that we have booked it again for later in the year!

Thank you for your comments, and we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay here. We are sorry that you experienced those issues. We have checked everything with the owner, who confirmed that the iron has now been replaced, so thank you for letting us know; and she had a plumber to attend to the mixer unit on the bath during your stay and is pleased to report that all is working perfectly still, so cannot forsee any reason for concern when you return. We look forward to seeing you back here later in the year. Tanya, Customer Services
This area of Cornwall is wonderful especially for dog owners, pubs, cafes etc are so dog friendly, you just need to check restrictions on the beaches. St Just has enough pubs, cafes and shops to make your stay comfortable and lovely walks all around,
Mrs Walker Apr 2017
A really beautiful cottage, incredibly spacious. Tastefully decorated, comfortable furniture and beds. Spotlessly clean. Really warm and cosy thanks to the amazing woodburner. A five minute walk to the pub and just a little further to Cape Cornwall. Enclosed garden, which was great for our dog. Lovely neighbours and absolutely silent at night and no light pollution, which was bliss. This place is a delight and we can't recommend it highly enough.
