The photos and description of Good Times don't do it justice! It's bigger than it looks and so close to the sea and Fore Street. It had everything we could wish for and all 7 of us (3 generations) ranging from 14 to 84, had a fabulous holiday. Nice to have a basic welcome pack too! Thank you also for accommodating our slightly early arrival.

The view is fantastic from the top bedroom you can see hayle, carbis bay, the harbour, porthmore beach and portminster beach. The view from the lounge is also lovely - you can see the harbour, porthminster and the chapel on the island. The lounge diner is nice (the lounger chair is comfortable), the dining table is large. The kitchen is compact but can fit 2 people cooking in it. It is well equipt and clean. Having a shower by the front door is fantastic for sandy feet (a tap/small hose outside would be a bonus).
The upstairs bedroom is fantastic. Comfortable and quiet - the view each morning was spectacular. The downstairs back bedroom was lovely, the shower over the bath was no problem (if mobility is not an issue). To gain this amazing view its obviously a short steep hill and steps up the the property. It only takes 5 minutes and my 3 year old and us 30-40 year olds were fine. My 60/70 year old parents were less keen on all the steps (just a consideration).
I would absolutely stay here again. My 60/70 year old parents would not due to the hill/steps.
The car parking is such a bonus - a few minutes walk away (uphill).
Negatives are.....
Extremely difficult to find, even the neighbour who lived a few doors away had never heard of it and sent us in another direction. If they bought a sign (like most aspect holiday properties have) then I would have had the confidence to go digging around in the back of their bin store (as per the instructions) for the key safe. Personally if they had a nice welcoming sign saying "good times" near the door and a key safe in the court yard perhaps (instead of in the back of the bin store) it would have been a much more pleasant arrival. Aspect holidays were rude on the phone to me after I had difficulty finding it which didn't help.
The outside spaces need extra cleaning. My husband cleaned the balcony which had alot or bird droppings on and cleaned the windows - then it was wonderful! My parents cleaned all the cob webs and swept the leaves/moss in the back BBQ space. The small court yard was quiet green so we didn't used it.
The downstairs twin bedroom is a compromise - there is just a patio door so you cant really have ventilation at night time (there is a small window in the bathroom). It smelt fusty when we first arrived. In this twin bedroom my older parents would have preferred a taller unit of draws as struggled to bend down to the only 2 low draws - there is a wardrobe so you could just hand all your clothes. My older parents also didn't like the step to their ensuit bathroom. In this room there is limited space to put things down (just one small table to share). This door also creaks with a noisy latch (which could be easily rectified). These things may not be an issues for everyone but worth mentioning.
Also generally the sash windows were hard to open and close. The sash windows in the lounge do open safely with the gap at the top but need altering to stop them being

Thank you for your helpful feedback and we are delighted to hear how much you enjoyed Good Times. We are sorry to hear about the difficulty in locating the property and extremely disappointed to hear that a member of the team was rude. Please rest assured that this is not the norm, it is not what we expect from the team; quite the opposite, and we will look into this further to ensure that it does not happen again. We have monitored feedback on the directions and keysafe location and having had this mentioned a couple of times now, we will make sure that the directions are revisited and we will speak to the owner about the possibility of a sign. We do offer these, but we need the owners permission to install one. We will also have a chat with them about the key safe location and will pass on your other suggestions. We have had a chat to the housekeeper about checking the outside area and reporting to us if it needs trades to attend to it. Thank you so much for letting us know. We hope that you had a fantastic time here in St Ives and we hope to see you again. Tanya, Customer Services

Gorgeous deceptively spacious house in centre of St Ives. 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms so great for family groups. Fantastic location right by Fore Street and the Harbour and beaches and the Tate. Not for those with mobility issues as lots of steep inclines and steps from the town and also within the 3 floor house.

We are glad that you enjoyed this lovely spacious property. The location really is fantastic, isn't it? Most of the traditional Cornish fishing villages are known for the steep hills that come with such locations and steeper, narrower stairs in the properties as well as some quirky layouts, so it is something that is not specific to Good Times, but something to bear in mind when booking any property in such a location. It certainly adds to the charm of the properties and the town! The bookings team are always happy to answer any questions and discuss the suitability of any property before booking, so please do not hesitate to contact us. Tanya, Customer Services

Great property, large, spacious, good decor inside, terrific views from the living area and master bedroom. Handy location for town, Porthmeor and Porthgwidden beaches. Good wifi throughout the house. Good to have a parking space available (although not next to property).

Fabulous house in great location, have stayed here twice now and had a GOOD TIME both times ??

This property is broadly as described and provided a good standard. Our party consisted of three couples and one 2 year old - the master bedroom was great for the parents of the toddler with a small separate bedroom next door and with great views. As with many properties in St Ives there is a steep climb to the house but it is ideally situated close to the town and beaches. It is spread over three floors so a number of stairs in the property can be a problem with very young children. Twin bedroom shower has restricted height (5'7"), but overall the accommodation is very well equipped. We would happily stay here again.

Good Times is in an excellent central location near St Ives Harbour. A short walk to the beautiful beaches that St Ives has to offer. The property itself is well equipped with everything you would need for a staycation and was extremely clean on arrival. Great for families although it was a little hard to keep our 2 year old from the stairs when our stair gates didn't fit on the stairs. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit St Ives. Thank you for a wonderful week.
