I had a great stay with my children. The location for us was excellent! I had read a few less favourable reviews before my stay and contacted Aspects who were incredibly helpful and really put my mind at ease. I needn't have worried as the apartment was amazing and I had booked to stay again before I'd even checked out!

October 2023

Really is a stunning property. Spacious, comfortable, and with, I think, unrivalled views of Porthminster Beach and the town from most of the rooms and the huge balcony.

And two bathrooms made holidaying with a teenager a dream.

There was at least one wedding in the hotel next door when we were there. But barely noticeable; any noise was minimal.

And yep, don't hold out for lots of little extras. You're paying for the space and the views.

Apartment is wheelchair friendly but poor mobility people would struggle with main bedroom as bed is very high. Parking space provided but recent visits weve had problems with car blocked in from hotel. Apartment is very basic, needs some updating. Problems were reported but took days to rectify. Welcome pack is very poor, highlighted this on last couple of visits but still nothing was improved. Expensive, not value for money. Even though we have booked for June 2023 we have decided we will not be returning after that.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are glad that this apartment worked well for you, but we must stress to anyone looking to book this property, that it is not one that we advertise as suitable for wheelchair users, as it does not meet all the standards for that, so please do contact us before booking, if this is something that is a requirement. We are sorry to hear about the inconsiderate behaviour of the hotel and that you no longer feel that the property is good value. Properties are generally priced to reflect many factors, including location, size, available facilities, views etc, though owners will have the final decision on what it is marketed for, and the welcome pack is also decided upon by the owner. They must provide tea, coffee, milk, and sugar, but anything more than that is down to the owner and isn't something that it factored into the pricing, but a nice additional gesture from owners. We will certainly pass on your suggestions and feedback for their consideration and do hope that you enjoy your stay in 2023. Aspects Holidays Customer Services

Beautiful apartment and surroundings. Couldn’t want for anything more. Quite a steep walk down to the beach and back so wouldn’t advise anyone with mobility issues. Customer service from Aspects was amazing.

Good location, all on one level, good for poor mobility as wheelchair friendly. Had a few problems this holiday but hopefully will be out right before our return in September.

Thank you for your feedback, and please rest assured that all feedback is taken seriously and followed up with relevant teams and passed on to owners. We do not advertise this property as being wheelchair friendly as it does not meet all requirements for that, but we are glad that you found this property to work well for you and we will look forward to seeing you again soon. This is our second stay at One The Peninsula although we have been a customer of Aspects Holidays for many years. We were so looking forward to our yearly Cornwall holiday, more so as it was a birthday celebration and there have been no holidays for two years. The views never disappoint as it is in an amazing location. However the apartment itself was a disappointment on this occasion. It was evident that it had not been cleaned thoroughly and there was no hand wash in the bathrooms. Given we are not entirely free of COVID I found this very disappointing.
The view is amazing however the balcony furniture and general area hadn't been cleaned either. Improvements could be made in cleanliness (inside and out) and that would make a world of difference. We had ants in the lounge - Aspects staff were very speedy in their response and had someone out straight away. Staff were polite, courteous and helpful (as always). We will book with Aspects Holidays again but sadly on this occasion are disheartened by our stay at One The Peninsula.

We were sorry to hear your comments on the cleanliness as this is not typical for the housekeeper at this property and not what the property owner or we would expect for guests. If we are made aware of any concerns, we will always work with owner's housekeepers and trades to put anything right as quickly as possible though, so that you can fully enjoy everything at the property, the way that you would expect it to be. We can only apologise if any areas had been missed and please rest assured that this was followed up with the cleaner. Thank you for your comments. Tanya, Customer Services

Amazing location and truly stunning views. Lovely large decking area to enjoy breakfast in the sun - even in early March! And then a glass of bubbles in the afternoon on the side deck outside the lounge. Well decorated apartment and everything you need is there. Very easy to access and close to everything you need. Spacious and very comfortable. We cooked every evening and kitchen has everything. Have to say, we will hopefully return to Number One.

Wonderful properly with beautiful views and location.

First class location, view to die for! Unexpectedly large amount of outside space which we enjoyed. The development and apartment were beautiful and provided a comfortable and relaxing place to unwind. It was thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to self-cater. The parking space was much welcomed - essential to save the stress of finding parking elsewhere. Close enough and an easy 10 min walk for us to town, we enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle, but those with mobility issues may struggle a little with the hill. We stayed out of season so the hotel next door was quiet. As it is so close, assume there would be some noise at busy times, particularly when there are events, so just something to be aware of. We enjoyed a spa day at the hotel and lovely to just walk next door for it! Would highly recommend this property if you are looking for high quality and a comfortable home from home experience.

Number One Peninsula is a beautiful apartment in an ideal location. It is very easy to walk into St Ives or to Porthminster beach. The steps down to the beach are quite steep so perhaps not so easy for those with very young children or those who are less abled. We did not find the bed in the master bedroom to be very comfortable and this should be looked at to ensure that guests can enjoy a great night’s sleep at this lovely apartment.

Lovely place to stay for a week . Spacious and well equipped apartment Good outside area with plenty of space to relax and unwind with lovely views

Lots of steps down to the beach and quite hilly . People with mobility issues might have a problem with its location

Very good location, spacious apartments. The need for a car if anyone is with poor mobility to get about.

The pictures didn’t do the apartment justice! What an absolutely stunning place with even better views! We had the most amazing stay and we’re looking to book again for next year! Thank you so much Aspects! You’ve been fantastic!

This is a wonderful, large apartment in an amazing location for anyone visiting St Ives.

It’s the location and size that makes it expensive - not the little welcoming extras - that were pretty much non-existent...

However, we’d definitely book again.

A wonderful apartment. Beautiful view, very comfortable and spacious apartment and great for small kids. There’s a great short cut to the beach but you need to be ok with steps. Otherwise it’s a lovely walk into town.

One cannot help but enjoy St. Ives, but the property, for the price, leaves a lot to be desired . inside and out. Floors mopped but not dried properly, water marks everywhere. Cushions and throws stuffed under the beds. Rusty pots and pans which were replaced, but the old ones not removed. Smoke alarms to the bedrooms had been disabled, again rectified after complaints. The parking is a nightmare, being constantly blocked in by hotel guests’ cars. The property could be beautiful with a little care and attention. We will not be returning.

We were very sorry to hear of your disappointment, though glad that we were able to resolve the main areas of concern for you at the time. Even with fortnightly external cleans of the widows in place, unfortunately, being right on the coast there, within a few hours of them being cleaned, they can get covered in salts when the wind is blowing in that direction, and seagulls have an irritating liking to them, especially at certain times of the year! However, if this has happened and it is reported, we are always happy to send a window cleaner straight over. The insides of the windows are usually cleaned by the housekeeper every week, so if they were not cleaned to a satisfactory level, we are very sorry. The parking has been an intermittent issue which we are trying to resolve with the property owner and the hotel. They should not be using that space or blocking it in, and it is not acceptable that they have allowed this on a few occasions, so again, thank you for bringing this to our attention so that we can use your feedback to help us in getting this resolved. We are sorry to hear that you would not return here as a result of this experience; we can only hope that after the chat that we have had since and the actions taken, that we may have the opportunity to restore your faith in the future and welcome you back. Excellent accommodation in every way except the booking in and departure times

Peninsula One is a well equipped, clean, warm, and stunningly located property. We have been here more than once and look forward to staying again in the future. Loved every second of our holiday here.

Lovely apartment with beautiful views from the terrace, overlooking the beach. Lynda and Tony July 2020

This apartment is in a perfect location - a short walk from the main shopping/harbour area (but need to consider a bit of a steep hill OR steps); high up but close enough to hear the sea. It has a wonderful balcony from which you can see St Ives Harbour and Porthmeor Beach (and amazing sunrises). Lovely, light and spacious, at the end of the season the apartment was a little jaded in a couple of places but I informed Aspects of this and they were going to resolve this ahead of the next customers.

Aspects were easy to book through and provided just the right amount of information.

Thank you for your feedback and informing us of the items that needed to be replaced. The team have since actioned this but we are sorry that we had not been aware beforehand, so that you could have arrived to everything as it should have been. We are glad that you had otherwise enjoyed everything and those lovely views and the stunning sunsets that you get from there. We hope that we will see you back here in St Ives again soon. Have spent our holidays in the Peninsula for last couple of years. Very good for poor mobility people as everything on one level. Very spacious, comfortable and family friendly. Highly reccommended.

Fantastic location, for a large spacious apartment, right on top of the beach. Easy walking distance into St. Ives itself, which has plenty of shops and restaurants. Perfect area for a family, plenty to do and see.

Be warned about the parking bay - this can be an issue due to it being a shared garage with the neighbouring hotel and sometimes being blocked in.

An excellent location for a vacation in St Ives. Nearest beach within a couple minutes walking distance, and the town centre and other beaches are a short walk away. Beautiful and functional apartment with great views to the sea. Quite good cooking facilities, grocery stores within reasonable distance. Peaceful residential building. Some partying occurred in the neighboring hotel on Friday and Saturday nights, but it didn't bother us.

This apartment is awesome. The large outdoor decking has wonderful views over St Ives. We have stayed in a few apartments in this block and we will definitely book this apartment again. We had a minor hiccup at the start but Aspects customer service was superb and we had a fabulous week.

Excellent location, parking space provided. Good beach and sea views. Ideal for wheelchair and poor mobility users. Highly recommended.

Excellent apartment with amazing views from the terrace.

Sept.2018, lovely spacious apartment with amazing views, will definitely return. Mr & Mrs bailey.

Might be cliché ,but Aspects Holiday truly a team you can trust to find you great accommodation for your holidays. No hesitation in recomending to others. Mussa Mahomed and Family

Lovely apartment. Brilliant location with amazing views.

A beautiful apartment is a fantastic location. The parking can be problematic

Fantastic modern apartment with stunning views of Porthminster Beach and St Ives. If sun is out you can walk to beach in less than 5 minutes.
