An enjoyable holiday in comfortable accomodation.
Mr Peake Oct 2021
Very much enjoyed our stay at Gillan Cottage, it was airy, comfortable and spacious. Off road parking was a definite plus point.
Dr Fletcher Sep 2021
A lovely clean cottage very sheltered but long walk to the beach and town. Very secluded.
Mrs Ward Aug 2021
We loved our 2weeks here, Property exactly as advertised. Gillan is Spotlessly clean, unbelievable location and so homely. Parking space huge and shared with the owner. We loved it, and the ease of walking into Town was fab or jumping in the car on a dull day to explore.
Our family of 3 loved it, and would highly recommend to a small family or couple.
So sad to come home!
Mrs Colloff Aug 2021
Very comfortable stay in a clean and spacious accommodation.
Up a steep hill so not for the less abled but quiet , apart from the seagulls nice and quiet.

Thank you for your comments. We are glad to hear that you liked Gillan Cottage. Being in such a fantastic location, sitting above the town to make the most of a much quieter setting than being right in the town centre, does involve an uphill walk back to the property after a day at one of the stunning beaches of St Ives. The walk may not be suitable for everyone, but we are glad that you agree is worth it! For those that are not so keen on the walk, some prefer the shorter and less challenging stroll to the leisure centre where there is a bus service that runs most of the year down into the town, or others opt for one of the local taxi firms. Tanya, Customer Services
This is the second time we have stayed at Gillan cottage and have booked again for next year , a good location within walking distance of the pubs/restaurants in st ives . Much easier key collection and drop of with the key safe now at the property, spotless as ever with cutlery sparkling , nice touch now with the bottle of wine and the milk in the fridge on arrival also crisps and biscuits, Car parking on the shared drive with the owner which is a massive positive within St ives,
Mr Page Jul 2021
We stayed at Gillan Cottage St Ives in late June. The cottage is tucked away at the top of a steep hill, which is testing if you’re not very fit! But, the area is very pleasant and residential. No crowds- no noise! It was exactly as advertised - very charming, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. It has the bonus of onsite parking. It is only a short walk away from the Park n Ride at the Leisure centre complex, which takes you down to or back up from the town for £1. However, one drawback is the lack of outdoor space or veranda/ balcony to sit out in the evening. Overall, a pleasant stay.
Revd Key Jun 2021
Excellent stay at Gillan Cottage, the property had everything we needed including a good sized parking spot and is ideal for a family of 3 or a couple.
Mrs Rexstraw Jun 2021
Gillan Cottage was perfectly located in St Ives and had everything we needed for a week. The cottage was so clean and we had plenty of space for the 2 of us. Will definitely look to return I'm the future
Miss Dyer Apr 2021
Lovely cottage with lots of space for three of us staying comfortably. Not far from St Ives centre and beaches. Enjoyed our stay
Mr Hughes Apr 2021
Thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at this lovely little cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and hope to return again someday.
Mr Clifford Nov 2020
Would definitely recommend a stay at Gillan cottage, it was in a lovely peaceful area in a nice area with a parking space. It was very clean and there is everything you could need in the kitchen and you get a few things to start you off like washing up liquid and toilet roll. It’s well placed close to train and bus stations, beaches and centre. Would definitely go again!
Mrs Jablonski Oct 2020
We had a lovely stay in Gillan Cottage. It was absolutely spotless clean and really well equipped. The apartment is joined to the owner who just left us to it, so if you’re quiet like us this was great. The apartment is situated at the top of St Ives so if you do have difficulty walking this may pose a problem, but if you are a keen walker, there’s absolutely no need to use your car, we had some lovely walks to Lelant and Knills monument just to name a few. We found the best restaurant to be the Queens Hotel, the food and service was amazing, especially the Sunday roast. We had an amazing week despite having two days of thick mist and would definitely visit again
Mrs Birch Aug 2020
Enjoyable stay at Gillan cottage Lovely and clean and well equipped . Would advise guests to take extra towels It is situated on a hill so may be difficult for some people. We enjoyed the challenge of going up and down finding the shortest route . Would recommend good value .
Mrs Slowey Sep 2019
Very clean, comfortable, quiet and well furnished accommodation.
Mr Smith May 2019
Website and booking process easy to use / follow. Aspect Holidays staff were very friendly and helpful when I had to speak with them. Everything was done / sent as promised. Cottage description was spot on and the cottage itself was immaculate. Would definitely use this company again and would return to the cottage if we ever come back to St Ives. Thank you.
Ms Feay May 2019
Good location with free parking, nice and quiet but easy to access the centre of St Ives. Large open plan living area with lots of space to eat or just watch tv, very happy with Gillan Cottage.
Mrs Bartlett May 2019
This is a spacious, clean, well equipped property but it is a good trek into the town and to the beaches. There however buses that run to the leisure centre close by that you can catch. Although the property has lots of windows natural daylight is blocked by trees. Being a bit out of the way it is lovely and peaceful and has the advantage of parking if you want to explore Cornwall.
Miss Hayes Aug 2018
A great place to stop, a short walk into St Ives. Well presented and clean. Will stop there again when on our next holiday in Cornwall
Mr Froggett Jul 2018
Bit further out of town but a nice walk or there is a regular bus service a few minutes away and worth it to have its own car parking space.
Mrs Bartlett Jun 2018
Delightful accommodation ideal for two and a great base for exploring this part of Cornwall
Mr Baker Jun 2018
Lovely Cottage and very spacious. Ideal for a family as the bathroom is in the downstairs bedroom. A 10 minute walk to the town/ beach / shops but quite a steep walk back (ideal to work off your cream tea !), bu that is the same of most places in St Ives.
The owner lives next door and is very pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back to stay here again.
Miss Fisher Apr 2018
Really clean and comfortable property. Great location for being able to walk into St. Ives without being actually in the town where it is busy.
Mrs Webb Oct 2017
Charming cottage, very clean, comfortable and spacious. The visitor book tells the story, people keep going back and we will too. Couldn't think of anything negative to say. Its an excellent property.
Mrs Davison Aug 2017
A really peaceful, spacious and comfortable open plan holiday property.
Mr Tansley Jul 2017
Nice and spacious open plan living/dining area, easy to find and the advantage of free parking.
Mrs Bartlett Jun 2017
We had a very enjoyable holiday in St Ives The location and the quality of the flat contributed to our enjoyment. The flat also benefits from excellent WiFi and onsite parking.
Mr Cahill May 2017
Gillan cottage is a very spacious, clean n well equiped holiday home. Location is good but the walk too and from town is very steep. There is a bus route through out the day.

Good location, easy to find and free car parking. Regular and inexpensive bus service into town only 5 minutes walk away if you don't fancy the walk up and down the hill.
Mrs Bartlett Apr 2016
Booking and payment process was straightforward. Pick up of keys couldn't have been simpler and quicker. Very friendly staff. Property exactly as described. Very well equipped and comfortable. It was great to have a parking space.
Mrs Hughes Oct 2015
Pleasant location and apartment with fantastic view.
Mr Pattison Aug 2015
Beautiful cottage and perfect location to walk into st Ives. This was our first family holiday and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. Cottage was beautiful and clean with amazing sea views.
Miss Monks Jun 2015
Spacious and bright, off road parking, not far from town centre.
Mrs Bartlett May 2015
We had a delightful stay in a well situated, spacious, one-bedroom cottage. Great value. Easily accessible by road with parking. Highly recommended for couples staying in St. Ives.
Mr Green Apr 2015
A wonderful New Years stay at Gillan Cottage! Perfectly located at the top of the town, with great views out to sea.
Ms Shroder Jan 2015
Lovely cottage and location but not for those who don't like hills.

We are delighted to hear that you liked the property and where it is located. It is a bit of a steep walk up to the property from the town and beaches, though we like to think, (and it sounds like you agree) worth it when you get there! Tanya, Customer Services
