Not very clean considering COVID-19 situation, especially when check in delayed till 5pm for deep clean, spiders webs all over apartment, sofa smelt damp and musty, not sure a wet room suits a family apartment, especially when shower spreads water across entire bathroom floor. Bedrooms nice and cosy and beds comfortable.

Thank you for your comments though we were sorry to hear that you were disappointed with areas of the property. We would like to reassure you that a full clean had been carried out. As the first guests in after a few months of the property being empty, the cleaners were prepping the properties a few days in advance where possible and unfortunately spiders webs can appear very quickly, so we are sorry that this gave the impression that it wasn't cleaned properly. We will keep an eye on what you reported about a musty smelling sofa. Being close to the sea and experiencing more humidity in this region, damp smells can occur from time to time, but unfortunately with the properties all being left empty and not ventilated for a few months, this is something that has been reported quite a lot and will fade with the properties being used and ventilated again. We are very sorry if this caused any disappointment, especially given that the furnishings in George's Place are all fairly new. We will also monitor for further feedback on the shower room; water spreading across the floor is part and parcel of having a wet room so they are certainly not everyone's preferred choice, but when you are staying in the properties, you get to experience them in a different way than we do, so we will keep an eye on further feedback about this. Thanks again and we hope that you still had a great time here. Tanya, Customer Services

Had a lovely stay in George's Place. Very warm and cosy. Its close enough to centre of St Ives but just out of the way enough to be quiet at night. Added bonus of a parking space but the hill back up is quite steep for anyone with access issues. Would recommend.

We are delighted to hear how much you enjoyed George's Place and its fantastic location. Thanks for your comment about the hill back up from the parking; we have now added some additional information about that to the description, so that anyone interested in booking the property, will be fully aware of that. Thanks again for the helpful feedback; we hope to see you back again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

We had lovely time in George place and we will tell are friends

Great place to stay with children, plenty of space and manageable with a 2 year old who’s into everything. Perfect location above Porthminster beach and a lovely walk to the shops and cafes but avoids the traffic in the centre of town which is a bonus as it was very busy. Great to have parking, though it is down a very steep single track road away from the property. Overall, a great little place to stay.

Jun 2019

Stayed in the place for a few nights with friends. Found the flat to be the perfect bolt hole, ideally located very near the beach, but still easy to skip all the traffic and head out of town. Especially enjoyed the huge sofa, ideal for watching movies on a rainy day. Overall could not find anything to fault inside. The parking was a mega bonus too, 15 m from the beach, which made the car perfect for storing all the beach essentials. Would happily recommend to friends and hope to return.
