Cottage very nice but even though mentioned about stairs in the information if you are elderly or with any mobility problems this cottage is definitely not for you.

Great location and facilities very central which we loved. Property did smell damp downstairs which did put us off so never ate down there, had to buy air fresheners. Loved St Ives and have already booked again through Aspect Holidays but at a different cottage.

We are sorry to read that you experienced a damp smell whilst you were here. Whilst properties here can be susceptible to occasional damp smells due to the building materials commonly used here, and being so close to the sea; this is not something that has been reported at this property before, so thank you for letting us know. We will keep an eye on that and check on our next inspection. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed the fantastic location; it certainly is in an enviable spot within the town! See you again soon. Lovely holiday with family and friends in spite of adhering to the social distancing rules. Weather OK most of the time and the location is fabulous. St Ives is sadly too popular for its own good sometimes, though quieter areas and walks can get you away from the crowds. Brilliant for kids on the beaches. Great place to stay if you are tackling the South West Coastal Walk. Easy to reach by train too.

This lovely property is perfectly situated in the old fishman's quarter of St Ives, in Downalong. It runs parallel to the Digey, alongside Bunkers Hill. Only a few minutes walk from the Tate, Porthmeor and Porthgwidden Beaches as well as St Ives School of Art and many of the galleries. Similarly, the harbour is a minute or 2's walk away.

The property is warm, comfortable and a little quirky. This lends to a very pleasant stay in the winter months.

Stones throw is warm, cosy but fresh with a big personality. Very clean and very well equipped. Have stayed in the property twice for xmas week. Due to the lay out its not suitable for anyone with bad knees or mobility issues as stairs down to kitchen and up to the lounge area from the front door but a great entrance when you arrive ... common in lots of cottages in this area of St Ives stairs! Location is a 5 stars! Stayed with husband and a teen worked well for us.

Fab holiday, perfect locations, well designed cottage, good service from aspects

Stone's Throw is a wonderful and nicely renovated four-story (or storey) cottage in the center of town and less than a three-minute walk from two beaches. The cottage is clean and fresh. Despite its location in the midst of everything, Stone's Throw is quiet. No cars drive in front of the cottage because Bailey's Lane, where the cottage is located, is too narrow.

We are two mature women and found the cottage to be perfect for our needs. We particularly appreciated the availability of two bedrooms with larger beds plus a bathroom on the same floor, and a second bathroom on the bottom floor. We also enjoyed the convenience of the combination clothes washer/dryer and the dishwasher in the kitchen! Anyone with impaired mobility should seek other accommodations, however. Moving from room to room requires climbing narrow stairs except for the floor with two bedrooms and a bathroom.

The furnishings and beds in the cottage are very comfortable and the galley kitchen is well stocked. Be aware that the front door leads to a small landing, which means you must immediately go up or down a short flight of stairs to reach either the sitting room (up) or the eating area and kitchen (down). The top-story bedroom has two twin beds placed end-to-end in the middle of the room where the pitched ceiling is highest.

We stayed in late June and enjoyed glorious weather with mild temperatures. The town was crowded with visitors, which we expected, although it was sometimes a challenge to navigate the narrow cobblestone streets when a car drove through.

In all, we would happily rent Stone's Throw again and would recommend it to friends.

Fabulous house and amazing location which is why we keep coming back!

This is the perfect location in St Ives. So handy for shops bars and restaurants and about three minutes walk to Porthmeor Beach (or the surfing beach as we know it!)

Absolutely loved our stay at Stones Throw, could not have asked for more. From the perfect location to the added extras of beach chairs and buckets and spades, honestly couldn’t have been happier. Thank you for having us!!

Excellent location, really comfy beds and excellent facilities, everything you need provided

Fabulous Cottage with the perfect location , genuinely a 2 minute walk to everything St Ives has to offer . Couldn’t have wished for a better holiday or cottage

A fantastic location for exploring all that st ives has to offer. Literally a stones throw from everything! . . . But still very quiet and tucked away. Very cozy and comfortable, definitely worth a stay.

This Cottage is in the best location it's a one minute walk either way to the beach or the harbour with the high street and cafes on your doorstep. As it is on a side alley it is still very quiet. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the island car park which is the best one to park in

Fabulous property - so much space, great to have two bathrooms and even better with the shower by the back door to get the sand out of our hair straight away. Great service as always from Aspects. Most relaxing holiday ever!

Great location with all home comforts which add to relaxing holiday

We would highly recommend this beautiful holiday home in a great location and furnished to a high standard. We would recommend and hope to be back at Stones Throw soon!

Stones Throw was very warm and welcoming and our family from Australia's three children loved the stairs.

We thouroughly recommend Stones Throw due to the location, the standard of accomodation, cleanliness, facilites, comfort, tasteful decor and furnishings. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here, and we definitely intend to return!

An excellent cottage, very well equipped in an ideal central location, literally 1 minute from the shops; harbour and beach and the (provided) deck chairs and windbreaks are excellent. Clean, impressive and nice neighbours too and ideal for a family of up to 6 people. Would recommend to everyone looking for a central location.

It is a lovely cottage loads of space ,apart from the kitchen area which is only really workable for one person at a time. brilliant Wi-Fi ,...centrally located.

Thank you for your comments. As you mention, while the rest of the property is quite spacious, the kitchen is probably the smallest area of the house; though more than sufficient to prepare and cook your meals. It really is a lovely cottage though, so we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed it and its fantastic location. Tanya, Customer Services.
