Excellent accommodation, prime location.
Mrs Horwell Jan 2022
Lovely cottage very central would stay there again but anyone who has leg problems might not cope with the stairs as the bathroom is on the lower floor but as I said lovely place to stay
Mrs Morrison Nov 2021
Great little place to stay, very central & very close to the beach.
Mr Wainwright Oct 2021
Had a very enjoyable stay. Cottage in a fantastic location and was cosy, clean and well decorated. Would have absolutely no hesitation in booking again.
Mrs Hopkins May 2021
Stayed here for the 2nd time in October this year having stayed last year as well, great cottage ideal for a family of 4, good living space and ideally located right in the middle of the hussle and bussle of St Ives but in a quiet courtyard
Mr Willis Nov 2020
Super stay at Shell Cottage. It is located in a quiet courtyard, yet very convenient location for shops and beaches.
The cottage is cozy, comfortable and warm (great for an autumn break). It’s well equipped with a super bathroom.
Ideal for a couple or or 2/3 friends & dog friendly! .
Would book again.
Mrs Evanson Oct 2020
Very short walk to Harbour front and shops etc. Quite Courtyard location. Clean with nice decor. Excellent shower room. Great Free TV Packages.
Mr Roberts Oct 2020
Lovely, comfortable holiday cottage. Perfectly located in the heart of St Ives yet tucked away to provide seclusion and privacy. Already booked for next year.
Mr Garvey Sep 2020
Fantastic location, really nice property, bigger than expected upstairs. Car unload/load was far easier than expected. Secure parking a bonus.
Mr Criddle Aug 2020
Great location. Loading and unloading from the car is a bit of an issue as there is nowhere to do this without either blocking the main street out of the town or to attempt to drive down the main narrow shopping street that is busy with pedestrians. Parking is also awkward on the outskirts of town and the allocated space wasn’t available on our arrival. Outdoor space could do with some TLC. Otherwise, clean and comfortable cottage in a great location to access the beaches and shops easily.

We are sorry to hear that you had a bit of trouble with unloading and loading. Many tend to pull in on the corner by the café at the top end of The Digey, which is usually ok for a few minutes but it has been exceptionally busy this year so perhaps there has been a bit more traffic and pedestrian footfall than normal. Unfortunately, as an old fishing village, the roads just weren't designed for the traffic or parking requirements that we have today, so Saturdays in particular, with a lot of arrival and departure traffic, can be a little busy for unloading and loading but it all tends to settle down for the rest of the week, and the fantastic location, we hope you agree, well and truly makes up for it. Thank you for also letting us know about the outdoor area; we have passed on your comments to the property owner, for their consideration. We are glad to hear that you otherwise enjoyed your time here in Shell Cottage and St Ives. Tanya, Customer Services
We loved our stay at Shell Cottage and would definitely return. The location is fabulous and the cottage has everything needed. It’s extremely close to neighboring properties Therefore can be noisy and all conversations overheard. Also next door were all smokers so they were outside smoking (from 6am onwards) our house smelt of smoke throughout if the windows were open, closing them made the cottage extremely hot. All that said, we would definitely return

We are sorry to hear about all the smell of smoke getting into the property while you were there. This isn't something that we have had reported before, that we are aware of, so we would assume that it was a bit of a one-off with guests renting the neighbouring property, as opposed to a resident, and similarly with the noise. Whilst it is in the heart of St Ives, where there can be a lot of footfall, Shell Cottage is tucked away and generally fairly quiet for the central location. We will keep a close eye on any further feedback though, so thank you for making us aware and we are glad that you had such a great time. Hope to see you back here soon. Tanya, Customer Services
Shell Cottage Hicks Court just off the Digey. A lovely cottage in a quiet place just 2 minutes walk away from the harbour one way and 2 minutes walk to Porthmeor beach. The cottage was home from home with everything you will need.
Mrs. Hallybone Feb 2020

Mr Hollingshead Dec 2019
Really enjoyed Shell cottage, very quiet, yet right in the thick of it all, yes would return to this property, but we like to try different places, just 2 mins from Porthmeor beach which is so lovely, already looking to book for March, Aspects’s are just great.
Mr Smith Oct 2019
Wonderful cottage, cosy and well equipped kitchen, lovely big modern bathroom, beds really comfortable, cosy lounge with nice little terrace.all immaculately clean. Cottage is set back in courtyard so very quiet but only moments from shops harbour and beaches midway down the digey. Wonderful breakfasts all freshly cooked to order in the digey food room opposite Abundance of cafes and restaurants all serving good quality meals, but on my experience would not recommend the lifeboat inn. Staff of Aspects holidays very efficient and helpful. Would definitely recommend
Mrs McCurry Sep 2019
Excellent location, fab interior
Miss Nolan Jul 2019
We had a lovely stay in Shell cottage. Ideally located for the town, but not in the main flow of the busy streets. It is modern, decent size and very comfortable. We have booked again already. The only downside is the arrival / departure is difficult with the location and parking is also quite far away up hill.
Mrs Donoghue Jun 2019
Just spent a great weekend in shell cottage Really great location in the centre of St Ives.
Mr Aylwin Mar 2019
We loved our stay at Shell Cottage. Although close to everything it was tucked away and felt private and very quiet, which is hard to find in such a great location in central St.Ives! We loved having breakfast on the sunny and sheltered terrace. A great little cottage, thank you.
