Very comfortable well equipped house in excellent location for exploring the Tin Coast

September 2023

From the moment our party of 5 and a little dog arrived we were blown away by the cleanliness and the standard of the property. There was milk, apple juice, cake, dog treats and fresh flowers left for us which was a fabulous touch. The owners popped by to check we had settled in and if there was anything we needed. There was absolutely every kind of cutlery/pans/dishes/crockery etc that anyone could need. The garden was just gorgeous and we loved sitting out there watching the sunset over the sea each night. We had a brilliant week and not one of us wanted to leave. Thank you for a most wonderful stay in this beautiful relaxing property. Our holiday was made memorable thanks to this gem of a place.

Holidays in Pendeen

Once a thriving mining area, Pendeen is home to the award winning Geevor Tin Mine Museum, which was one of the last mines in the country to close. Retaining the feel of a traditional Cornish village, and with stunning scenery on the doorstep, Pendeen is perfect for a self catering summer holiday, out of season visit, or short break.

Although secluded, theres still plenty on offer in this part of West Cornwall. Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Pendeen is also recognised as a site of special scientific interest and a world heritage site. Pendeen is the perfect place to explore the ancient sites of Chun Castle and Chun Quoit, and the rugged coastline for which North Cornwall is renowned. Walkers will be in their element with access to the South West Coast Path, and many inland walks.

Top tip

Visit the Count House Cafe at Geevor Tin Mine for breakfast or lunch with a view!

An amazing week at Charlotte’s house in Pendeen. We wanted to stay in a quieter area but within easy reach via car to the major tourist areas in the west and North of Cornwall. This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this cottage and would absolutely book again. It’s a true home form home property.

What a truly beautiful house with everything you could need inside. Pendeen village was fab and again had everything you could want we had an amazing holiday and loved every minute the North end pub is fabulous ?? all I would say is that access is a little tight so if you have a very large car u might struggle and also some fans in the house would be a big bonus but overall an amazing place to stay we will be back thank you x

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your feedback and we are glad that you liked it. Whilst the driveway for the property itself is big enough, the access lane is a little narrow. It fits larger vehicles, but less confident drivers and owners of larger vehicles may find the access more challenging. We are glad that you found it ok, but we have since added further information to the website to help highlight this, so thank you for bringing it to our attention. Tanya, Customer Services

Lovely house, everything required, location convenient for lovely coastal walks, internet and smart tv as required for todays expectations. A lovely holiday home, thank you

We stayed for a week 14-21 May 2022. Charlotte's House is a really lovely and spacious property, full of natural light and comfy sofas, plus a very handy utility room opening onto the garden. We found everything we needed in terms of equipment in the very well designed kitchen allowing for two or three of us to be preparing food at the same time. The owners are just around the corner if you need them, and they left a gorgeous welcome pack of fruit juice, dog treats, milk, cake and more. If you are reading this, do go to Portheras Cove which is an idyllic stretch of cliff-backed sand rarely visited by the bucket and spade brigade as there are no facilities and it is the best part of a mile's walk from Pendeen lighthouse, but worth the effort. As we said to the owners at the time, the only thing we would change about Charlotte's House is to make part of the garden dog-proof (maybe even the meadow area) because unless you have a very well behaved dog, if you want to sit in the garden they have to be tied to something! Otherwise, if you are just a couple or a large family, the property should fulfill all your needs.

Lovely well equipped house highly recommended

What a fantastic property! Charlotte’s House is by far the cleanest and most well equipped holiday home we have ever visited. The hosts were lovely and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. Lovely finishing touches (flowers, treats, local apple juice, dog treats on arrival). Stunning sea views. Already booked for next year, can’t wait to return!

Charlotte's House is a lovely holiday home in a prime location. It is always spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. It also has a lovely garden. The location is perfect to explore the surrounding area. The owners always greet us and are on hand for any issues (we didn't have any) Aspects is a great holiday company and we always use them for our trips to Cornwall

As above.
Liked everything . The owners met us and let us in . House spectacular everything u could possibly need was there. Nice christmas goodies for us and the dogs. Cannot say any more really just spectacular.

Our stay at Charlottes House exceeded our expectation, the house was so clean and a great location. The extra touches of milk & biscuits and the call from the owners to check everything was ok was excellent. We have already booked again for next June.

Excellent house in a good location, with great views. Clean and tidy with lots of equipment. I would definitely recommend and look forward to staying at Charlotte's House again.

We have spent our fourth year at Charlotte’s House. It is definitely a home from home in the most wonderful location. The village of Pendeen is small and friendly. You can easily walk to the coast and enjoy the spectacular southwest footpath. We have been spoilt by the views from Charlotte’s House of the sun setting over the sea. We’ve booked again for next year and never want to leave.

We stayed at charlotte's house in May. Its situated in one of the loveliest parts of Cornwall and is easy to get to all of the places around mounts Bay and the North Coast of penwith area. The house is lovely. A quiet backwater in a lovely village. Very comfortable and well thought out accommodation. It was perfect for us

This is a great location in the village of Pendeen. You want for nothing in this house, enough plates, cups, glasses, storage space. The Earlby family have thought of everything Easy to get to South coast path and around the locations of the area (Sennen, Lands End, Minack Theatre, Zennor, St Ives etc). If eating out, I would strongly advise to book. But it is nice to come back to such a lovely house, a beautiful fire (you will not run out of wood!) and a comfy chair. Beautiful sunsets and stunning stars can be seen from the back of the house - it is a wow

Idyllic spot with panoramic sea view on one side and Moorland on the other. Great location as a base for day trips to St Ives, Gwithian etc or Sennen & Lands End in the other direction. Lovely walk across the fields to the coats path and along to Pendeen Lighthouse and Portheras Cove if you want to stay local.

House is equipped to a very high standard although there is very little mobile signal and FM radio in the house was patchy.

An extremely wonderful holiday home with lots of space and well fitted house. The fact that the superb furniture/doors etc were of simply marvellous quality and made by the owner of the property is an additional fact to be appreciated

We had a wonderful week at Charlotte's House during October half term. It is a cosy, warm house, with underfloor heating, big comfy sofas and beds, lots of open plan space, a great kitchen, gardens, parking and sea views. The slate floors and utility room are really practical and great if you have dogs! We really enjoyed our welcome pack of goodies and the friendly, local owners popped down for a chat and offered help with anything we needed. Pendeen is a lovely village with a shop, good pubs and walks on the doorstep, there's plenty to do if you don't want to get the car out, but it's only a short car journey to St Just (don't leave without visiting Cafe Dog and Rabbit) Penzance, Sennen and all the other lovely places to visit in West Penwith. We can't wait to come back and look forward to staying at Charlotte's House again next year.

Fab holiday at Charlottes house which is lovely, clean and spacious. Good base for getting around Cornwall. Owners very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Great property for a family holiday, and good for dogs.Pendeen is centrally located with easy access to both south and north coasts (we walked to the lighthouse). Local tin mine museum also within walking distance. Highly recommended.

We have just stayed at Charlotte’s House for the third time. We always find the accommodation to be spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and comfortable. It is in the perfect location with wonderful sea views and sunsets from the house. We never want our stay to end and have already booked for next year. The owners are really friendly and helpful.

We have now stayed at Charlottes house three times and booked for a fourth, each and every time the house has been immaculate. The location is superb, pendeen is lovely and portheras cove just a short walk away is a great beach. Our family love it here, it genuinely feels like a real home from home. We can not recommend Charlottes house highly enough. Superb

Charlotte’s house is in a great location, overlooking the village and on a slight hill. We still managed to push our mother in law up and down the hill in her wheelchair to get her to the pub. The pub, chip shop and local shop is less than 5 mins walk. The pub also serves great food and has good selection of ales, lagers and ciders. The fish and chips were awesome. We loved our stay at Charlottes house and would definitely go back again.

Just returned from are week Long stay at Charlotte’s house, very pleased from start to finish the house is very well equipped with everything you need and more, location was excellent only two minute walk to local shop, chippy and pub local beach 15 minute walk, cant wait to return. We stay in lots of lovely holiday homes and this is one of the best we’ve been in. Highly recommend this beautiful part of Cornwall.

We loved Charlotte’s House, it was beautifully decorated and so well equipped. We stayed over Christmas and the owners had decorated the house and left us a few festive treats which was such a kind gesture. The house was lovely and warm and had lots of things to do near by. We really hope to return soon!

Beautiful comfortable house, enjoyed our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Aspects again.

The house was comfortable, spacious, and had good facilities inside. Lovely view on days with good weather. Area the property is in was peaceful and aided relaxation.

Fantastic property. Visited previously and won't hesitate to stay again. Lovely family that own it. Area really relaxing. Great views from house and well situated for travelling about the far corner of Cornwall.

We all had a wonderful holiday at Charlotte House. Very comfortable and spotless accommodation in a wonderful village setting. We loved the views from the house, and enjoyed the garden and watched the sunsets and local wildlife. Within a couple minute walk of local friendly amenities. Sunday lunch at the North Inn was amazing and the chip shop fantastic fish and chips. The homemade scones and clotted cream a welcome touch after a long drive and fresh flowers in the dining room lovely touch. The owners checked we was ok and was very friendly. We enjoyed some local coastal walks down to the lighthouse and beach without using the car. Stunning unspoilt scenery. Can't wait to return.

Wow, what a place! Very well equipped and lovely and clean. The sofa's and beds were so comfy too and we enjoyed the great sense of space inside the house. Great setting, with a local shop and chippy only a few moments walk from the house.. We loved watching the sunset over the sea and enjoyed walking up the hill behind Charlottes House to see the far reaching views. Thank you so much for the super homemade scones, jam and cream left for us on arrival. They didn't last long. A touch narrow coming up the lane to find Charlottes house though, but it is in Cornwall isn't it and quite common. We will definitely return again, can't wait. A really great place, highly recommend to everyone.

We stayed over Christmas arriving late on the 24th December, the Owners greeted us to make sure everything was ok and allowed us to store our bikes securely in the garage. The cottage was very warm, comfortable and cosy. It is very well equipped and everything we needed was provided helping us to enjoy our stay immensely.

Charlotte's house is a lovely modern property. Extremely comfortable and well equipped. Set on the Pedeen coast with lots of interesting places to visit. The coast path walking is stunning. The local pubs are friendly and the food is good.We have been staying in rental properties in Cornwall for 25 years and Charlotte's house is up there with the best.

Charlottes House really is a home from home!

Our family of four stayed here for 7 nights and it was extremely relaxing and comfortable, we really didn’t want to come home.

The village of pendeen is lovely, not at all touristy but well within reach of tourist destinations such as st.ives and Penzance just a 15 minute drive away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to anyone.

Stayed at this property with our family 6 adults in total plenty of room to chill in and out. Very relaxing stay in a well maintained clean property with great views and excellent access to local area. Furthermore were made very welcome with nice touches from the owners and ensuring everything was in good order for our stay. Didnt want to depart.

If you want a perfect place to spend a holiday make it Charlottes house impossible to better.

Amazing property with all you need for a relaxing holiday

Wonderful fully equipped property which was a very comfortable stay for our family of five.

Very glad we booked this fabulous holiday home. It was lovely and spacious for larger families and beautifully furnished. Comfy beds for a good nights sleep after long coastal walks and the fresh Cornish air. Location great...sea view, great sunsets and just up the road from Geevor, Levant & Botallack mines with great walking paths. The coastal drive to St Ives is a bit hairy as several parts are single vehicle, but the views are amazing so it is a must do! We will definitely recommend and rebook this holiday home.

Very comfortable house, well equipped with plenty of space for everyone. Highly recommended.

We all very much enjoyed staying at Charlottes house. The house was very comfortable and tastefully fitted out. Perfect for a family holiday

We had a lovely week's holiday. The house was warm and comfortable and a lovely place to come home to. The owners parents who were next door were very friendly and helpful.
