We had a really lovely week in this apartment. All home comforts and more including a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee and scones. Well equipped kitchen and a helpful to have a washer and dryer. Lovely bathroom with a great shower. Very comfortable beds and smart TVs Nice location for Hayle but a drive to the beach not a walk. Lovely beaches at Hayle and 10 mins on the train to St Ives, we parked at St Erth station which was 10 minutes from the apartment. The millpond along the road became a daily walk for my daughter to feed the ducks and see the turtles which she loved. Very pleased and will definitely book with Aspects again.

Hayle Holidays

In Hayle town you will find a range of shops and bars, a supermarket, charming local pubs and the ‘famous’ Mr B's ice-cream parlour, providing you with a wide range of options for a self catering holiday. The King George V Memorial Walk can be found in the centre of Hayle and is a lovely, level walk, planted with a wonderful selection of unique trees which creates a leafy canopy around the edge of Copperhouse Pool, a large tidal water now a site of special scientific interest. Being just a short drive to harbour and beach towns of St Ives, Penzance, Mousehole, Porthleven and Marazion, a self-catering holiday in Hayle promises a holiday to remember.

Hayle is renowned for its 3 miles of golden sands, which stretch from Hayle Estuary to Gwithian Towans and Godrevy Point. With good surfing and great views, this safe, unspoilt beach is popular with kite buggies and sand yachts, but as it is lifeguarded in Summer, is a great place to spend a family day out. Hayle Estuary RSPB Nature Reserve

Great for bird watching all year round, the Hayle Estuary is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). In Autumn and Winter, thousands of birds migrate here due to it being the most south-westerly estuary in the UK, meaning it never freezes. The estuary provides a great place for walks, but dogs must be kept on a lead to avoid any disturbance to the wildlife. Find out more about the Hayle Estuary.

Paradise Park

If the birds on the Estuary are a little too distant for your liking, Hayle's Paradise Park allows you to get up close and personal with wildlife of both the feathered and furry varieties. With a large indoor adventure play area, a gorgeous cafe - and even an onsite pub, this is one for the whole family.

Hayle in Bloom

Throughout the summer, the Hayle community comes together to put on a wonderful floral display throughout the town. With an award from the South West in bloom competition at stake, and with fierce competition from neighbouring towns, Hayle pulls out all the stops in an attempt to retain its Gold medal, which it has won for 8 consecutive years!

Hayle Raft Race

In July, the locals wear fancy dress and take part in the annual raft race on the Regatta pool. Climbing aboard homemade rafts, partakers battle it out and race to the finish in an attempt to secure one of the winners trophies. Spectators can enjoy the bbq and bar on offer, and the bouncy castle and stalls mean there's plenty for the kids to enjoy. A fun day out for everyone. Read more about Hayle Raft Race

Tom Bawcock's Eve, Mousehole

The tradition of Tom Bawcock comes from the feast or famine lifestyle of Cornwall.  The story goes that it was just before Christmas; there had been no fish for weeks, the boats couldn’t get out into the raging storm, the village was starving. One man, Tom Bawcock, dared to take his boat out of the harbour’s safety. He returned with enough fish to make fish pie for the whole village.

Today, a festival takes place each year to celebrate Tom Bawcock's bravery. During the festival, Star Gazey pies are eaten in memory of this famous event.

A wonderful holiday in a fabulous apartment! Comfy beds and a fabulous shower ....perfect! Location is fabulous...Hayle has everything you could wish for , and only a short drive to Godrevy beach ever! We will definitely be returning!

Aug 2019

We enjoyed our week in Hayle- great location for exploring Cornwall. We really liked that Hayle wasn’t busy as it was a challenge to park in other busier places such as St Ives. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with a great shower and well equipped. The car parking space is a little tight (we were in a VW T5 van). The scones on arrival were much appreciated after a long journey.

Aug 2019

Ideal location for both town and beach. Convenient Asda store. Clean , tidy and alll mod cons. Ample space for four people. 2nd visit in 2 years - recommendation enough

Jul 2019

Very clean and well presented apartment. The outside stairs are steep and could prove awkward for less mobile. Lovely level walk to the town, passing the towns millpond, which is worth a look. We had a great week and would definitely consider another visit.

May 2019

We had an amazing Easter holiday 2019 Mellanear Court was the best accommodation that we have stayed in. It was so cosy and comfortable The weather was beautiful and we visited some magical places We cannot wait to return Would highly recommend this property and the service that Aspects holiday provides

Apr 2019

Very lovely apartment. Super clean and cosy, very comfy and well sized bed, great smart tv with great WiFi. Extremely modern new apartment and we will definitely be coming back hopefully very soon. I got the check out all mixed up and thought we were leaving a day later which I felt awful about when the housekeepers turned up to clean the apartment at 10. I rushed about trying to pack everything up as quick as possible but the owner told us to take our time and not to rush. Very kind and great service from the company and the owner. Had a lovely stay overall and I am very excited to be coming back.

Oct 2018

Fantastic cottage, clean and very very modern. I would highly recommend. Beautiful place in Cornwall easy to get to other places.

Jul 2018

Modern, spacious, comfortable, homely and clean. Within easy walking distance to local shops, superstore and wonderful beaches. Mill pond nearby is full of wildlife, local pasty shop within 5 minute walk. Superb location for local beaches, Minack Theatre and other attractions if required. Would go back without hesitation.

Jul 2018

What a fantastic apartment. We had a wonderful holiday here. The apartment is modern, tastefully furnished and well equipped. It is a good size and suitable for a family or 2 couples. The apartment is tucked away down a pretty lane within walking distance of the shops. Hayle is a great base from which to explore this part of Corwall. We would definitely stay here again.
