This lovely seventeenth century detached Cornish cottage is full of character and idyllically situated on a country lane a short stroll down to St Anthony Creek on the Helford river. There are large private gardens backing onto fields and woodland, and inside the spacious three bedroom house offers a kitchen breakfast room, beamed sitting room, a dining room, a bathroom, shower room and plentiful parking.

Positioned five minutes from St Anthony and Gillan Creek it is ideal for boat hire and has easy access onto the coastal footpaths to the coves and beaches of the Helford and Manaccan area. The villages of Helford and Manaccan are only half a mile away, with pubs, cafes and a village shop and if exploring further afield the Lizard Peninsula with many coves and beaches including the stunning Kynance Cove are only a 15 minute drive away. Opposite the cottage is a working farm, and if asked, children and visitors will be welcomed to meet the animals and see the cows being milked. Condurrow Cottage is a classic country cottage and a perfect base from which to explore this stunning corner of Cornwall.

We loved our stay at Condurrow Cottage. It was so peaceful and comfortable we didn't want to leave. Hopefully we will visit again in the near future.

Things to do

Seal Sanctuary

The old port of Gweek is at the head of the Helford River and is now home to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, a well known family attraction which rescues all sorts of unwell seal pups and sea lions, aiding their recovery and releasing them back into the wild.

Gardens

Trebah and Glendurgan gardens are close by and bloom beautifully in early spring and summer, making the Helford River a perfect location to visit all year around. With beaches stretching down on to the river side it's the perfect spot for a picnic!

Boat Trips

The best way to experience the whole of the Helford Passage is to take the to water and enjoy a boat trip, of which there are many available.
