Artist's Residence

£541 - £1320 per week

Relax into a calmer pace of life at the Artist's residence and enjoy the serene atmosphere. This waterside property is perfect for friends, or a family to unwind and create some fabulous holiday memories. The open plan downstairs leads onto a substantial decked area where you can enjoy the tidal river views. Maybe you will be inspired by the contemporary art on the walls and take the opportunity to sketch the riverside setting yourself? Alternatively, just enjoy the fresh air, with a glass of wine and a good book? Take time to say good morning to the friendly swans, as you decide what is on the agenda for the day. The more adventurous may wish to bring their own kayaks or paddleboards which can be stored at the tiny boat yard opposite and then at high tide, just head off to explore the local area from the water. The creative interior continues throughout the property with a lovely en suite master bedroom in the loft, and a glorious second bedroom, with a Juliet balcony, overlooking the water.

A leisurely meander up the hill, takes you to Penryn's high street, to grab the morning paper and then maybe head home via the wharf to look at the boats. The Artist's Residence is ideally located for foodies, as it is within walking distance from a variety of well-known eateries, including a great artisan pizza restaurant just around the corner, a fish and chip shop and the infamous Bango kitchen. There is even a yoga studio across the road if you fancy some sun salutations before breakfast. Falmouth is just a few minutes away by car, if you seek golden beaches, or fancy a day at the shops, or a trip to the Maritime museum. Boat trips can be booked from the pier to the Helford River or a cruise up the River Fal to Trelissick Gardens. The Artists's Residence is a fabulous retreat, after an exhilarating day of exploration in this beautiful part of Cornwall.

Situated on the coast, Falmouth benefits from four beautiful beaches, including one Blue Flag beach, Gyllyngvase Beach. The seaside town is home to the popular National Maritime Museum Cornwall, the historic Pendennis Castle, a selection of tropical gardens and a plethora of attractions to keep you entertained throughout your stay.

Take the ferry to Truro or St Mawes, and you’ll be able to experience the beautiful scenery along the way.
