Balgwidden is conveniently located in Back Road East in the Downalong area of St Ives and is a great family friendly property, just meters from the year-round dog walking, Bamaluz Beach and within a five minute walk, or less, to three other beaches so you'll have your pick of the bunch! The property is spread over four floors, with some of the most incredible views from the sitting room and one of the bedrooms. You can open your window in the morning, climb back into bed and listen to the waves crashing against the Harbour and, later on, watch the ever changing tides and local fishing boats, from the comfort of the sofa.

**Professional photos, including those of the kitchen, will be available once the current property improvements have been completed.** Please note that the owner plans to carry out an entire renovation at the end of 2018 as well, so make the most of staying in this traditional fishermans cottage this year, at a great price.

Additional information

gas central heating, please note that there is a spiral staircase from the kitchen, down to the wetroom and utility area, so may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or very small children. This is the only shower room in the property, but there is another cloakroom with WC and basin next to the sitting room in bedroom 1. The basement provides access for dogs to enter and leave the property with ease, however please note this is not enclosed, WiFi, two dogs welcome, short breaks available.

St Ives Feast Day

Held on the anniversary of the consecration of the Parish Church of St Eia in 1434 AD, Feast Day offers visitors to witness - and even join in with - some centuries-old traditions. A morning precesison led by the Mayor to bless the Well of St Eia. Following this, the Mayor will 'Hurls the Silver Ball' into a crowd of children who assemble on the beach below. The one who returns the ball to the Guildhall steps by midday receives a silver coin. In the afternoon the Mayor then throw pennies from the balcony of the Guildhall for children to collect.
