The apartment was beautiful, the views are spectacular. It is situated very conveniently for coastal walks and catching the train into St Ives. I would highly recommend this apartment and the service by Aspects Holidays.

What our guests say...

We know how important honest reviews are when it comes to booking your holiday. To help you choose the right property for you, we publish all reviews left by guests who have stayed here in the past, with the few exceptions stated in our Review Guidelines. Please bear in mind that some facilities referred to by past guests in reviews can be removed or changed at any time.

The view is lovely, the conservatory lovely. Location excellent. Carbis bay is lovely. Very nice tasteful décor, could do with some improvement for the below issues. The number of stairs are not accurately described, there are many stairs - up from carpark, up to apartment, and stairs up to bedrooms. Parking issues - there were no visitor's spaces available, the garage is too small, unless you have a very small car. The shower cubicles are incredibly small by todays standard. Provision for hot water is poor, 4 of us could not have a shower the same morning. The double bed was uncomfortable. The fridge-freezer had issues but assume they will fix this. Cleanliness could be improved considering the Covid -19 climate. We love Carbis Bay but would not return to the same apartment.

We are glad that you liked the apartment and its location and thank you for your feedback. We always want to be open and honest with property descriptions so that guests know what to expect when booking a property. Currently we state that there are several external and internal steps leading into the hallway but have not included a specific number, and we have included an image on the website of one of the showers to help show the size. We will continue to monitor feedback and can look to include more specific information if either of these areas continue to be highlighted by guests. We will also monitor the double bed and hot water. It is very difficult to find mattresses to suit everyone and this isn't something that has been highlighted before, similarly the lack of hot water hasn't been mentioned before, but if we get further feedback on this, we will certainly discuss it with the owner. The garage space, whilst very convenient given the lack of car parks in the area, is small, so we include the measurements so that this can be considered before booking. If planning a visit with a car that is too large for the garage, given the limited number of visitor spaces, it is advisable to look into other parking options before arrival. The team would be happy to help advise on this. Thank you for also letting us know about the fridge freezer and now that we are aware, we will get that investigated and have a chat to the housekeeper about the dust that you found under the sofa. We are sorry that this property had not met your expectations, but we are really glad that you still liked the area. Tanya, Customer Services

This apartment is very comfortable with stunning views.
The garage really is for a very small car and parking is not that easy on the rest of the site. We had a couple of small issues but once again Aspects provided first class customer service and rectified the problems straight away.

We are glad to hear how much you enjoyed this apartment, and we were glad to be able to help :-) The parking space is a little tight, especially when you have to take into account the space needed for opening doors, so we include measurements on the website so that guests can check that the space will be suitable. Parking is very restricted in St Ives and Carbis Bay, so having a guaranteed space at your property is a huge benefit and we do hope that this was what you had been expecting from the information online and that you found it useful. Tanya, Customer Services

The views from this property and the location are both perfect! Train is a quick scenic way to get to St Ives and leave the car! It’s also with walking distance of St Ives although there are stairs and a bridge to navigate if you choose that option. Carbis Bay beach is beautiful! Property has everything you need including hair dryers in both rooms. As everyone has mentioned, the garage is very narrow so just be aware. We look forward to returning!

Great view from balcony, very nice to use in good weather making mealtimes very pleasant. Nice place to settle and watch the world go by. Location is ideal for access to railway and coastal walks.

Second time at Carbis bay and it won’t be our last, amazing in every way.

The apartment was lovely and really well decorated and equipped. The only real issue we encountered was the parking. We were aware of the dimensions of the garage when we booked but were unable to get our VW Golf in the space. There are 3 Visitor parking spaces but they are very sought after, however we did find spaces on the road during our stay. The apartment is really handy for the station to get to St Ives which is a cheap and stressless option If you want to go there. We would definitely consider returning in the future.

We are glad that you liked it here, though sorry that the garage space was not what you had expected. We try to make the dimensions as clear as possible, but you will need to consider space that will be required to open and get out of the vehicle once inside the garage. The measurements online are the full width, height, and length of the interior of the garage. Should the garage space be unsuitable, there are the visitor spaces, but these are available on a first come, first served basis. The nearby on street parking will involve a bit of a walk and though it is also on a first come first served basis, there are generally spaces to be found. We are glad to hear that this apartment worked well for you and we hope to see you back soon. Tanya, Customer services

Very nice apartment great location and fantastic view across the bay close to the railway station.

Compass Point, Apartment 16 was a wonderful apartment. The detail in the fixtures and fittings was really good. The beds were very comfortable and the overall apartment was very well decorated. And the view from the windows, conservatory and sun area were outstanding. A great apartment, well worth the money.

And to be in bed, and listen to the sea crashing on the beach was fantastic.

Lovely holiday home with superb views over the bay. Well equipped and maintained and ideally positioned for catching the train into St Ives and walking down to Carbis Bay.

What an amazing apartment with amazing views, we were very sad to leave. The location is great, just a minutes walk to Carbis Bay train station so our trips into St Ives were picturesque, no need to use the car if you don’t want too.

We were very lucky to see 2 firework displays on Carbis Bay Beach during our weeks stay

Great apartment but check the parking details re car size first (unlike me) as it’s quite tight!

Lovely, well-appointed and exceptionally clean apartment with excellent views. Be aware of parking difficulties when booking and be prepared to find alternative parking. Our VW Tiguan would fit in the garage but only just. There are double yellow lines along most of the road. Pay and display parking at the station just below if required. We had no difficulty using visitor parking but it would not be so easy at busy times. Well worth it though to enjoy this excellent holiday location with spectacular views across St Ives Bay. We particularly enjoyed the option to eat outside on the balcony or inside in the conservatory overlooking the sea.

We are really sorry if the parking space hadn't been what was expected. It is within a garage, so whilst it will fit most cars, you have to allow for space to open doors to get out of your vehicle, so it will not be suitable for all vehicles. We include measurements on the website so that customers can make an informed choice as to whether this space will work for their vehicles, so we are really sorry to hear that this was not suitable for your vehicle and that you had to park elsewhere. We hope that it didn't take the shine off your holiday; it certainly sounds like you had otherwise had a fantastic time there though. If you are ever looking to return, please do not hesitate to contact us before booking, so that we can check on suitability of parking for you, and help you chose somewhere that better suits all of your requirements. Tanya, Customer Services

A really lovely, quiet apartment with amazing sea views from the large balcony. Carbis Bay beach is only a short walk away which is perfect. Would definitely stay again and have already recommended to a friend.

Absolutely amazing holiday apartment, beautiful views and fantastic location. Thank you

The apartment was so handy for the train into St Ives, 3 minutes and £1 each way. Much easier than finding parking in St Ives. Carbis Bay beach is beautiful, the apartment is ideally located for the beach, which has great facilities. The Apartment has good facilities and was comfortable. Sitting on the balcony in the evening was lovely. No noise and great neighbours.

16 Compass Point is an immaculate, lovely apartment, in an excellent position. Stunning views, conservatory is such a bonus. Very well equipped, comfy beds, pleasing decor. Access to the train for St Ives is so handy, given the parking difficulties there. Carbis Bay beach just down the road is perfect. Not so perfect is the walk back up!!

Loved the apartment. It is very spacious with great views & a wonderful outside seating area.

I've said it all above, but thanks to all the staff at Aspects, to the management team who ensure apartment is pristine, and to the owners who have equipped it so well with everything you could possibly need.

Perfect location for a mobile person. Lots of steep walks in the area so that in addition to steps at the apartment block it wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues. The accommodation was excellent. Very well presented & clean. Home from home

This is a superb location for an extremely well appointed apartment, stunning views and with station giving access to St Ives just steps away, alleviating the problem of parking in St Ives! We enjoyed a great week here, and would love to return. Would suggest not suitable for anybody with mobility problems, as there are quite a few stairs to negotiate, price one has to pay to get those views! Otherwise, perfect for a peaceful break.

Fantastic apartment. Perfect location and really well appointed. Great place for a holiday
