Sam Pitchford – Property Manager
Rest of Cornwall
01736 751158 – [email protected]
Sam’s South West tourism career stems from her days as an account manager for a leading international hotel booking company. From there, she moved to Cornwall in 2009 where she entered the self-catering market, further developing her knowledge and understanding of the county and holiday industry. Upon joining Aspects as their Property Manager, Sam quickly acquired new properties that proved very popular and now has many with high levels of repeat bookings.
Sam works closely with Aspects’ vibrant sales team to enable them to satisfy the demand for properties across all of Cornwall, alongside our St Ives and Carbis Bay portfolio.
Friendly, fun and energetic, Sam loves nothing more than getting out in the open air with interests including rock climbing, horse riding, kayaking, walking and generally exploring the myriad of coves and expanses of countryside that Cornwall has to offer.
Sam says “Cornwall is a truly stunning part of the UK with the far west offering spectacular cliff top sea views and hidden sandy coves or long stretches of white sands with great surf whilst the east side of Cornwall offers the ‘Swallows and Amazons’ feel to a holiday. The northern moors and thick forests can entertain a family with its long walks, historical houses and plenty of quaint Cornish villages offering a warm welcome and Cornish cream teas – a truly brilliant place to have a second home.”
Amanda Stinchcombe – Property Manager
St Ives & Carbis Bay
01736 751159 – [email protected]
Amanda spent her teenage years growing up in St Ives and has worked within the tourism industry from an early age. In the 80s and 90s, Amanda’s experience was mainly in the hotel sector, however as we approached the late 90s and early noughties, self-catering became more and more popular, with the choice of accommodation expanding every year.
Aspects moved their main office from Carbis Bay into St Ives in 2001 and Amanda joined the then small team in 2003 as a sales coordinator. The need for a full time property manager in our new Wharfside office was quickly recognised with potential owners coming in to ask for advice and information. She took on the task as well as continuing to take bookings as part of the sales team; however, as the business expanded with more properties and members of staff, Amanda’s role soon become more specialised and she now oversees the sales and property team whilst retaining the management of properties in St Ives and Carbis Bay.
In the last five years or so, the general standard of holiday homes has increased with guests’ expectations growing at the same time. Amanda says: “Holidaymakers are no longer content with basic accommodation, far from it; they want high standards of comfort, décor and cleanliness, whatever their budget and I am very proud to have been able to help Aspects provide exactly that. We have ensured that whether it’s a studio apartment or a five bedroom house, the standards remain high but we still have something to suit everyone’s taste and budget”.
Amanda’s personal experience of property renovation has enabled her to offer an added service to owners by helping them source all the trades necessary along with advice and information needed on how to create a holiday home that ticks all the boxes, whilst avoiding unnecessary expense. She has a genuine interest and enthusiasm for property as well as a desire to help retain the original magic that has kept people coming back to St Ives year after year. Amanda is available for advice and information to any owner, whether they are already with Aspects or simply thinking about investing in a holiday home from Monday-Friday either by phone, e-mail or in person.
Ross Sheppard - Client Account Manager
Cornwall wide
01736 751152 – [email protected]
Ross is our local Cornishman, born in Truro and bred in St Ives. He attended Portsmouth University in 2002 to study Leisure Resource Management with the intention of returning to Cornwall when his course ended. Luckily, he resisted the pull of the big city and returned to Cornwall in 2005 with a First Class Honors degree. Ross began work for Aspects in 2007 as a member of the sales team and has climbed his way up the ladder to his current position as Client Account Manager.
An outdoorsy individual, Ross enjoys active pursuits such as cycling, walking, the gym and karate. Like a lot of Cornish folk, Ross is a big foodie fanatic with a passion for cooking. He proved this when he went head to head in the ‘Hot Chef Challenge’ at the 2011 Falmouth Oyster Festival.
Working in a very customer facing role, Ross has what it takes to make a great client account manager. His work in sales has given him a unique insight into what the customer wants and looks for in a holiday let which he passes on to our owners. He is also on hand to give advice and direction and works closely with all our owners to help them attain the best bookings possible.
Ross is available Tuesday to Saturday to discuss any Owner/Property related concerns and answer questions and queries related to letting.
