Beaches in Polzeath

A haven for surfers, Polzeath beach is the place for both novices and professionals. The shape of the bay creates fabulous waves and the beach itself is flat and sandy with plenty of rockpools to keep children entertained! During the summer months you can feel reassured knowing a lifeguard service is provided. Over the hill to the south, less than a mile away you will find Daymer Bay which has a larger river beach and swathes of sand; perfect for building sandcastles! Whilst Polzeath has restrictions on dogs, Daymer Bay welcomes dogs all year round.

Despite being away from the hustle and bustle of better known tourist hot spots, Polzeath still has plenty to see and do. While away an afternoon exploring the town, pop into the Whitewater Gallery to admire the art and perhaps pick up a souvenir or two, take a surfing lesson or an adventure day tour before rounding your day off by visiting one of Polzeath’s fabulous restaurants for dinner!
