We stayed at the Blue surf cottage and enjoyed every moment of our stay there. The staff were friendly, helpful and good listeners

A great stay had by us all at Blue Surf Cottage! The location was ideal, close to beach and all amenities. The drop off outside the cottage was pretty easy considering location, and we left early morning, so literally packed up door to car with no problems. The attic room was a huge bonus, with a nice view of Porthmeor Beach.

Great holiday. Can walk barefoot to the beach. The Digey leads to the best shops in St Ives. Not recommended if you need the car daily. Recommended for families. Surfing lessons available on beachside. Lifeguards on patrol. Wet suits recommended. Beware of seagulls when eating yummy ice creams. Strong riptide at certain times. Keep within abilities from the beach. Great fun.

A lovely cottage just a stonethrow away from Porthmeor beach and Fore Street, and yet very quiet. Rather small, especially the bedrooms, so I‘d suggest to use this cottage rather for a family of max. 4 persons to have a little more storage for clothes, luggage etc.

Excellent location for the beach and town Quaint cottage

Fantastic view from the 3 rd floor bedroom

We will be back !

This property is not suitable for us as a family of 4.. we spend everyday in the water and have no where to dry things or store bodyboard/rings or 2 weeks worth of shopping/clothes.. we dine in most of the holiday and the lack of kitchen space was not ideal or the lack of been able to get rid of rubbish. We have teenagers and struggled and they come attached with a phone charger nothing else.

We are sorry if this is not what you expected. This is a typical, traditional fisherman's Cottage for the area, so they are often smaller and more quirky than more modern properties or those further out of the town. This property provides a convenient base, being just steps away from the beaches, shops, and restaurants, but there is no advertised outside storage space and the amount of storage inside will not work for everyone, though perfectly suited for many others. So, we try to show as clearly as possible, so that guests can make an informed decision on whether it will work for their party. We hope that you still enjoyed your time here. Location excellent Not suitable for people with mobility issues or small children ( under 5 ) 2 flights of very steep stairs one with rope banister the other no banister. Shower needs updating, very slow and cold with a shower curtain. Storage heaters, not good if you don’t like the cold, if they are not put on the day before arrival date, you have no heating until the next day ??????

Thank you for your feedback following your stay at Blue Surf Cottage. We were sorry to hear that the Blue Surf didn’t work well for your party. Like most traditional fisherman’s cottages here in St Ives, they often have quirky layouts and steeper, narrower stairs when compared to more modern homes, so we try to show this as clearly as we can on website descriptions. With this property being over 3 floors, and having the typical steeper stairs of such a property, it may not suit everyone, but we always encourage getting in touch with us before booking if you have concerns or any requirements that should be considered. We are very sorry again for the oversight with the heaters. They should have been on in advance of your arrival, and we hope that the portable heaters supplied at the time, helped while these warmed up. Thank you once again for providing us with your feedback, and we hope to see you back in St Ives again soon. Katy, Customer Services.
