We stayed at this amazing cottage for a week for my 60th birthday and cannot recommend it enough. Loe Cottage has the wow factor. Everything oozes luxury, from the beds, pillows and kitchen equipment. You won't get cold in this cottage, as the under floor heating is very efficient. The parking is an extra bonus in the Porthleven area. The views are out of this world, we even got to see seals on a stormy day from the Net Loft across the road. You can walk for miles, or just stroll down to the Harbour. We would love to return again one day, you need to book up way in advance, as it's always fully booked. You did it again Aspects, thank you for making my birthday special with the lovely flowers and gifts. We can't wait to book a 4th stay with you again sometime soon!

Holidays in Porthleven

Whatever you love about Cornwall, we’re sure you'll find it while enjoying a holiday in Porthleven. Relax and enjoy the boats bobbing in the harbour, pull on the walking boots and join the coastal path to Rinsey and Praa Sands, take a short drive to nearby Marazion and the iconic St Michael's Mount, or hit the waves and surf until sunset.

This charming fishing town has a relaxing atmosphere; it's gorgeous in the Summer and dramatic during the Winter. The granite harbour and pier with its famous clock tower has become an iconic storm-watching spot during wild wintry weather and offers a tranquil setting on calmer days.

Take a short break out of season in Porthleven and avoid the hubbub on the roads and beaches. Soak up the sun on the harbour front and watch the fishing boats pass by. Catch the first glimpses of colour from the acres of Cornish daffodils in early spring with the sea as a back drop as you drive from coast to coast. With easy access to the coastal footpath, head east to discover Gunwalloe Fishing Cove, Polurnan Cliffs and Mullion Cove or head west and marvel at Praa Sands, Perranuthnoe and Marazion.

Take a short walk from Porthleven and reach the coarse sand of Porthleven beach, reaching two miles south as far as Loe Bar, a sand spit separating the sea and forming Loe Pool, the largest freshwater lake in Cornwall.

Porthleven harbour is an enjoyable place to relax, with its cafés, pubs and restaurants providing the perfect place for you to sit outside and watch the world float by!

Top tip

Like storm watching? Visit in winter and you may be lucky enough to experience huge waves crashing over the clock tower!

We loved staying at Loe Cottage, perfect location, very high quality fixtures and furnishings, even a wifi operated oven which we've never come across before. It was a quiet location with sea views and just the sound of the sea, good parking across the road, not far to walk to the local pub for meals and drinks, or to the cafes for coffee and cake in Porthleven.

If you have dogs, not far from the beach and plenty of places for dog walking.

We would use Loe Cottage again if available, but probably in May/June as we had lots of rain the week we stayed.

Excellent stay

I can't leave a review for this property due to the way we were mislead by the owners regarding the status of the EV charging point.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We were very sorry to hear that the EV point set up hadn't been fully completed in time for your arrival to the property. Whilst this was resolved during your stay, we completely appreciate that you would expect everything to be 100% for your arrival, so we are sorry for the disappointment. We hope that you still had a great time here and hopefully we will see you back in Cornwall again soon. Lucy, Customer Services

Absolutely beautiful accommodation with great views of the sea.

Would highly recommend.

We (3 adults + small dog) had a lovely stay in spite of the rainy weather. Storm watching and seeing the waves crashing in from the lounge windows in the warm, comfortable and stylish living room was delightful. The town around the harbour is very attractive and unspoiled with a small supermarket. For bigger shops Tesco and Sainsburys are 10 minutes away in Helston. It takes just 10 minutes to get onto the S.W. Coastal Path in either direction. The bedrooms are small but very cleverly fitted out with comfortable beds and pillows. The twin bedroom has a larger en-suite than the double bedroom. Most importantly at night the only noise is that of the sea. We loved everything about this house and have already booked for next year.

Everything about this property had the wow factor! Great, quiet location with a stunning view, but just a short walk into the hustle and bustle of the town. A good size parking space was a real bonus. Quality fixtures and fittings throughout made it extra special. The owners clearly have extremely good taste and it showed in their choice of furnishings, gorgeous crockery and fabulous art work. The Net Loft across the road, was the perfect place to chill out, lulled by the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach below. Some great walks from here too. We absolutely LOVED it!

Extremely well appointed, the cottage and net loft had everything you could possibly need for a fabulous holiday. It makes a refreshing change to rent a property where everything just works and where there is a tangible sense that the owners have thought of everything the client may need for a memorable holiday.

This cottage is full of all the latest technology in appliances. No expense has been spared to give the touch of luxury. The living area is upstairs, giving a wonderful view of the sea. Across the road is private parking and the Net Loft with a further fitted kitchen, sitting and dining area and shower. Comfortable outdoor seating is provided where we had our barbecue while listening to the sounds of the sea watching the boats sail by. We witnessed several beautiful sunsets. The walk to the shops, pubs, and restaurants are only 10 minutes walk away and the beach a 5 minute walk. We had a fabulous holiday. After posting our pictures on Facebook, several of our friends requested details. Thank you Aspects.

Loe Cottage and Net Loft is spectacular. Beautifully decorated and furnished with every attention to detail. Everything you may need has been thought of and a superb place to have a Cornish adventure.

The property is located in an ideal location for a tranquil holiday with ease of access to the beach and harbour front attractions. Loe Cottage is an immaculate property with everything you would want to enjoy all aspects of your holiday and the Net Loft patio provides the “to die for view” to make it even more stunning. Comfortable, clean and luxurious, we could not have asked for a better place to stay. Looking forward to returning soon.

A beautiful property in the perfect location. We always stay in Porthleven every year, and are always on the look out for new properties there, this did not disappoint. The house was spotless - it has clearly had a very high quality full refurb - everything is new, fresh, and has everything you could possibly need. We were lucky with the weather which meant we could enjoy the outdoor dining area many nights - views really don't get much better than that! So very sad to leave, but we loved it so much we have already reserved our visit back next summer!

Amazing position and a lovely house, plus with the National Trust just around the corner making it incredible for the dogs too! The loft over the road is a brilliant addition especially if the weather isn't great.

After staying on Porthleven harbour for so many years we were unsure if we would enjoy being located further down the beachfront. Loe cottage was absolutely perfect , listening to the crashing waves each evening and it being so private was much better than we anticipated. The cottage was immaculate , the fixtures and fittings were of a very high quality. They had literally thought of everything you could possibly need and more , the only thing missing was an ironing board which i thought was strange as everything else had been covered . We will definitely return to Loe cottage and use aspects again in the future.
