A very comfortable, well equipped cottage only a short walk from the centre of St Agnes. The first stretch of road has no pavement so care needs to be taken. The stairs are steep and this is clear from the cottage information. It is a lovely area and St Agnes is a great village. The local museum is interesting to visit.

September 2023

The cottage was lovely, just as we had hoped it would be, very clean and well equipped. St Agnes is a beautiful place to stay and we could not fault the team at Aspects holidays. We’ve already booked a place in St Ives with Aspects, for next year as we need a bigger place for extended family, but we hope to be back at Pen Mor this winter

Holidays in St Agnes

Home to four stunning beaches, St Agnes is a vibrant surf spot, with a world famous bellyboarding competition taking place here each year.  Visit in early August and you'll be able to experience the colourful procession at St Agnes Carnival.

St Agnes provides the perfect base to explore the North Cornwall coastline. With stunning scenery on the doorstep, and a plethora of activities available all year round, there's something to do for everyone. Take a stroll along the streets which are full of quaint shops and cafes or for those looking to be a bit more adventurous, why not try your hand at surfing with one of the local surf schools.

The beaches of Trevaunance Cove, Trevellas Porth, Chapel Porth, and Porthtowan are all closeby, which are all worthy of a visit and each offering something different.

Did you know...

St Agnes is home to the mythical giant, Bolster?

Surfing in St Agnes

Located on the North coast of Cornwall, St Agnes is a popular surf spot among both locals and visitors. It is more suited to advanced surfers, however if you fancy a go, there are two excellent surf schools nearby to show you the ropes. The nearby beaches at Porthtowan, Perranporth and Portreath are all good for surfing too, so you'll have plenty to choose from when deciding where to go. Read more on our blog about the best surf spots in Cornwall. St Agnes is also home to the World Bellyboarding Championships which take place each year at St Agnes beach. Find out more about bellyboarding on our blog.

Events in St Agnes

A 'must see' event among both locals and visitors is the St Agnes Bolster Festival, which tells the story of the bolster giant which was known to terrorise the locals. This takes place on the May bank holiday weekend each year.

St Agnes Carnival takes place each year during the first week of August. Locals gather along with tourists who have travelled especially for this special occasion.

Pen mor cottage is in a brilliant location and if you love st Agnes like we do then it’s perfect. The floor space downstairs is very comfortable for 4 people. The log burner is very effective. It is a cosy space. We managed well cooking Christmas dinner in the kitchen. It could do with another coffee table for playing games infront of fire though. Upstairs the large double room is spacious and comfy but the second room very compact for 2 adults and only one bedside light. It’s not easy to work out if there is enough water for 4 peoples showers every day or indeed how to boost this with storage heaters. Overall we liked the cottage and beautiful views out of the back.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

  • Thank you for your feedback, it's always much appreciated. We are glad you enjoyed the property and that the space worked well for you. Regarding the hot water for showers, this isn't something we've had any feedback on before so we will monitor this going forward and just double check if there is a boost button. I will pass on your feedback regarding the coffee table. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Phoebe, Customer service
