The Wharf, otherwise known as St Ives harbour, is a hive of activity throughout the year. With a continual hustle and bustle on the water and along the harbour front, there is always plenty to do and see while self catering at the Wharf, even at the quieter times of the year. It’s an ever changing scene so perfect for those artists among you. Don’t forget about the very sheltered, sandy Harbour Beach, a perfect sun-trap in the heart of town and a great place to find seaglass and sea pottery! As night falls at the end of another perfect day, St Ives comes alive with a selection of bars, restaurants and cafés to suit every pocket and every taste in a truly cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Boat Trips
Why not enjoy the scenery by boat and explore the coastline with an excursion with St Ives Boat Trips. Fishing trips are available for those looking for a bit of adventure, or for a more relaxing experience, a visit to seal island lets you see seals basking on the rocks at certain times of year.
Eating and Drinking
The Wharf is home to a wide selection of restaurants and cafes, serving up fresh fish and chips to gourmet burgers, with something to suit everyone. Enjoy an ice cream or Cornish pasty and watch the world go by on the harbour front, but remember to keep your wits about you; seagulls in St Ives are renowned for swooping in and stealing food right from your hands!
Smeaton's Pier
From here you'll get a stunning view of the harbour, and an up close view of the crystal clear waters. At the entrance to the pier you'll find St Leonard's Chapel; originally dedicated for local fisherman, it is now a museum and memorial for the fisherman of St Ives.
Lifeboat station
Home to the new £1.5 million lifeboat, the RNLI lifeboat station is a popular attraction for visitors to St Ives. The gift shop next door sells souvenirs where all profits go towards helping to save lives at sea.

We had a totally relaxing Christmas at No 1 Harbour house. It is light bright, spotlessly clean and full of high spec mod cons. Fabulous apartment and location . The owners very kindly left us presents under the tree and Aspects a hamper, procecco and mince pies from Allotment Deli. Thank you. We would love to stay again.

Mrs Tiernan Sep 2019
AN AMAZING PLACE TO STAY! 1 Harbour House is in a superb position with an amazing view of the harbour and beach. It is beautifully furnished and styled and is spotlessly clean. Everything is provided for a wonderful holiday - even if the weather is not great - amazing selection of books, CDs and board games, with a specially provided selection to occupy children. The privacy glass enables you to be right at the heart of activity without compromising privacy and the window seat is a much sought after place to be! Harbour House exceeded all our expectations. It is the perfect base from which to explore all the beaches within the Bay and the headland walks. The close proximity of the shops and restaurants means everything you need is in a short walking distance - and it feels completely safe to be out in the evenings. Really loved staying there and can't wait to come back next year!
Mrs Buxton Aug 2019
The apartment had a great view and in a lovely position. Nice furnishing and very clean and modern. Plenty of games and good books to read. The only downside was the bedrooms they had no windows so you had to sleep with the fans on. One bedroom was only suitable for children or one adult.

Reply from Aspects Holidays
We try to be as open and honest as we possibly can with website photos and descriptions, as we would always want properties to meet guests expectations, if not exceed them, so we really are very sorry to hear if the bedrooms had not quite been what you had expected and too warm for you, without windows opening to outside. We try to describe and show the porthole window set up as clearly as we can and the limited space around the double bed in the second bedroom. Both beds are standard doubles, so can sleep 2 adults in each room, but we completely understand that this may not work for some, especially if you are used to king size doubles or bigger at home. We hope that despite your disappointment with these points, you all still had a lovely holiday in St Ives. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to see you again soon.
