Great little cottage for a couple or small family. Small kitchen abd bathroom so be prepared! Be very careful when open the front door to step out as the traffic seems to go a little faster than 30mph.

Thank you for your comments, and it is great to hear how much you liked Ivors Cottage. Many properties within the heart of St Ives are traditional fisherman's cottages; they are packed full of character, but often a little smaller and quirkier than more modern buildings. We try to give an accurate representation of the size and layout of all properties within our photos and descriptions, so hope that the kitchen and bathroom were as expected from the images online. As you rightly said, some guests may need to take care when accessing the property due to the roadside location. We do however hope that the convenience of the property's location and proximity to the town far outweighed this for you. Thanks again for your comments and hopefully we will see you here again soon. Lovely little cottage, very well equipped, everything you need is provided, would book again

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this very central location in St Ives. The property was beautifully presented and very welcoming, and we struck gold with parking nearby and ease to get around the area. Thoroughly recommend!

Great base for the exploring the wonders of St Ives, this is the second time we have stayed in Ivors Cottage and it didn't disappoint. Had all the essentials and loved the little welcome pack. Would definitely stay again. :)

We had such a wonderful stay at Ivors Cottage, so much love and thought has gone into this home. I am amazed at such great use of space!! The beds were so comfy, and it was in a great location the gas effect fire was a lovely touch on one of the colder evenings. I would recommend and come back here again.

This cottage is lovely, perfect for our family of 4 (2 young children) with the option to sit out and have breakfast, lunch or dinner which is St Ives is a huge benefit. For us the road noise was sadly just too much.

What a fantastic stay we had at Ivors Cottage. Wouldn't hesitate to return. The property is in a good location, up hill from the main town - 10 minutes walk down but a little longer to return as it is very hilly! There is a bus from outside the cinema but you need to check how far up as each bus is a different route. Plenty of buses to take you all over Cornwall - even to the leisure centre/gym! The cottage comfortably sleeps four adults - not much storage for clothing in the twin room as the washing machine is situated in the cupboard, above one bed.. wardrobe & drawers in the double room. The owners supply plenty of board games for those cosy evenings in! The bathroom is downstairs & has a lovely fitted & a handheld shower ?? also has a bath. Steep staircase but the cottage is so wonderfully, light that you see clearly so just need to be steady. The front door literally, opens onto the road - fine for adults but great care needed if children are visiting. There isn't any parking but there is a bay for three/fours cars just down the road - if you can get parked, don't move or you'll lose it! There are two car parks close by. The outside area is such a bonus. It is up some steep steeps & you can see the sea! Personally, we found there was an abundance of kitchen utensils that we wouldn't need & would've preferred an empty cupboard to store some food items but that's not a criticism, just an observation. Very small kitchen but we weren't planning any parties! Hope to return to the lovely Ivors Cottage in beautiful St Ives! ??

A lovely little cottage, equipped with everything you need for a break away. The owners have maximised all the space available. We had a great time with 2 teenagers who fully recommended the WiFi!!

Lovely cottage, well designed given the small spaces, great location for the town and beaches, and for my sister who lives round the corner. Beautifully decorated but in need of a little tlc and minor repairs. The fire is a lovely touch, although a bit tricky to turn on. All in all a lovely stay :)

The owners have made great use of the space, haven't they? We are glad that you liked it. Whilst this property is not marketed as one of the more high-end properties, for style and decor, the owner has always kept it very well maintained, so we have passed on your comments to the owner, and we will check everything thoroughly during our next inspection. Thanks for taking the time to send in your comments. Customer Services

Beds are very comfy. Road noise wasn’t a problem. Sofa was a struggle to fit 4 on. Well designed. We named it the tiny cottage. It was fine for a short break in autumn but would have been a struggle in the summer with surf boards etc. Lovely outside area for a morning cuppa. Overall, good value for money but purely due to the size, we probably wouldn’t stay again, although our teenage boys loved how quirky it was.

Thanks for your comments and we are glad to hear that you found the location next to the road, to not cause any problems with noise. We know that the grate in the road outside has been fixed now, so that will make a significant difference. Whilst the sofa will fit 4, it is a corner design, so may not suit those who like a little more space. Like many of the traditional cottages in St Ives, they can be smaller, with quirkier layouts than in more modern homes, but the owners have used the space really well here, to provide all the facilities that a family of 4 should need, and we hope that it's traditional, quirky charm more than made up for the smaller living space. Lovely cottage, good value for money and very tidy and well equipped!!

Beautiful little cottage within easy reach if the town. Everything to a very high standard. The kitchen and bathroom are extremely compact, so you need to be very organised! This was our second stay and we will definitely stay again.

Beautiful little cottage and beds are super comfortable. The outside decking and chairs was an excellent added touch to the property. It is about 10 mins walk into town/harbour/beach. St.Ives has everything to make an amazing holiday. Highly recommend.

A great little cottage. The road noise wasn't an issue for me. the bathroom is a little small, but I expected that from a small cottage. Would definitely stay again

A cute little cottage full of character. We had a lovely stay!

We loved Ivors cottage. It’s cosy and very well equipped as well as being close to the town centre. The furnishings are lovely making it a light and cheerful place to stay.

Had a fantastic week in this lovely cozy cottage! Good location and only a short walk to the town, and so much to do in the area.

Recently stayed for a long weekend with a girl friend. Property not too far out of the centre of St Ives but be warned there is a hill when returning! The property is clean and well decorated. The bathroom is downstairs and the sink is extremely small - you can just about brush your teeth in it! The biggest downfall to this cottage however is the noise from the road directly in front! There are 3 metal grids directly in front and this makes the traffic sound even worse! I would also not recommend this cottage for the elderly as the stairs are also quite steep. A nice stay but would not return mainly due to traffic noise.

We are glad to hear that you had a nice stay here in St Ives, though sorry to hear that this property did not work for you. Whilst it is a small traditional cottage, it is full of character and charm and the owners have used the available space well so that their guests have everything needed for a comfortable stay. We try to show the size of the property and fixtures as best as possible within the photos, so we do hope that this was what you had expected. We completely appreciate that the roadside location will not suit everyone, so it is certainly something that should be considered by some when booking, but for others, the convenient location for easy access to the town, and the comfort and great value of this property far outweighs this. Thanks for your feedback and if you are ever returning, please do not hesitate to contact our knowledgeable team who will be able to assist. Tanya, Customer Services

Pretty cottage, nicely furnished, large tv and good sitting area. However, we wouldn’t rent again due to the busy road and constant road noise which wasn’t relaxing whilst sitting watching tv on an evening and disturbed our sleep.

Thank you for your comments; we are sorry to hear that you would not choose this property again. It is on one of the main access roads into and out of St Ives, which we try to ensure is clearly highlighted in the description. We appreciate that this may not suit everyone, and we are sorry that this was the case for yourselves; but we hope that most will find that its charm and fantastic, convenient location, which is a stroll into St Ives or a short drive to easily explore parts of West Cornwall, still make it a fantastic choice of property. Ivor's cottage is clearly a much loved cottage, having been carefully renovated by the owners.

Tiny cottage, conveniently located, modern and friendly, no parking space nearby, charming and very individual furnishings, excellent to explore Penwith Peninsula from here or to enjoy the many offers St Ives has in stock on foot.

Lovely cute cottage, perfect for two. Property was clean and well decorated throughout. Worth noting the stairs, kitchen and bathroom are a little narrow - but we thought that added to the cottage's charm. Recommended for a short break in wonderful St Ives.

Lovely location, close to town, beaches and shops.
