This is a very comfortable, cosy house in a great position. Everything works well, beds are comfortable, rooms are attractive but uncluttered, showers and bath are good, and the kitchen is very well equipped. We had a lovely week in St Ives.

We had a great week

A great house with everything you’ll need. Location is perfect and having somewhere to park was amazing.

Bring clothes that don’t need hanging up, there’s no wardrobes!

We are so pleased to hear you had a lovely stay at 8 Wheal Ayr Terrace. We understand just how important storage is when staying at a property, and have passed along your feedback to the property owner who has confirmed that all three bedrooms currently have a chest of drawers as well as a hanging space. The owners do hope that this arrangement suits most people, but are very thankful for your feedback and hope they can welcome you back again. Katy, Customer Services.

Excellent property and location.

This is a great place to stay - well equipped and clean. Home has everything - it’s lovely to arrive to find milk, coffee and a bottle of wine. Have stayed here twice now and would recommend staying here.

Great views of the sea from the bedrooms. Having doors to partition the lounge from the kitchen/diner is a great feature. We did not use the garden area due to the time of year we visited, I am sure it is well used during the summer months. Kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms spacious too. The welcome pack provided was amazing. The wine even chilled. Such a great touch. The staff at the office are all really friendly too.

Lovely bright spacious house.....great to have two parking places !

I would totally recommend staying here - I have booked for next year. Loved being able to walk into st ives - it is situated on top of a hill but by the end of the week felt fitter plus I could eat lots of ice-cream as burnt of the calories with walking ??

Excellent house with everything you could need for a comfortable holiday in beautiful St Ives. Parking is tight but most cars could manoeuvre into the front space. Will stay again when next in St Ives.

Perfect. Spacious, comfortable & clean. Great location & views.

lovely place

Very comfortable with all equipment you could need for your stay. Bit of a steep hill to the beach, but it keeps you fit. Nice outside space at the rear to sit on a sunny evening. All the family enjoyed their stay and we have already reserved for next year.

We stayed at Wheal Ayr just after lock down in the UK and we were not sure what we would experience from our holiday. The service we received from Aspect was fantastic.

The house is a good size and great for a family as the downstairs space is open plan so worked really well for us. The kitchen was well equipped, washing machine and dishwasher. Really well thought out. A bonus having a downstairs cloakroom.

The bedrooms are all a good size with quality beds and bedding. The negative for us was the storage was all drawers and no wardrobe in any rooms although they are plenty big enough to have them. They have hooks in the rooms with hangers on.

The shower was powerful and good size bathroom.

The house has fantastic views of the sea and is a good position, the walk up Porthmeor hill is a great workout.

Parking - you have 2 spaces one at the front of the property to parallel park into, we have a big car and this was difficult maneuvering back and forth to get into. For a standard family car it would be fine. The parking space at the rear of the property can only be accessed by reversing down the lane and reversing into the gates into the paved garden. We didn't fit as you need to swing into the space and there is a parking space opposite that has a residents car in.

Overall, great property and we would stay here again but only if we had a different size car. (we have a Volvo XC90)

Thank you for your review. We are so thrilled to read that this property worked so well for you and it sounds like you had a great time, despite your initial concerns. Since receiving your feedback, we have made the front parking space measurements and the situation with the hanging space, a lot clearer in the website description. We have passed on the suggestion of wardrobes to the owners, but it really is down to the owners own discretion as to whether they would want to add these. Your feedback is really helpful though, so that we and owners can see what changes would be most beneficial to guests, so thank you for that. We hope to see you back again someday. I booked Wheal Ayr for New Year week as a present for my mums 70th birthday and my parents Golden wedding anniversary so it had to be special. Fortunately it was exactly that. The house was spotlessly clean, probably the best equipped holiday let we have ever stayed in and plenty big enough for four adults and two children. The location was fabulous - a 5 minute walk down the hill to Porthmeor - and made for a truly magical week. The only very slight downside was that the second parking space was rather tight, but to have two parking spaces so close to town is such a huge bonus that we soon managed to live with it. We will definitely be back.

Spacious and bright property simply and efficiently furnished. Clean and well presented. Need to bear in mind steep hill down and back from town although there is a bus service available.

We really enjoyed our stay in St Ives. The location is ideal, being a short walk into town and Porthmeor beach. We were mostly happy to wander round the town, so it was nice to not have to use the car. The property is really well equipped and had everything we needed, our baby daughter was especially well catered for. It is comfortable and cosy and has lovely views from the bedrooms. The only slight negative was the second parking space out the back was a little tight being at the end of a lane, but we realise parking is at a premium in St Ives, and may only be a problem if bringing more than one car.

A lovely relaxing stay at 8 Wheal Ayr Terrace. Clean and well appointed house with comfortable beds and everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday. Close to Porthmeor surfing beach and within a short walk of the town centre and harbour. The parking space at the front is quite small but there is an option to park at the back of the house. We would definitely stay there again.

Well appointed house, spacious, comfortable and cosy, very well equipped. Great to have parking too. Would definitely book again (but alas already booked up for all the holiday dates we can make in 2020!)
