March 2018

We had a lovely few days in Smithy's Stable. Really lovely and cosy accommodation in a great setting. We were greeted with a cream tea on arrival (best scones I've ever had!). Very easy access to St Ives and Penzance. We were very lucky with the weather and managed to have a couple of BBQ's at the stable which was an added bonus. Would highly recommend.

April 2017

What a lovely place to stay! Lovely little studio, well equipped, peace and quiet with it's own enclosed garden. Mark and Margaret were perfect owners, on hand to help and very friendly but you still felt you were in your own space away from the world. Would highly ideal spot for visiting all the best spots around the tip of Cornwall.

April 2017

The cottage was excellent, cosy, comfortable and everything you need for a holiday, the owners were very friendly and helpful, so we will definitely return!

October 2016

Peaceful, private and delightful surroundings, and the Stables are attractively decorated and furnished. Friendly and helpful manner of the owners.

October 2015

Great little property in a rural location with only a 10 minute drive to St Ives or Penzance. Owners made you feel very welcome with welcome and provided good recommendations of the local area.

July 2015

Absolutely top-notch standard. Perhaps just a teeny bit bijou for storage space? The charming all in one converted stable is so very stylish and tastefully decorated and basically well equipped. A little symphony in stone, wood, and wrought or cast iron! Big picture windows let in lots of light with a sweet little garden with seating outside. The spacious owners' gardens are all around, adequate and safe parking just 20 yards away, and the hourly no 16 bus route to St Ives and Penzance 15 minutes walk away down leafy lanes; a lovely easy to use wood burner gave lots of warmth every evening. The ultra modern shower room was sheer bliss after active days with lots of trogging around, locally. Liked Mark and Margaret A LOT! Super people. Will definitely return when we've saved up, but The Stables is heavily booked, and no wonder when a Cornish Cream tea awaits all newcomers! Is this one of Penwith;s best secret places? A little hard to find down winding lanes, but sheer joy when shown the waiting premises.Delicious ducks' eggs on sale down the lane were consumed for breakfast! What more could one ask for?

May 2015

I would highly recommend the stables to any couple. We couldn't get onto the wifi so if this is an issue for you maybe contact in advance. However if your after a nice getaway in a lovely , clean cosy environment then this one is for you. Ideal location to explore western Cornwall as well ! Hope to return !
