Up a country lane, you come to a small characterful hamlet where this wonderful converted stable is set within a small courtyard of similar properties surrounded by beautiful countryside and yet easily accessible to the bustling harbour of St Ives where you can walk to, if feeling energetic! Holding House Cottage is immaculately presented and offers spacious, modern accommodation with private parking right outside.

Bench seating next to the cottage offers a great spot for your morning coffee before days out on the beach or exploring this magical part of Cornwall. There are plentiful walks right on the doorstep and being set at the base of Trencrom Hill it is a short walk away from some of the most dramatic views in Cornwall stretching across from St Michaels Mount in the south to miles of golden sands at Gwithian in the North. A perfect base to unwind there is even a local artisan chocolate maker in the courtyard offering delicious gifts to take home after your holiday.

The cottage is very clean and comfortable and the location is perfect for St Ives, Penzance, and St Michael's Mount.

Local events

St Ives Feast Day

Held on the anniversary of the consecration of the Parish Church of St Eia in 1434 AD, Feast Day offers visitors to witness - and even join in with - some centuries-old traditions. A morning precesison led by the Mayor to bless the Well of St Eia. Following this, the Mayor will 'Hurls the Silver Ball' into a crowd of children who assemble on the beach below. The one who returns the ball to the Guildhall steps by midday receives a silver coin. In the afternoon the Mayor then throw pennies from the balcony of the Guildhall for children to collect.
