This is a great location for Porthmeor Beach and the harbour. We are a family of 5 adults and it has plenty of space especially the very large kitchen which is great for family gatherings. We’ve already booked it for next year.

The house is wonderful, super clean, location one of the best in St. Ives, all beaches within a few minutes walking distance. Lots of space, beds were comfy. But even though the pictures in the description are not wrong, they don’t really represent how the house really looks like. For this price we were expecting a more up-to-date interior. Anyhow, we enjoyed our stay, but we would only recommend to rent 18 The Digey if it was offered in a lower price range.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed 18 The Digey, and what could be better than being a few steps from Porthmeor beach! We are sorry to hear that the interior was not exactly what you expected from the photos online, as we always endeavour to market the properties in our portfolio as honestly as we can. We aim to offer a wide range of properties that we hope will meet the differing requirements and individual tastes of our varied customers. As St Ives is an extremely popular area to visit and more expensive than other areas in Cornwall, this is reflected in the cost of holiday rentals but we will of course pass your feedback on to the property owners. Thank you again for the comments and we hope to see you back in St Ives soon. Lucy, Customer Services

Great location!!!!!! We are a family of 5 with two teenagers so having to space was amazing.

The property is described in the brochure very accurately, for a person with limited mobility the stairs may be awkward but the property overcomes that in its central location. The Digey is central to shops beaches and restaurants. Wonderful holiday.

Traditional Cornish cottage

Very well equiped holiday cottage in excellent location.

Good location, and easy walk to the town, nice well equipped kitchen, bit dark and starting to need a bit of TLC, stairs are not good for elderly or very young children. Garage (close by) was a nice advantage especially in St Ives.

Thank you for your comments. A lot can happen to a property in a short space of time, especially after a very busy year already, so thank you for bringing this to our attention so that we can investigate your comments and pass the feedback on to the property owners. The stairs are definitely something that should be considered before booking, so we highlight this within the website description so that guests can make an informed decision as to whether this property will be suitable, so we do hope that this as what you had expected. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the great location and the huge benefit of parking, which is quite rare to have in that area of St Ives. Thanks again. Tanya, Customer Services

A great holiday property in a prime location for Porthmeor Beach but also minutes from the harbour. Accommodates 5 adults easily and we have already booked it for this September our third stay at this property.

Very good central location. We live in old cottage so used to steep steps and low headroom so may not be suitable for young children. As the kitchen is in basement it is dark but again old cottage in narrow streets which contribute to character of St Ives. Very helpful to have garage space close by. We would stay again .

Great location!

Excellent property with an even better location in the Heart of St Ives. Parking Is extremely useful, but tight so pay attention to size restrictions. Would absolutely stay again , and recommend to anyone with young families. The house had a Lovely little kitchen with everything needed. 2 minute walk to all the local shops. 5 minute walk to the Harbour beach, which the kids loved. And a short walk the other way was Porthmeor beach so again ideal location.

If travelling with more than 2 people would definitely recommend Pre booking pubs and restaurants with Covid restrictions. Would definitely give the Italian cafe on the harbour front a try.

Could do with a TV or radio in the kitchen. Stairs can be challenging but the location is spot on... seconds from Porthmeor beach and especially with parking so close and accessible. Mr & Mrs Ayres

Another lovely stay at 18 The Digey. We've stayed here lots of times, mainly because it's clean, well equipped, comfortable and has lots of character. It's also close to the beach and the shops. Having a safe parking space close by is an added bonus.

Would highly recommend this cottage.

Fantastic location and great facilities. Would stay again.

GREAT LOCATION HOWEVER RIDDLED WITH DAMPNESS AND DEFINITELY NOT CHILD FRIENDLY

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Many traditional fisherman's cottages here are built from granite rock which can hold on to moisture. The property is usually kept well ventilated, so keeps the risk of damp to a minimum, but unfortunately, it seems that after several months of the property being closed up during lock down, quite a strong smell resulted. Your experience is not usual for this property and whilst the owners include a note about the history and the risk of damp from time to time, they manage it as best as they can, without having work carried out that will completely lose the character of the property. We have since visited the property to check on your comments about it not being child-friendly and agreed that the stairs should be highlighted and be a consideration to those with young children or members of the party who are less mobile, as they are very steep and partially open. We have now added a note to the property description and the bookings team would be more than happy to discuss the layout of the property to anyone that may be looking to book it and has any concerns about the suitability. A very nice cottage in a great location for either the surf beach or the harbour. Very well equipped and comfortable we had 5 adults and it didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The parking space in the garage next to bumbles tea room is the big advantage.

Have been visiting No.18 for many years now and will keep coming back. Great location , good facilities. And Aspects have a great 24/7 back up service that we needed.

Lovely cottage location wise but overall presentation of the interior on the sparse side. Don’t get me wrong we loved our stay but next time we’ll try some other place. Parking space also a little more than a tight squeeze.

We hope that we have done that in this instance. It is a shame that you had found it to be on the sparse side for you, but we would be happy to have a chat and try to help find an alternative for your next visit, based on your preferences. We hope to see you back here in beautiful St Ives again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

Excellent rustic cottage in a perfect position, quiet and well equipped, the narrow stairways will keep you fit! Well worth it having the parking space.

An excellant stay, lovely house. Location near beach and town was ideal. Only negative was the sofa being uncomfortable.

Fabulous, comfy, spacious, yet cosy, cottage, super location - a short stroll to beaches, harbour and shops. Bonus of two bathrooms and a parking space.

Comfortable and surprisingly spacious cottage in a fabulous location. We had a lovely week staying here - partly due to the great accommodation and partly due to the fabulous February sunshine!

The cottage is a lovely spacious place to stay, in a quiet street, but the best thing is......so close to Porthmeor beach.

Fabulous location with added bonus of car park within two minutes of house and beach a few more steps, near harbour and town, had a great week, booked this house two years running

We love St Ives and the cottage was a quaint fisherman's cottage with lots of character and charm. It was central to the main street, harbour and bays.

Cosy cottage in excellent location. Office staff friendly and helpful

Number 18 feels like what it is, a cosy family home, simply shared with others! 1 minute from private secure parking spot and Porthmeor beach. Full of original features particularly in the kitchen. Been staying there since 2005 and will most certainly be back.

We enjoyed a wonderful holiday with our family, the house was very spacious, we have re booked already for next year!!!

A very comfortable stay with a great location a short walk from beaches, harbour front and eateries.

Good central location for surfers and shoppers alike

Perfect location, stress free parking made for a perfect holiday

The accommodation was good and had all the necessary equipment for a good comfortable week even if the weather out side was not so good Sits in an ideal position
