This beautiful and cosy cottage made our 2023 Christmas magical. We spent a week here over Christmas and didn’t want to leave. The cottage is traditional with lovely modern finishes. It was the perfect location to cosy up on the sofa on Boxing Day with the fire and a hot chocolate. It provided drying facilities for wetsuits and even welcome treats for our pup. It was a perfect winter stay. We parked in Barnoon car park which is a steep walk but as expected for St Ives. But with everything on our doorstep there weren’t many trips requiring the car. Would definitely recommend for couples or a small family. Thank you for a lovely Christmas.

Lovely little cottage in a perfect location for Porthmeor beach with all the character & charm you’d expect of a Fisherman’s cottage. The only negative for us is were that the beds are both Doubles, far too small for 2 adults to sleep comfortably, so we ended up buying our daughter an inflatable mattress & blanket to sleep on so we could have 1 bed each. This would be the only thing we’d consider when booking accommodation next time.

It's great to hear you had a wonderful stay in the lovely town of St Ives. We are sorry you felt the double beds in the property were not big enough for you, these are standard-size double beds so it is a shame these didn't work for your family. We do try to be as open and honest on our web description and through pictures so that guests can decide for themselves if this should work well for them or not. We are glad you still loved your time at The Digey. Phoebe, Customer Services

Brilliant location. Beautifully furnished. Cosy cottage. Would stay here again

Highly recommend this cottage as it's not only very comfortable but full of character. Delightful!

A beautiful gem of a cottage. We've been staying in St. Ives since 2009 and our first time at 32 The Digey. Very cozy, super comfy beds, amazing shower and nice area to sit and chill around the fireplace. Only a few steps to Porthmeor too!!

Cottage was dirty and tired, the owners need to spend some time giving it a freshen up, not up to Aspect Holidays usual standard.

We are very sorry to hear that the cottage did not reach the standard of cleanliness you would have expected on your arrival; and we would have loved to have had the chance to get this rectified for you by getting the housekeeper to reattend, had we known this was a problem. We can only apologise if any areas had been missed, and we will be keeping a close eye on this moving forward. Katy, Customer Services.

Another lovely holiday at this wonderful little cottage. So cosy and perfect for us and our pooch, steps away from beautiful Porthmeor and the lovely shops in St Ives. Thank you :)

The cottage was extremely dirty throughout, including soft furnishings, bathroom and all of the kitchen surfaces and equipment. In need of maintenance in several areas as had a broken shower door and mould in the bathroom, as well as paint peeling of the walls and ceiling. Filthy blinds in the bathroom and bedroom. It can also be very noisy of an evening due to the position on the corner of a busy couple of streets. Overall I would say this is not a great cottage to rent for the price being charged. Hopefully some work will be done to bring it back up to standard.

We are very sorry if the standard of cleanliness was not to the usual high level that you would have expected from the properties that we market; we can only apologise if any areas had been missed. We did offer to get the housekeeper back to rectify these areas of concern during your stay, which you did decline at the time, so we are sorry that we couldn't get these issues sorted during your time here. Since your stay we have spoken to the property owners, and they have blocked out the cottage for November so that they can carry out maintenance, book in a carpenter and get the place redecorated, in the hopes that this will being things back up to the standard guests expect. Katy, Customer Services.

Lovely position for Fore Street, Harbour and Beaches. It is in a busy area as can be alot of traffic. Bedrooms very comfortable and the property has a chilled atmosphere. Nice wine bar opposite and beach very close.

We have just spent a relaxing week at 32 The Digey and were lucky to have some amazing weather. The cottage is clean, comfortable and cosy and just a few steps away from the beach. It is also very close to the shops, restaurants and cafes. The harbour is just a few minutes walk away through the pretty cobbled streets. There is a lovely cafe just opposite the cottage which serves amazing iced coffee which was very welcome in the heat.

The cottage has the bonus of being dog friendly and there is also a dog friendly beach close by. The team at aspects holidays were quick to resolve an issue when I arrived and were very kind and understanding. Overall a fantastic holiday and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Stayed at 32 The Digey for 2 weeks in July / August 2022. Fantastic location a few metres from Porthmeor Beach, close enough that we could head straight to the beach barefoot for swimming and surfing. Also very close to the Tate, Norway Stores and the town just the other end of the Digey. The main bedroom felt spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The second bedroom was not so big, but was fine for our 2 children to share. The downstairs area was comfortable enough, but could possibly do with a bit of an update. Overall though had a great time at 32 The Digey, and would certainly recommend it for a St Ives beach holiday.

Lovely cottage close to the beach

Lovely well appointed cottage, so close to Porthmeor, very homely and comfortable (especially the beds). 3rd time visiting and we will return again.

Lovely cottage, perfect location for Porthmeor beach. Bedrooms were both lovely with exceptionally comfortable beds. Kitchen area tiny but really well equipped. Plenty of room for two, might seem a little small for four. Hope to stay here again!

Great location but needs decorating and a few repairs need doing along with change of furniture.

First class property , in an excellent location. Stayed here several times already and rebooked for next Year. A little gem. Tony and Jan

Overall the cottage was cosy, warm and comfortable. A real fisherman's cottage. The location couldn't be better as it's just around the corner from one of the best beaches in the UK. The only problem was the description of the bedrooms as one is very small with just enough room for a double bed, ok for a single person or a child. The mattress is the big bedroom is very firm, too hard for me, but the sofa was very comfortable (I'm 5ft tall so not suitable for anyone taller). There was everything we needed in the cottage and I would definitely stay again, especially as we were outside most of the time and St Ives is so utterly beautiful that you won't want to stay inside for long.

That location is amazing, isn't it? Not only just around the corner from the stunning Porthmeor Beach, but also a short stroll into Fore Street for all the lovely independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. We are sorry if the double bed and size of one of the double rooms was not what you expected. We try to show this as best as possible in our website photos as there isn't a huge amount of space around that bed, but still enough to be able to walk around it. With both bedrooms having standard double mattresses, we appreciate this may feel a little small if you are used to a larger size bed at home, but in terms of comfort, this is very much down to individual preference. We are glad that you still enjoyed it though and would return to the property despite the mattress comfort not being to your preference. Thank you for your comments and we hope to see you back here again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

Overall very good.

Lovely, cosy cottage in a great location.

We had a lovely week at 32 The Digey. The cottage is cosy and comfortable and has everything we needed.
It’s location is perfect to enjoy all St Ives has to offer and great for that early morning walk on the beach with the dog. We would not hesitate to rebook this lovely fisherman’s cottage in the future.

Lovely, cosy cottage in an excellent position. Perfect choice for me, my boy and our furry, four-legged friend.

Excellent stay as always , can’t wait for our next stay in may 2022 . Thank you

I have just stayed at 32 The Digey in St Ives. What a lovely, cosy property. Very conveniently located and everything needed was provided. The owner has gone above and beyond to see you want for nothing. Well done Aspects and well done the owner. We'll definately be back and more than happy to highly recommend.

Lovely clean cottage, great location.

We had a week at 32, The Digey in April and loved it. It was an ideal cottage for my wife and I and our dog. A typical St.Ives character fisherman’s cottage it was small but well equipped and very cosy and comfortable. The position is excellent as you are right behind the stunning Porthmeor beach but only a short stroll down The Digey to the shops and harbour. Norway stores is a well stocked little shop about 100m away and you have plenty of nearby options for outdoor eating and takeaways.

We loved the cottage and its perfect location close to the main areas of St Ives. We would definitely stay here again, it was great size as well for 2 adults. Service by Aspects Holidays was great too.

Perfect !

Its a lovely cottage in a fabulous location.

Great position especially for attending art courses at the school of painting! An excellent heating system and cosy, comfortable beds which were needed in the gale force conditions last week . It's a very tasteful and well equipped cottage and retains plenty of character. It even has a good selection of books. Just lovely to spend time in!

Fisherman Cottage - 32 The Digey

Excellent location, comfortable an ideal location making a wonderful holiday - already rebooked for next year

A great wee cottage in a great location take a right to the beach and the Tate, take a left to the town. Just perfect!.

This was a lovely, traditional St.Ives cottage. It was simply furnished but very comfortable. A few minutes walk from the Tate and Porthmeor beach, it could not have been in a better location. Although not large, there was ample room for the two of us to eat and relax. Both bedrooms were good sizes and the beds extremely comfortable. It was easy to find and a short walk to car park up the hill from the Tate. A tastefully decorated cottage, with some interesting art work and books. We thoroughly recommend it!

Great location! Well equipped with nice 'arty' accessories. Light and airy bedrooms. Good shower!

Cosy cottage , perfect location to Porthmeor, st ives town and main beach ! Cottage welcomes you home from a long walk or beach day !

Lovely homely feel without detracting from the quality of the accommodation. Enjoyed ourselves enormously.

Had a wonderful holiday in Fisherman's cottage. Fantastic location being only steps from the beach and a short stroll into town. We didn't want to leave!

We had a lovely Christmas week at 32 The Digey, stones throw from the beach and small walk into the town. The cottage was lovely, well equipped and homely. Plenty of books to read in the cottage, wet suits if you fancy a dip.

St Ives at Christmas was magical, the lights were amazing and it had a lovely feel. Can't wait to come back.

Beautiful property in the best location. Just perfect.

32 the Digey must be the bestlocation in St Ives! To be able to walk around the corner to the Tate and a fantastic beach was amazing. By day you are minutes from the hustle and bustle of shops, great cafes, boat trips and lovely walks. At night you can walk to good pubs and restaurants but it is quiet enough in the cottage to hear the sea. Heaven!

We felt at home in Fisherman's cottage almost instantly. The location is perfect... 30 paces from the beach - we counted. And I'd pop over to Bumbles for a cappuccino for breakfast, then down the other end of the Digeybto the St Ives Bakery for croissants and sour dough. The beds are so comfortable with deep soft duvets, you can lie in and watch the blue sky through the sky light and hear the sea... perfect. Then snuggle up on the sofa with the cosy fire and a glass of wine. A perfect location at Amy time of year.

Cosy, well appointed cottage , sunny aspect, can walk to all the main attractions in St Ives, great coastal walks on the doorstep.

This property is by far our favourite for both comfort and proximity to the beach for dog walks and surf! Already planning our next trip!

The cottage is in a wonderful location for Porthmeor beach, The local shop, the art galleries and studios, the Tate and all that makes St Ives so attractive. The cottage itself is warm and comfortable, modernised to an extent but has retained its character. Perfect for a couple or young family.

Excellent cottage with original features, a real sense of history decorated beautifully. Would definitely book again.

We come to St Ives regulary and this is one of the best properties we have stayed in. Not the biggest but perfect for a couple and their pet, 2 second stroll to the beach

A very comfortable cottage, ideal location for the beach and shops.

The property was exactly what it promised to be, and we were very happy with that. The cottage was cosy, comfortable, beautifully decorated, light and airy and freshly renovated. The linens and bedding was so comfortable I went out and bought the same things for my own home on the way home! We would definitely come back or recommend this property to others.

Lovely cottage, very small and cosy, clean and comfortable. Watch the stairs though! Second bedroom very small.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Being a traditional St Ives fishermans cottage, they are often a little smaller and layouts/stairs more quirky and steeper than in more modern buildings, but packed full of character. We always try to be as open and honest as possible, and try to give an accurate representation of properties within our photos and hope that we have achieved that in this case. We are delighted to hear that you liked 32 The Digey and its fantastic location, despite bedroom 2 being a little smaller than expected, and thank you for taking the time to send in your comments. Tanya, Customer Services.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage - the pictures don't do it justice, it's very spacious and stylishly decorated, as well as being extremely comfortable. With the best beach in St Ives just a minute away (you can hear the sea at night!) you couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended.

Charming but suitable for a young family rather than two couples.
