You also have the benefit of a private parking space, which is worth its weight in gold during peak seasons.

The Tate Gallery is also a must see, providing work by modern British artists with links to the local area. Carrying on into St Ives harbour, you will be overwhelmed with the wonderful choice of food, local ale and shops on offer and the experience is sure to make your holiday a truly memorable one of which you'll never want to leave!

Parking in Barnoon

Properties in Barnoon/Carthew are fantastic for those bringing a car to St Ives. Three quarters of our properties here come with private parking and there is opportunity to use the Barnoon car park. Apartments such as those in the Carthew Court development are located in residential areas and have superb, elevated views.

Self catering in Barnoon

Although you are still well located between Porthmeor and the town, self catering in Barnoon/Carthew allows you a lot more room to relax, with amenities such as WiFi and luxuries like sea views. Walk down the hill in one direction and you can visit the Tate and Porthmeor beach, or head right and you'll find yourself in the centre of town.

St Ives Feast Day

Held on the anniversary of the consecration of the Parish Church of St Eia in 1434 AD, Feast Day offers visitors to witness - and even join in with - some centuries-old traditions. A morning precesison led by the Mayor to bless the Well of St Eia. Following this, the Mayor will 'Hurls the Silver Ball' into a crowd of children who assemble on the beach below. The one who returns the ball to the Guildhall steps by midday receives a silver coin. In the afternoon the Mayor then throw pennies from the balcony of the Guildhall for children to collect.
