A wealth of hiking and exploration opportunities await you from the doorstep, sweeping sands, long coastal rambles and heart-racing dog walks across soaring sand dunes. On your return, the large bathroom is the perfect place to soak away coastal adventures at the end of the day, with either the rainfall shower or luxurious roll top bath.

Planted with busy pollinators in mind, Carnmallows garden is secluded and peaceful, with an outdoor swimming pool to cool off in the summer, while in winter indulge in some serious rest and relaxation by the flame effect woodburner. The intimate interior of Carnmallows offers a delightful bolt hole for all seasons, in warmer months kayak through hidden coves with a local coasteering guide, or enjoy days spent with sand and surf between your toes and sundowner evenings watching the sun sink into the ocean. With autumn and winter brings a different kind of cosy romance, so no matter what the weather, or occasion, guests will inevitably be tempted to escape to Cornwall forever.

electric heating, Carnmallows is situated within the gardens of the owners main residence and shares the pool with them, the owner is very happy for guests to use the pool and will ensure sole use at pre-arranged times during the day and evening, WiFi, one dog welcome.

Can’t recommend this stay enough! We had an amazing week at Carnmallows. The accommodation is perfect, equipped with everything and more. The hosts are brilliant. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. There amazing dogs made us feel at home. The pool was the perfect added extra we wanted and arranging pool times for sole use was a breeze. The sea view was stunning and the easy access to the beach topped it off. Can’t wait to visit again. Everyone must experience a stay at Carmallows! Hannah&Joshua.

Holidays in Praa Sands

With one mile of white gold sand, which looks almost tropical in the sunshine, Praa Sands provides an idyllic setting for a Cornish holiday. The beach is ideal for family picnics, sandcastle building, beach games and paddling, and the waves are great for surfers and bodyboarders. Praa Sands beach is surrounded by stunning coastal walks, with breathtaking views of Penzance, Mount’s Bay and The Lizard Peninsula.

Praa Sands’ nine-hole golf course is only minutes away, or for those who prefer a bit of history, Pengersick Castle is a short walk away where there are plenty of stories about the wrecking and smuggling that took place in the bay until the 18th century. Right on the beach is Sandbar, a modern and bright restaurant/bar with magnificent views across the ocean.

Places to visit near Praa Sands

Just seven miles away from Praa Sands is Penzance, a town with an eclectic mix of art studios, historic buildings, well stocked shops and award-winning restaurants. Visiting Marazion is a must when staying here, as the stunning St Michael's Mount found here is just a short drive away. This mystical tidal island provides the perfect backdrop for a walk along Marazion beach and offers an interesting day out. Helston, six miles away, is an ancient market town and gateway to the Lizard peninsulaHayle, also six miles away, has a new, easily accessible out of town retail development together with a dramatic golden sandy beach stretching for three miles to Godrevy Lighthouse. 

There's also plenty of places to eat out at when self catering in Praa Sands. With a selection a great pubs and restaurants in the area you won't be short of places to try out.

Beaches

When staying in Praa Sands, you'll benefit from being a stone's throw from Praa Sands beach. Famed for its white sands stretching almost a mile, this family friendly beach is lifeguarded in summer, and a great place to spend a day in the sun.

Holiday cottages in Praa Sands sit between two other desirable beach locations too; Prussia Cove and Mullion Cove. Like Praa, they are unspoilt and perfect for walking, swimming and sunbathing. Praa Sands is also a very short distance from Porthleven, a picturesque fishing village which has excellent restaurants and is known as a world-class location for experienced surfers.
