We loved the fresh bread and flowers waiting for us on arrival. The Sunday School was decorated with plenty of artistic flair and felt comfortable throughout. A great location to see sunsets at Lands End or for relaxed days out at picturesque Mousehole. Despite the weather my family had a wonderful week away. We would definitely visit Trethewey Sunday School again.

The Sunday school offers very large, peaceful and private lodgings for a holiday. As many have commented the beds are very comfortable and its wonderful coming out in the morning into the vast main hall with the light beaming in through the windows, the several seating options allow people to spread out but still be in talking distance. The space also allows any holiday art projects; puzzles etc. to remain spread out over the break, as there is plenty of space still on the dining table or breakfast bar for eating. The mezzanine now has a sofa as well as the desk for extra lounging space. The main TV grey sofa is low and soft but there are several other seating options about as well to try out. It is Rustic with a capital R and is very much set in the owners own style as can been seen in the photos. Think more of it as a stay in a relative’s spare cottage, the Sunday school has its own style and vibe and is not the standard white walled and furniture normal holiday let. You can quickly settle in and make the place your own for your stay. The super large fridge/freezer will hold the week’s supplies and treats and the cooker was quick and easy to use. The garden is more of a large pathway around the place, the left side is graveled, and the easier to navigate on and the rear side door lets you let the dog out quickly, fully enclosed with a 3ft gate. Personally, I find the large open space and privacy of the Sunday school the key to its charm; you really are in your own holiday place when you close the front gate and its offers a quirky , unique style of its own which makes a its part of the holiday rather than just being a base for the days away. If you want a holiday, place which has its own character and the photos have already intrigued you this is well worth booking.

We enjoyed our week staying at Trethewey Sunday School. The accommodation is charming, the living areas are spacious and relaxing, and the beds and sofas are comfortable. My husband and I also liked sitting outside in the pretty garden with a coffee or a glass of wine. The owners, Toni and Steve, are friendly and helpful. As a location, Trethewey is very convenient for getting to the Minack Theatre, St. Michael’s Mount, Land’s End, Porthcurno Beach and so many beautiful coastal walks.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and we have already booked again for next year. We have had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who are lovely! We hope to have a holiday, staying at this property on a yearly basis for many years to come.

We had a comfortable week in this lovely accommodation. The setting is perfect for access to the Minack theatre, dog walks from the door and beautiful beaches and countryside. The owner was friendly and helpful when a bird fell down the chimney and we requested help

We had the best holiday at Trethewey Sunday School and were really sad to leave. The property is beautiful, a real home from home. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the Sunday School, it's a beautiful building and very tastefully decorated but really feel the owners could invest some money back into it given the prices being charged. We had a minor issue with some flooding which was rectified but the building is a little unloved at present with roofing and guttering issues. Facilities such as the WiFi (router must be ten years old at least, repeatedly went down), cooker and other kitchen facilities badly need an upgrade. The garden furniture was also very cheap and uncomfortable which is a shame as the garden itself has a lot of charm. The place has a lot of potential and it is a gorgeous space, it just needs a bit of TLC to bring it up to match the prices being charged for it.

Fabulous, interesting house. It had everything that we could need. Super comfortable bed (we even took note of the pillows and duvet so we could buy the same at home!) great location to base yourself for local walks/beach. Also very close to a field with a football goal and a few pieces of play equipment, which the children loved - especially my football obsessed son! We’d definitely recommend.

Trethewey Sunday school is an original and quirky building, decorated in great style. There was so much to look at inside and out. The position made it ideal for many beautiful walks. We had a slight issue and I cannot praise the owners help enough. Steve was really friendly and helpful Highly recommend this property

This holiday cottage can only be described as wonderful. It has been beautifully converted and repurposed without losing any of its original historical charm, considerable thought that has gone into the design work which has bought all the modern things we come to expect in a holiday cottage to the fabric of this lovely all Sunday school. The eclectic decor, books and well equipped cooking facilities complements the conversion and made for a very comfortable stay.

We were here on the first week of December when the weather was appalling with strong winds and rain, yet it was wonderfully cosy with its underfloor heating, plenty of hot water and woodburning stove. The retention of the open space in this sympathetic conversion allowed for our family to enjoy each other’s company while simply eating and relaxing.

The reception on arrival was second to none, there were flowers and locally sourced food left there to greet us. The owners who we discovered lived nearby ensured that we wanted for nothing, checking in on us a couple of times.

We are pleased to say that over the many years of taking winter breaks in Cornwall this was one of the most enjoyable we have had and we look forward to being able to come again in 2022. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this cottage to anyone considering taking a holiday in the far west .

Quirky Cottage with upcycled furniture and off the wall art. We were greeted by flowers from the garden/local area, Panatone and mulled wine. Great location for walkers with or without their four legged companion. Cottage is tired and is in need of a deep clean, especially the oven, it's very dusty and all crockery, cutlery was not clean when we arrived, we found dog biscuits and bits of food down the back of sofa and the 2nd bedroom and bathroom smelt very strong of sewage and was overwhelming, spoilt our first Christmas away from family. Sad as the cottage has potential.

House is beautifully decorated and perfectly restored bursting with character. Perfect location to explore all local amazing beaches and coastline. Easy to check in/out with plenty of information in the welcome guide.

Very cosy and warm house to come back to unwind after a long day walking. Shower was amazing!

I also think my dog enjoyed himself more than us! Will be back next year.

The Sunday School in Trethewey lived up to our expectations in every way. It is the perfect base for anyone wanting to spend time on the truly exquisite beaches in the area and for those who enjoy coastal walks.

The property is really well equipped and it was a true home from home experience. Steve and Toni are excellent and are on hand if needed - even offering to bring us more vinyls to play on the record player if we needed!

We couldn't have asked for more and will definitely be returning.

Whatever you do when you are here, do not miss Nanjizal beach which is a 20 minute walk away!

Lovely quirky holiday cottages with decor to match. Very comfortable to stay in and great location for our 2 dogs to enjoy the holiday with us. The area is beautiful with loads of lovely country and costal walks and some amazing beaches to explore. There is a surprising amount of local takeaways if you don’t fancy cooking. We look forward to visiting again.

The accomodation was beautiful, unique, charming and relaxing. We all felt at home instantly.

It was a great location to explore the whole of South Cornwall. It was our first time in Cornwall and it blew us away. We normally travel to Scotland annually but thought we'd travel south this year. Despite the pandemic we felt that we could truely unwind and enjoy our time. We were welcomed with fresh eggs and bread which was a lovely touch. We picked up fresh eggs a couple of times throughout our stay from the vegetable/egg box near to the duck pond.

Nearby Porthcurno beach was stunning, my partner took a dip in the sea which was still warm for late September. The Logan Rock Inn is a 15 minute walk away, a lovely spot for a tipple before the clamber down to Pedn Vounder beach. We visited many beaches, towns and attractions. The Minack Theatre was stunning, it did help that the weather was warm and sunny too!

Overall we treasured our time here and would definitely visit again.

Just spent an amazing two weeks here! Porthcurno beach is fabulous (make sure you have change for parking as due to Covid the beach hut and cafe only take card payment and it is extremely difficult to get change from anywhere unless you go into Penzance which is about 8 miles away). Lots of amazing coastal walks - ask owners Steve and Toni for local knowledge if you get the chance, they might pop to water the garden and are very hospitable and friendly hosts without being intrusive - they will tell you walks you wouldn't otherwise know about like the one to Nanjizel beach which is beautiful. Lovely comfy sofas to relax on after a busy day and great beds too! Great location for travelling/walking to Lands End and Sennen beach.

We LOVED our stay at the Tretheway Sunday School. From the moment we arrived for our first holiday as a family of four, we felt immediately at home. Our 2 year old even referred to it as our 'new home' for the duration of our stay. Such a beautiful open plan building, with gorgeous box sash windows that let sunlight pour through. The beds were very comfortable with feather bedding and sofas were just as comfortable and great for relaxing at night. The building itself was very peaceful and the curtains in the bedrooms were great at blacking out the sunlight- this helped us to avoid 5 am wake up calls from the boys! The TV came with a variety of channels as well as Netflix and YouTube which was again very welcomed with our two little ones. We also very much appreciated the vinyls and record player, along with the vast array of books and selection of board games. There were many beautiful beaches in local proximity, a lovely pub just around the corner and a fab londis which was open 7-7:30. The hosts provided a very thorough folder full of local restaurants, beaches, places to go etc which helped to ensure we kept busy the whole time we were away. We were lucky enough to meet the lovely hosts on our departure and they were very understanding of the fact we hadn't quite managed to get out on time (life with two under 3!) We were all very sad to be leaving but felt a whole lot more relaxed than we did when we first arrived. A perfect holiday. Thank you Steve and Toni x
