We wouldn't hesitate to stay again at Folnamodry! We loved it so much we added an extra two nights to our stay to benefit from the forecasted sunshine :) It's full of beautiful local artwork and decorative touches that gave it a really homely feel and we felt that as soon as we walked in. Everywhere was super clean! The beds are very comfortable, especially for me who has a muscular condition, so this really helped. Everything was really good quality - pretty much of the furniture was from John Lewis. It's light, airy and more spacious than the pictures portray. The quality of the accommodation is amazing for the price. The secure garden was great for our dog and she also felt very at home here. The parking was great for my SUV apart from needing some guidance when pulling out as visibility is a bit restricted. The property is in such a good location for exploring West Cornwall. It's only a 20 min drive to St Ives, 5 mins to Penzance seafront, 15 mins to Marazion, 20 mins to Lands End. We can highly recommend Fish and Chips from Frasers on Penzance seafront and Porthmeor Cafe and Talay Thai in St Ives. We look forward to staying again in the future.

This is our 3rd stay at Folnamodry, we love the house and its location. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy all that the surrounding area offers. The house was spotlessly clean, and thoughtful items were provided for our dog, he actually ignored his normal bed in favour of the one at the house!! Can’t wait to go back for stay number 4!

Lovely spacious home, beautiful mature garden and with a bus stop right outside it's a few minutes into Penzance. Everything you need and lots of extras. Highly recommend!

This is our fourth stay with Aspects holidays but first time at Folnamodry. The property was just as described and we enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed an extra two nights. Well furnished and equipped and the standard of cleanliness was excellent. Well situated to visit places like Sennen Cove Marazion Newlyn and St Ives. Garden was secure for our two dogs. Quality of bedding and towels was very luxurious. Would definitely recommend Folnamodry and hopefully will return again soon. Such a relaxing place to stay.

Excellent property, all as described, great location for touring the Penzance area of Cornwall. Everything at the property needed to ensure a comfortable and relaxing break. Dog friendly with a secure garden area for morning exercise. Loved it!

A lovely cottage for a peaceful holiday. Well placed for visiting the surrounding area . Lots of local walks from the doorstep and a bus service outside if you don't want to take the car.

Beautiful, well equipped cottage with lovely touches throughout in a peaceful setting. Very spacious, clean and comfortable with a private garden. There is a bus stop just outside the property which is handy if you don’t want to drive into Penzance. Would definitely recommend staying there.

We had a lovely 10 days at Folnamodry over Christmas. The house was exactly as described & spotlessly clean. Lovely comfy beds and a really nice enclosed garden which was great for our Lab, Ralph. Kitchen had everything we needed & the range cooker was brilliant. Drive & parking also a bonus. Would definitely recommend & come again. Glynn,Polly,Jean & Ralph.

I was very sceptical in using the website at first but ONLY because I’d never done it before and everything seemed to good to be true! But I have to say everything that was said on the tin was inside the tin. Very impressed by everything. The welcome package was a delicious cream tea and a fresh bunch of flowers great treat after a long 4 hour journey down. We took our dog down with us and brought all of our own dog bedding and bowls etc but to our surprise Aspects had already provided these for us which made the trip all that much better. Lovely little location in a little village would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back! Such a lovely little cottage perfect for a family get away.

Beautiful comfortable home with lovely enclosed garden for the dog. The driveway is a bit tricky but we mastered it by the end of the week. Regular buses from outside. Lovely cosy traditional pub 2 doors away. They don't serve food but nice place to go for a drink. Would return.

Folnamodry was every bit as lovely as it appears on the Aspects website. Light airy rooms attractively and comfortably furninshed with a lovely garden too. The kitchen is far better than I have at home. However, keen chefs may want to take their favourite frying pan or other kitchen gadgets? Great cooker! Madron itself is a bit short of amenities but you don't have to travel far to get what you need. For me it was frequent trips to Newlyn to buy fresh fish. The village is well placed for trips out to the many beauty spots and places of interest on the south and north of the peninsular. Marazion, Mousehole, Porth Curno (Minack Theatre) and other beautiful beaches as well as gardens, galleries and Museums. If walking is your thing then there are plenty of access points to the stunning coast path. Aspects Holidays were efficient and friendly. I will certainly keep them bookmarked on my computer.

Stayed at Folnamodry for just over 5 weeks. The property is lovely, very well equipped, warm & comfortable. Aspects are on hand if needed, but provide an all in all brilliant service & I am just in the process of booking another property through Aspects (as Folnamodry is unfortunately booked!) Thank you!

We love this place so much that this was our second stay here. On arrival there was scones, jam and cream, a bottle of Presecco; and a card welcoming us back. A lovely touch. It’s perfect for walking to local landmarks and surrounding villages. We will definitely be going back…..again!

Great roomy cottage, great location and lovely village to walk round with the dog. Comfy beds and plush towels. Welcome pack was very poor and disappointing small milk and fudge. ?? Especially as we booked for new year break. Feel the dining room/family room could do with a TV as going with teenagers not everyone wants too watch the same.

Folnamodry is a beautiful, dog friendly cottage in a fabulous location. It was warm and cosy and we particularly liked the snug TV room. The bus stopped right outside and we easily got into Penzance. On our last day we walked to Madron Holy Well and Lanyon Quoit. They are easy to find and it wasn't too muddy but well worth the walk. The local pub is quirky, friendly and inviting. Unfortunately the local shop has closed but that is no problem if you have a car. The cottage is spotlessly clean and has incredibly comfortable bedding/beds. We highly recommend it.

Folnamodry is a beautiful, well equipped cosy house. The beds are very comfy and everything is so clean and well furnished. There is a such a homely feel to the property that you instantly relax and enjoy. It is a great property for two couples on holiday as there is a double and king-size beds. There are loads of little personal touches around the house and a pleasant surprise to have all Ecover products supplied in the kitchen for washing up and cleaning. Being welcomed by a cream tea was perfect thanks.

I spent hours online looking for a dog friendly holiday cottage with a safe enclosed garden, off road parking, a washing machine, WiFi, local amenities such as a shop and pub, and it needed to be a reasonable price. Then Aspect holidays and Folnamodry appeared and had it all. We didn’t know the Penzance area that well but Folnamodry was just out of town in the village of Madron. There are many walks from Madron giving spectacular views along the coast from St Michaels Mount to Newlyn, yet you have easy access to a range of supermarkets, shops and takeaways in Penzance. Folnamodry had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated, very contemporary but cosy. The beds were wonderfully comfy, and the kitchen well stocked with equipment etc. If we could buy Folnamodry we would retire there, as it was just perfect!

Excellent stay and the reviews on the website are accurate. As already stated the driveway is tight if you have a larger vehicle.

What hasn’t been pushed is the cleanliness.. I would say that this is the cleanest holiday home I’ve ever stayed in. No dirt or dust… the bedding and towels smelled very fresh. When stripping the bedding off the pillows and duvet we saw no marks at all on them, which is a first.

We’ve just returned from a lovely stay at Folnamodry. Upon arrival, the house was sparkling clean and smelt lovely - we both commented on the cleanliness. The house is much bigger than the photos and is really spacious and well decorated with a very comfy bed. Although we didn’t use it much, the kitchen was very well equipped. The only thing that lets the house down is the shower, it’s just not good. The house itself is in a lovely little quiet village and we had some nice walks around with the dog. All in all, a wonderful stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back (perhaps when there’s a new shower!!)

We had a very relaxing few days at Folnamodry. Kitchen is well equipped with a good cooking range and useful equipment. Very comfortable bedroom and pretty sun trap garden. If you have an escape artist dog like ours, be aware that the garden does have a possible route out behind the shed, but otherwise well fenced. Location is good for both Penzance area and, with a twenty minute drive, St Ives. The coastal trip via Zennor across the golden gorse covered hills is stunning in early May on a sunny day. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

This was a lovely house to stay in, but sadly let down by the very confined car parking and turning space for our quite large car. I found manoeuvring the car in the drive quite difficult and frustrating and I wasn't happy with the prospect of reversing either into or out of the drive because of the bend in the road.

A very enjoyable few days. The house is comfortable and well equipped and really well placed for exploring the far west. We would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay. Such a great cottage in a fab location. Local walks were great and it was easy to get to beaches and other areas of Cornwall to explore. The house was fabulously clean. Shower was great, water pressure we felt was really good. The dog was very happy here and loved the garden which was a lovely place for some Al fresco dining. We had a wonderful 5 days visit to Folnamodry. It is a wonderfully spacious, comfortable, well appointed house. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, the garden is delightful, and the beds are really comfortable. We found the house to be spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the local village pub in the evenings, and explored this lovely part of Cornwall. There are several walks from the house if you do not want to drive. The driveway has a narrow entrance, and any cautious drivers might find it a little challenging, however we had no problems, we simply reversed in. It is typical of a house of this age and character. Amazing house. You’ll never want to leave. Plenty of appliances and items in the kitchen to feel like you’re at home. Really bright property. Property heats up really quickly and had beautiful views of the garden. Water pressure isn’t great for the shower but it’s just so beautiful.
Would 100% stay again, we even looked up if it was green for other dates. Parking isn’t enough for 2 cars though. We struggled getting out 1 car ha!

We enjoyed our holiday in Folnamodry. It felt very homely and peaceful. The owners have a lovely home that they have shared with visitors. We explored the area and enjoyed the beaches. We would recommend. The Bird Family.

The cottage was in a lovely location in a small village only 15 minutes from A lovely beach opposite st Michael Mount. A great base to see so much of Cornwall.

The cottage was a hide Standard and very clean and comfortable. The small garden outside was really nice as well.

The driveway is a bit tight if you have a large vehicle but we got used to just reversing out to the main road.

We had a couple of negatives, like the shower is not great if you are tall and the water pressure was a bit weak. I like my TV in the bedroom and this was a miss at the cottage but it’s not really a negative is just people’s preferences.

I would also recommend using aspects holidays. Great company and very supportive up to the day you arrive and willing to help during the stay.

Thoroughly recommend folnomodry for a family holiday or couples, pets will love the large garden, with a lovely pub literally on your doorstep and the bus stop at the bottom of the house it makes for an enjoyable holiday.penzance 5 minute drive away, but with a bus service that stops outside every hour who needs the car. A lovely welcome pack of cream tea and a bottle of prosecco to get your1st evening off to a great start. The staff at aspects are very helpful and nothings to much of a problem

The house is perfect; and we felt instantly at home, especially as there was a welcoming cream tea; and a bottle of wine. The rear garden was totally enclosed which was perfect for out lively puppy. Lovely village location, ideal for walks to local heritage sites. Village pub within a very short walk, which has a lovely friendly atmosphere. We would highly recommend a stay at Folnamodry; and will definitely be going back

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Folnamodry. The property is tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable and roomy for four guests, very well equipped for our stay. It also has a beautiful garden we were able to sit out to eat on sunny evenings and the location is quiet and peaceful. A bus stop just opposite is handy as an alternative to travel into the town. The extra touches were welcome on arrival (milk, tea coffee etc). We would definitely recommend this property and Aspects holidays.

Beautifully decorated cottage with great facilities in a good location for exploring West Cornwall. Lots of nice touches around the property and the owners had thought of everything - well-equipped kitchen, plenty of crockery, lots of towels and super-comfy beds. We will definitely book again!
