A lovely place to stay especially if you're on a course at Newlyn Art School. Great view, comfortable beds, good shower, nice kitchen with the right equipment.

Lovely & spacious- clean and well outfitted. Beautiful views as shown in pics. Easy walk into Newlyn.. or Penzance.. The hill's a workout if walking back!

Amazing views from the lounge and bedroom, the football table room with TV was favoured by my two children! If staying with a dog, one particularly nice and safe 'off the lead' dog walk about 10 minutes drive away at Trevaylor Woods, has a river for the doggie and lots of tree swings for the kids! The walk from Newlyn to Mousehole was stunning. Favourite pub in Newlyn Fishermans Arms although food is on the pricey side (kids meals reasonable).

Porth Gwelva was a great place to stay, newly decorated, great location with walking distance to great restaurants in newlyn and close to Penzance for a good walk along the pier.

This accomodation was offered to us due to a problem with our original booking ... it far exceeded our expectations... the view is fantastic ... a delight to see from bedroom and living area ... the place was clean and fresh ... a brilliantly equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches... like clingfilm ,foil ,oil salt and pepper ... we love Newlyn

Porth Gwelva is a lovely property. Very clean and beds were very comfortable. We struggled to find it at first but only because we hadn't read the instructions properly so went down the wrong street! There was a boxed cream tea waiting for us on our arrival which was very nice and thoughtful. Lovely view from the living room and balcony. Would recommend this property.

A wonderful stay at this property - excellent location and great views across the harbour. The kitchen is really well-equipped. Everything was immaculate. We will definitely be back!

We’ve just enjoyed a fantastic week at Porth Gwelva. It’s very clean and well equipped. From the back of the house, we enjoyed the beautiful views across the harbour and watched the fishing boats for hours. Although it’s just a short walk down the hill into Newlyn, the walk back may challenge some but as parking can be tricky, it’s definitely worth it. There are lovely walks from the house either to Penzance or to Mousehole and so many great places to visit nearby in the car. We tried to ‘shop local’ while we were there. We can recommend Trelawney for fresh fish, the butchers - lovely sausages, Lewis’ Fish & Chips and the Duke Street Cafe was fabulous. The service from Aspects Holidays also deserves a mention as it was second to none. We hope to book Porth Gwelva again next year.

Fabulous stay can’t fault it

Fantastic Property, warm comfortable and has everything you could need. Great position and parking available, which in Newlyn is a major plus. We loved this place

Porth Gwelva is a lovely property overlooking Newlyn harbour, it has great sea views and is only a five minute walk to the centre of town.

The property itself is nice and modern with all the mod cons, we as a family especially liked the table football in the games room on the ground floor.

We will definitely be returning

Really enjoyed our stay at Porth Gwelva. It was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful view. Great to have parking but do make sure you only have a small to medium size car!

Porth Gwelva was a very clean and comfortable house to base ourselves. It had a great view of Newlyn Bay and we spent several evenings on the balcony with a bottle of wine. Great base from which to visit Sennon Cove, Hayle, St. Ives, Mawgan Porth and several other fantastic beaches. Nice to walk to Penzance.... Great food at The Navy Inn and The Dolphin Inn. Newlyn has a quirky charm to it. Would definitely stay again.

Just back from a week in Porth Gwelva, Newlyn. What a great house! Beautifully furnished. No expense spared. Kitchen so well equipped. The views from the balcony, lounge and front bedroom are wonderful. Parking space outside the house a real asset in Newlyn. Would definitely recommend this property and hope to return. 5 Star!
