We had a lovely stay. The property was clean and beautifully decorated, very calming and cosy. It’s in a good location, with easy access to the village centre. We were really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the restaurants, pub, the shops in Mousehole, we had some great meals without needing to get in the car. The bus links around the area are also very good.

A very pleasant little cottage only a couple of minutes’ stroll from Mousehole harbour (but tucked away so you don’t feel you’re right in the middle of the crowds). The decor and furnishing is done to a high standard, and overall the property is comfortable and well equipped.

Note there is no dishwasher - this is disappointing for a holiday let. Also there is no freezer or ice compartment in the fridge, which is also a bit inconvenient.

The outdoor space (a small enclosed courtyard) isn’t great - unfortunately it hadn’t been cleaned properly before our arrival and smelt strongly of drains, so we hardly used it.

There is no dedicated parking space for the property, and parking in Mousehole is tricky, with the main car parks being 5-10 mins walk away (and fairly expensive at up to £11 for 24 hours).

Very well equipped and comfortable cottage. Well situated cottage and close to the harbour. A lovely holiday.

Fabulous little cottage in the centre of Mousehole, beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable. Perfectly placed for walks and good restaurants in the village.

We had a lovely week in Fo'c'sle, the cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. It's in a great position, a short walk from the harbour, pub and restaurants. Parking can be a struggle but we managed to find a space in the harbour car park every day although I'm not sure that would be as easy in high season. There are lots of places to visit a short drive away - Sennen Cove, Lands End, Lamorna Cove, Porthcurno and St Just. Will definitely be back again.

This is a beautiful cottage in a very convenient and quiet location close to the harbour and inside this most beautiful and picturesque village. The quality of fixtures and fittings is high and the comfort of the beds a real plus .

We know Mousehole very well visiting every year for up to 4 weeks over 25 years …and parking is always an issue for some . It is unlikely that you will park your car nearer than 40 metres by away and more likely you will have to park well over 300 metres. It’s worth it .

Our stay was perfect, cosy cottage, very clean & relaxing. Beautiful location, fabulous walks and places to eat on your doorstep.

Lovely quiet location but still close to harbour. Cottage is well equipped and tastefully decorated. Outdoor area would be a bonus in summer, we were there over Christmas. Bathrooms spacious and single bedroom larger than it appears in photos. We would definitely book again. Wouldn't suit someone with mobility issues.

Absolutely loved this beautiful cottage! We went in October half term and it was very cosy with the log burner on in the evenings, really well equipped to cook nice family meals. Nice touches like the cookery books and house magazines and book library. The decor was beautiful and to a really high standard with comfortable beds and sofas. The bathroom was stunning with a big bath tub. The location was fab too, a couple of minutes walk to the harbour. We really enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this cottage, thank you.

We love this area of Cornwall and have been many times. This time we managed to secure a lovely little cottage named Fo'c'sle in the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole. The cottage is very well presented by the owner and beautifully furnished, wanting for nothing other than some grateful holiday makers like ourselves, to move in light the log burner and make it home for a short break ( heaven). I think we ate and drank in every establishment serving food and drink within Mousehole and a few in nearby Newlyn.( make use of the excellent bus service). Our favourite was the Old Custom House, bit pricey but excellent food and drink. Saying that everywhere we ate was very good. Be back soon Colin and Maureen Hughes

I’m so sorry. I wanted to love Fo’c’sle, I really did. The property has clearly been renovated to make it special and it shows in the fixtures and fittings. But it just doesn’t work.

There were so many frustrations with the property. Where to start? Well, with the details on Aspects website. It states, after you’ve booked, that there is "currently" no freezer in the property. Just a fridge with an icebox. This is completely wrong. There is a fridge but it doesn’t have an ice box! I queried in advance if there was an ice cube tray to which Aspects said they were unsure so they recommended I purchase some ice. Instead I bought some trays which turned out to be a waste of money as there is no icebox! And if I’d followed Aspects’ recommendations I would have just ended up with a bag of cold water…

Ironically the property DOES supply an ice tray! But nowhere to make ice! Ended up going to the Old Coastguard for my arrival G&T.

I would respectfully suggest that the washing machine and tumble dryer are replaced with a washer/dryer and the old cupboard above removed to allow a proper fridge/freezer to be installed.

And then you would have space in the kitchen potentially for a dishwasher. Yes, a dishwasher for which the tablets left for us could actually be used. Even the property information pack mentions a dishwasher. Except there isn’t one.

Next, the shower and bathroom fitments. The main issue is the shower in the main bathroom. It has a rain-style shower head approx. 7ft high which means my 5ft 2” wife gets soaked with cold water every time it’s turned on. That’s in addition to the water spraying out of the door. Then we both have to find various places to perch soap, shampoo and a flannel. Why not install a shelf like in the en-suite? The main bathroom also doesn’t have a mirror except for a small shaving mirror. The final issue is that due to the height of the shower head shorter people won’t be able to change the angle of the shower head.

It’s the most awkward shower I’ve ever had, and this includes one on a narrowboat that was only chest high!

The ensuite had a small mirror which, for my wife, only showed the top of her head so I swapped this with the larger one in the bedroom.

Wardrobes – er, none. So don’t bring any clothes you need to hang up

Instruction manuals – er, again none. Stated in the info pack to be in the top drawer of the unit in the lounge but this was devoid of any contents. I ended up googling the make/model of hob and oven as we have never used induction appliances.

TV – why is it placed so far into the alcove that anyone sitting on the sofa can’t see the left hand third of the screen? That area of the room is dead space so could easily be placed so that everyone in the room can see it.
