Lovely cottage, excellent base to stay at.

Another lovely stay in Cregyn. Such a lovely location and eve if you never leave the village it's a perfect getaway. The cottage was warm and cosy, well equipped for self-catering and we have booked again for next year!

A fantastic stay at Cregyn Cottage in Mousehole. We had such a wonderful time in this beautiful harbour cottage. The main door is on the Gurnick which takes you straight into the bedrooms and bathroom but we mainly used the back door - accessed on a path at the side of Mousehole Rowing Club on the South Quay. There's no view of the harbour from the cottage but it is no more than a 10 second walk out the back door onto the South Quay beach so it was perfect. It's very quiet and secluded which is precisely what we were looking for. The cottage has absolutely everything you could need for a stay; the kitchen was fully equipped and the downstairs living area had a dining table and 2 living rooms, one with a TV. There's also a toilet and shower next to the kitchen, ideally from coming straight in from a swim or paddle board in the harbour. The living areas are very comfortable and spacious and there's also a side door in the dining room area that leads to the outside courtyard. This is a farmhouse style door that's split which adds to the quaintness of the surroundings. Upstairs there are 3 large bedrooms, 2 with double beds, and one with twins. The main bedroom has an ensuite but the family bathroom is situated directly outside the bedrooms. The booking process was so easy and I have to thank the Aspect Holidays staff for their help with the booking process (I had to change my dates a couple of times and staff were also excellent in helping with a slightly earlier check-in time) as there was no request that was any trouble for them. I've been visiting Mousehole for 17 years and it never disappoints. This was however my first stay at Cregyn but will definitely not be my last.

This cottage is perfectly located for family breaks in Mousehole with a cosy, well designed downstairs. A ground-floor shower proved useful. The clean, light decor of the cottage was welcoming and thought has gone into providing a comfortable holiday space.

Like the cottage very much, very comfortable clean and tidy ease of access good discreption of the way to get to the the entrance and of the inside of the cottage.

We have visited Cregyn 10 times now over the last 8 years or so and it really is our 'happy place' as it is for many others. The cottage has such a history yet is warm and welcoming and has modern comforts. We like to eat in as much as eat out and it's very well equipped for this. It's great to have a dishwasher and washing machine to hand and a large fridge and freezer. The cottage is perfectly located for stepping outside and sitting by the quay and watching the world go by or spotting a seal basking; we never tire of the views from the harbour.

If you read the exciting children's book series 'The Smugglers of Mousehole' it is great to stay in the very cottage that inspired the author and owner of Cregyn, Alan Sanders-Clarke. The tales move from the modern day back and forth in time; from smugglers tunnels to hidden treasures...including features in the cottage itself which appear in the books...

The cottage is fantastic and in a great location in Mousehole literally just near the Quay. We've been twice before and loved the smugglers porthole in the living room. Would highly recommend.

My 9th stay in the lovely Cregyn Cottage. It is so comfortable and warm and I slept better than at home! Covid-19 precautions were well adhered to so we felt safe too. So many things to recommend about the cottage (and its mysteries as penned in the 'Smugglers of Mousehole' series of books written by the owner) and about Mousehole itself. Such friendly people in the Methodist Church and in the shops and cafes. We also experience a lovely 'Heritage Walk' with the very knowledgeable Elaine who is a Mousehole girl and press officer for the RNLI at Newlyn. Coupled with April sunshine it was another perfect break, especially in these unusual times. We'll be back in September!

Another stay in this historic and delightful cottage. It's always warm and welcoming, comfortable, well equipped and cosy. It's great to be able to walk from the front or back doors and be by the sea or the harbour. The cottage is beautifully decorated and combines modern comforts with historic features and if you read 'The Smugglers of Mousehole' books, written by the owner, it will add a whole new dimension, especially if you have children!

Cregyn Cottage stay 5.9.20 - 12.9.20. The cottage is in a lovely position and so close to the centre of Mousehole harbour, beach and the car park .Although some days you may need to wait for a space to become available.
The décor throughout has a coastal theme. The beds are so comfortable and the bedding was lovely - a good nights sleep was had by all! The kitchen has everything you require to self-cater should you wish to during these Covid 19 times. There are some lovely places to eat in Mousehole but he best ones were booked up before we left for our holiday for evening meals. The Whole Food Deli restaurant does a lovely paella and the Old Coast Guard Hotel has a lovely modern menu and service that is second to none. The Rock Pool Café was always very busy and our elderly guests didn't have the patients to wait in the queue. You can buy take away meals and Cornish teas at various places in Mousehole. Hope you have a good clutch as the entry and exist to Mousehole are very steep. We started entering and existing via Raginnis Hill past the bird hospital - less traffic and fewer corners just walkers mostly.

Nice place to stay, not much to do in the evenings as bookings needed everywhere due to covid. Early booking very much a priority. Parking very restricted and once parked achieved, makes you very reluctant to venture out again in the evenings as you will have parking problems on return.

We have stayed here twice now and had a really super stay. So lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Love the closeness to the beach and harbour - brilliant for the children. Would recommend Cregyn cottage to anyone.

I was born and brought up in the village so know the area well as well as the cottage. It's home to me.

The cottage was beautiful. It was in a near perfect location, close to the car park. The utilities were very good and there was plenty of everything.

Cregyn cottage is a beautiful place to stay. Great location, so close to the beach and with great character, the owners really have put a lot of thought into it. We have stayed in mousehole many times before, but never have we found a cottage so spacious!! Cregyn is a 'gem' & we have had a wonderful time !!
