Seawhisper Castle is an impressive Art Deco house dating back to the 1920s with extensive views across to Godrevy and Porthkidney Sands. This amazing home with a castle type turret at each corner is something to behold, with its own grounds and gardens. This house is ideal for large families with plenty of private and enclosed outdoor space, yet just a short distance from wonderful sandy beaches with great surf and the picturesque coastal path leading to St. Ives. Not one to be called minimalistic, it is full of colour and character throughout, from the linen through to the artwork, which the owners have thoughtfully provided, with local and international pieces as well as being creative with driftwood, old rowing oars and a canoe!

The huge expanse of sands at Porthkidney Beach is just a few minutes walk down the coastal path or the more well known Carbis Bay beach is also only a short walk from this wonderful family holiday home. Easily accessible by car makes exploring the wider area easy and the scenic costal train is the perfect way to reach St Ives and enjoy a meal out in one of the many eateries.

Lovely quirky property in an exceptional location. Spacious and very comfortable. Easy access to the coast path and very quiet. Beautifully decorated for the festive season. Thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

Beautiful location, stunning views, lovely grounds and house and in summer is probably perfect but in colder weather it has issues. In the description he says that there could be damp, unfortunately there was black mould on quite a few walls which is more than just a bit damp. The owner did let us leave and sort a refund so we could find a different property as we were not happy with the damp issues. Aspect holidays we fantastic with sorting the whole thing out.

Being right on the coastal path, Seawhisper Castle has some of the most amazing views, and with the unique décor, it offers something very special. But being in such an amazing elevated coastal location, it can be very open to the elements, and with showers in a couple of bedrooms, if they don't get adequate ventilation during the week, it can lead to a build-up. However, the owners and their housekeeper usually do a great top of keeping on top of and preventing this from becoming a problem, but it can be a risk from time to time, and so we try to warn of this on the website. We were really sorry to hear of your disappointment and glad that we could help. Aspects Holidays

Seawhisper is in a fantastic location for panoramic views across the bay. So peaceful and relaxing to spend time there, with all the facilities of St Ives so easily accessible by train or on foot. La Casita is well worth a visit.

The gardens in this property are amazing. Always a spot to sit so you can chase the sun round the garden, though the decking off the living / dining room is in the sun from morning to night, perfect for lazy days. Close enough to be able to walk in to St Ives, though the hills are a killer we opted for a taxi back to save our legs, which were very reasonable and there where plenty about at all times of the day. Nice walk down to the beach, a little tricky at the end but worth it when you get down.

The seawhisper Castle is a pleasant and quirky accommodation with amazing views across the Hayle estuary and surrounding area. Positioned on the headland with the costal paths that take you to St ives/ Carbis Bay and beaches. You can catch the train to bustling St Ives for £1 single or you can walk on the coastal path. We went several times to the Spanish restaurant located at the top of the road .you can walk to it around 10mins from the property. There is a costcutter also on the main road that has a good selection and only 12 mins walk for your essential needs . Big shops are only a few minutes drive in Carbis Bay(tesco) and Hayle( Asda) . There is plenty to vist in the surrounding area. This has been our second vist to this property and we be looking forward to return to Carbis Bay soon and this little bit of heaven.

Amazing Easter break, first time at Sea whisper castle and OMG pulling up to them views were amazing, took us a good while to take it all in! Welcomed by a very very generous welcome pack which we were so grateful for, we had a food shop delivery as soon as we arrived from asda which was great. House very well equipped for everything you need and more, location was fantastic. More than enough seating for everyone, great garden space and spent alot of time in the little summer house which had amazing views, nice little touches like binoculars and crowns on the kings chair! The only minor thing i would say is the bedrooms did have a damp feel and some of our clothes did feel damp when getting dressed in the mornings and there was a damp smell in the bedrooms too but this wouldn't stop us from staying again. Thank you very much

This was our second stay at Seawhisper Castle and we all enjoyed another fabulous holiday!

The welcome pack was again so generous, with lovely Easter treats, amazing fruit, alcohol, scones with cream and jam, biscuits and crisps. The owners let us come a day early at no extra cost which was so kind of them! They left a personal card wishing us a happy holiday - such a nice touch. Thanks so much!

The house has amazing views and has so many unusual/quirky furniture pieces, ornaments loads of interesting books to read and comfortable seating areas inside and out. It's so easy just to stay in and watch the sea, estuary boats and garden birds!

Idris, our cocker spaniel, loved the enclosed garden and the many walking opportunities straight from the house.

There are loads of activities for the whole family on doorstep and it's also a great take-off point for exploring other Cornish attractions. Short walk to Carbis Bay station is a huge plus for catching train into St Ives option.

We have already booked again for next year! Very many thanks again!

Seawhisper Castle is a lovely quirky place to stay. The views are amazing and the garden, which goes all the way round the property, was great for our little dog. You are situated up a very steep hill so walking anywhere is quite a task and parking in St Ives is limited & expensive. We found walking the narrow path to Carbis Bay station and going 1 stop was the best option. However there is no lighting on the pathway, so can’t be used at night. Other than that, we had to drive. Again, the walk to the beach is very steep and uneven, but once on it, it truly is breathtaking. Some of the furniture in the property needs replacing along with the bed linen and towels. There was a musky smell throughout our stay even though the property had been cleaned. The showers in the two bedrooms are extremely small, but the roll top bath in the bathroom was lovely.

Thank you for your helpful feedback. If you are ever returning to this property or this area again, you can also walk up the path that you drive down to get to the property, along Headland Road and then down to the train station. This will avoid the narrow path that you mention. Most of the coast path and access to beaches off the path will be undulating and quite uneven, but the views are spectacular and totally worth it; just remember to bring some appropriate footwear! We have just been to inspect the property and check on the furniture. It had all been well maintained, nothing faulty. Some items have a worn appearance, but they are designed to look like that. The owners aim to provide a unique property, with the style, design, and furniture in it being very unlike what you see anywhere else. This may not be to everyone's taste, but the owners spend a lot of time trying to ensure that it is all well maintained. They have informed us that the towels and linen will not be replaced at this stage, as they like to provide their guests with towels that dry well, rather than overly new, fluffy towels. They would of course replace any that are stained or no longer in good condition. We do hope that you had a great time here still and thanks again for the feedback. Tanya, Customer Services

Lovely quirky home, lots of space for larger families, several garden spaces and the views from house spectacular,a lovely holiday had by all helped by sunshine all week.

This was our fourth stay at Sea Whisper and it was absolutely perfect as always. Such a beautiful place, immaculately clean, stunning and well maintained gardens overlooking the sea, quirky summer house and new bespoke seating area in the garden which we absolutely loved! Already missing the sound of the waves. Can't wait to return. We shall be back! Thank you again. No place like it. Magical.

We really enjoyed our stay at Seawhisper Castle. We were two family’s staying together and we had everything we needed and more. The location was excellent and the views were amazing. We had a truly magical stay.

This was our second time at Seawhisper Castle and we enjoyed our time here just as much as the first time. The views were amazing and it was very peaceful to be able to relax in the lovely gardens. We would highly recommend Seawhisper Castle and will definitely be back for a third visit in the future.

We returned to Seawhisper for a third year and still find it enchanting. There is no better place to enjoy the coastal views and watch the sunrise from the deck or one of the many corners of the garden.

Where do I even begin, with my review of this unique and stunning property?? First of all, the pictures on the website certainly sell it well, but NOTHING compares to seeing this castle and it's breathtaking views in real life!! When we first pulled up, honestly, all of our Jaws just dropped to the floor!! There were 8 of us staying. 4 adults and 4 children. I think it was about 20 minutes before we even unlocked the main door to go in and have a look around! As we all spent so long outside, in the stunning subtropical gardens, and up on the terraces, just marveling over the breathtaking views!! There is so much to take in! Then, once you get inside, there are even more feasts for the eyes! The place is so quirky and interesting! Such an eclectic mix of beautiful artwork on the walls, a literal 'throne' at the end of the huge dining table!! Lovely seaside themed ornaments everywhere, a cherub hanging from a vintage chandelier, a drinks cabinet that looks like it came from a Costa Rican beach bar! And just a wealth of so many other fascinating treasures!! We all noticed something new each day, that we hadn't spotted before! There is also a washing machine, which came in SO handy. And a little charcoal bbq in the garden, which was such a bonus! As we invited some of my family round, who are locals, for a barbie. And even they were wandering around, taking hundreds of pictures of the place! Because they just couldn't get over the stunning surroundings and scenery!! It's certainly like nowhere else we've ever stayed before! And as if those views weren't enough on their own, you have not just one, but '2' of Cornwall's most stunning beaches, both within about a 10 minute walk from the property! With Porthkidney sands on your left, and Carbis Bay beach on your right. We took the coastal paths down to both, pretty much every day! Carbis Bay train station is just a 5 minute walk from Seawhisper aswell. Which takes you right into St Ives town, on what must be arguably one of the most picturesque train routes in the country!! Oh, and upon our arrival, we were greeted with the most generous welcome pack! And a lovely, handwritten letter from the owners, wishing us a wonderful holiday! Personal touches like that go such a long way. So many people just wouldn't bother with things like that. But when you arrive at Seawhisper, you truely get the impression that the owners of this fabulous property really 'love' Cornwall, and really want their guests to have the best holiday possible! And we most certainly did do! Definitely going to try and book this place up again for next year!! A truly magical castle, and a truly magical and memorable holiday! See you again soon, Seawhisper! Emilie xx

This place was truly special and amazing! There was a friendly welcoming note from the owners and an extremely generous welcome pack! We soooo loved the beautiful views and location! It was very well placed to take our dog onto the beach! We enjoyed morning cups of tea outside, watching the little birds in all the nesting boxes and using the in- house binoculars to see the little fishing boats leaving the estuary. There were so many sitting areas in the garden to choose from, with comfy cushions for the seats and character-full furniture! The house was so interesting and full of character! Great car parking. We liked the convenience of walking into St Ives (so many different paths to choose from!) and having the option of catching the train to/from Carbis Bay if needed. We used the handy pharmacy, grocery store and fish and chip shops very near by. Thanks for an amazing holiday experience!

Fantastic view over the bay, with lovely gardens. A spacious very well equipped house, which suited us well as two families of 4 and a dog. We were left with lots of lovely Easter treats and other goodies, presumably by the owners, which was very kind ?? The kids devoured the mini chocolate eggs - the adults didn’t stand a chance! ??

Amazing location with amazing views that you can just stare at forever, there isn't any better location you could be than in that part of the world. Lived in spaceous property with a space to sit outside wherever the sun is.

Second time at sea whisper . Lived up to its reputation and would highly recommend.

This was a wonderful property for our three generations to be together. Plenty of room inside, and spacious gardens to play or relax in. With two three year olds in the party, the summerhouse became my quiet reading spot and also somewhere for my husband to practice his ukelele ..... Well away from the house. The views are spectacular and the balcony was a popular gathering place. It was also a particularly good viewing place for the children to watch grandad crash his drone into the many trees. If anyone finds a black drone arm, could they please leave it in a prominent spot. We will definitely be back, at some point, to retrieve it. A superb holiday had by all.

This house was very interesting in decor though dated. The views were breathtaking and beautiful gardens to explore. The beach was too hard to reach for those who struggle with mobility even the teenagers struggled with it. The train to st Ives was worth taking. Every half hour. We would come back again as we enjoyed our stay. Aspect holidays were helpful and kept us well informed.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Those views really are amazing, aren't they? The décor is certainly very different to anything else that we market and will not be to everyone's taste, but is all as shown on the photos, so we hope that it was just as you expected. We were sorry to hear that you found the path down to the beach a bit of a struggle. Coast paths will be uneven, narrow, and steep in places, so will not be suitable for everyone wanting to access the beach, but this is the case for any section of coast path that you may try to access in the county. The team here know the area well, so if you would ever like information on alternative routes to the beach that may be more suitable, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. Tanya, Customer Services

Sea whispers castle was amazing everthing we expected and more the photos dont do it justice. The views from the garden down to the beach wonderful they even have binoculars to use. Tried to book again for next summer but already fully booked not surprised. Will definetly try for 2023.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Seawhisper and what a week it was! The house was exactly as described with beautiful outdoor seating areas, everything you could need inside the house and fantastic views. We discovered the paths down to the beaches on the first day, the dog friendly one on the right was fantastic as its HUGE with miles of space between groups of people, on some days it felt like our own private beach. Short walk to the train station as well which was perfect as well as 5 mins drive from the supermarket, a perfect location. We loved it that much we booked again for next year whilst sitting on the balcony over looking the sea. I love Cornwall and this house made our holiday even more special. We had a BBQ, played cards, talked for hours and had lots of fun sitting in that garden without having to go out every night. A truly magical place that has been so lovingly put together with something new to look at everyday, we can't wait to go back and share it with more friends.

Seawhisper Castle is a characterful property with amazing views across the bay. A short walk to the station and St Ives is easily reached. We recommend the fish and chip shop in Hayle, which does 'click and collect'. The drive out to Zennor is so scenic - go into the church and read about the legend of Matthew and the mermaid, visit the Moo Maid ice cream parlour and browse around the best gift shop in the area - Zennor Wayside.

This property location was set in a idyllic location with stunning views . The house is unique and has a very unique decor. It also comes with vast gardens with seating around the building designed to follow the sun all day . With a summer house positioned with great views. With the coastal path on your doorstep and easy reach of beaches and st Ives this property is well located. For your daily food requirements there is a short drive to to tesco 5 mins or 15 mins to halye . The property is very spacious and feels like a home from home . Spectacular views from 2 of the bedrooms waking up was delightful . We fell in love with this property and would definitely return to the area.

The property’s location is fantastic with magnificent views to be enjoyed from a choice of sitting areas inside and out. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks to Porth Kidney (even if Grandad could not manage it!) and loved having a dog friendly beach nearby. Seawhisper Castle’s decor is quirky, furniture (beds/sofas etc) comfortable and the kitchen exceptionally well equipped and has a great cooker. Plenty of everything one could possibly need including wonderful welcome treats on arrival! There is a real feeling of generosity of spirit from the hosts and it was lovely bonus to meet them during our stay. We look forward to returning.

Just had a fantastic holiday at sea whisper. The location is fabulous as are the gardens. The closeness of the station is an added bonus. Highly recommended.

Great house with stunning views. We will definitely return

Seawhisper was perfect for our stay. We were a party of 6 adults, two of them 18, so nearby St Ives by train was perfect for them, as was the close proximity to the beach. The views from the house are incredible and the location is fantastic. You can walk to St Ives in around half an hour, with Carbis Bay on route in around 10/15 mins for the train if preferred. Porthkidney beach was amazing and it was a joy to walk our dog for the 10 mins on the coastal path and through the dunes to the huge dog friendly beach. With the weather cooling in the evening the summer house was perfect for evening drinks, especially whilst barbecuing the mackerel we had caught in the morning!

Sea Whisper Castle is set in a truly stunning location. The gardens and seating areas allow you to have great views. We celebrated our sons 7th birthday there and he did feel like the King sat in the throne in his castle.

Absolutely gorgeous property and location! We had the most wonderful week here. Walking distance down to both Porthkidney Sands (though a bit of a rocky climb near the end) and also to Carbis Bay beach. The garden was lovely to retreat to after a day at the beach, with a Bbq and huge garden for kids to run around in. Definitely hope to be back!

Fabulous property set in stunning grounds with lovely views over the sea. Just a short walk to Carbis Bay Beach via a secluded path. The property contained everything we needed for our stay and was very clean. The garden was beautiful with numerous seating areas for relaxing and very well maintained. We all had an amazing time and will definitely be back.

An absolutely stunning house and garden in a superb location. Near enough to local facilities yet so tranquil and private. There is a quick route to the beach by turning left after crossing the railway line. But only accessible at low tide and over some rocks, where some of us were lucky enough to spot a seal.

Another brilliant holiday at Seawhisper Castle. The place was absolutely spotless and as lovely as ever. We had a great time in the gardens playing hide and seek and having BBqs. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. Views were spectacular and the sound of the sea is always there when you open the doors. So private with really beautiful tranquil gardens. It was stormy one night and it was amazing to watch it all from the living room windows! Loved the rocking chair ourtside! We spent time at Porth Kidney beach which our dog Minnie absolutely loved, we actually arrived at about 11am on the day of checking in and we headed straight to this beach as we had no where to go with the dog...and it was perfect. Amazing little cafe at the church on the walk to the beach with tables in the church yard. You can usually find parking by the church too. So by the time it was 3 o clock we'd already had a great day at the beach! Great to watch the tide coming in on there! We also spent time at Carbis Bay beach and Porthminster - Porthminster was great for boogy boarding in the waves! Had a great day out at St Michael's Mount which was about 20 minutes away. St Ives - we just got the train and was lovely as ever. So looking forward to returning next year. Its lovely to have a busy day at the beach with all the crowds then retreat back to Seawhisper for a rest in the lovely garden and take in the views. There is no better place to stay than this!

Another week at Sea Whisper Castle. Fabulous house in a fabulous location. Our family absolutely love staying here. More than highly recommended.

Great size and clean! Fantastic views. Lovely garden and secure for dogs. Porth Kidney (the nearest beach and dog friendly) is only accessible at low tide and then only for the agile. Carbis beach is a ten minutes walk and very accessible but dogs aren’t allowed. The branch line to St Ives runs between the property and the sea with trains passing every fifteen minutes and sounding their horn for the level pedestrian crossing although we didn’t find this annoying. Carbis Bay station is only a short walk and only £1 to St Ives which is far better than trying to park!

Property and location were exactly as described and once the heating was adjusted, provided a warm and comfortable base for our Christmas week.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy views - especially sunrise/moonrise subject to weather and time of year.

Sea Whisper Castle has a heavenly garden, the house is full of interesting things - we kept noticing more every day - and it has beautiful views. A place of great character and charm.

We had a fantastic, dreamy time at sea whisper castle. The place was plenty big enough for all 6 of us and we definitely didn't feel on top of one another. We actually spent quite a lot of time looking for each other in there! It was very homely and comfortable and the views were really breath taking. We used all the seating in the gardens at all different times of the day. Great location we walked to Carbis bay beach, train station and Porth Kidney beach from the house and it was great that Porth Kidney beach allowed dogs! St Ives at night in summer was just lovely. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday.

Lovely views from property. Nice big living room/dining room. Great kitchen. Amazing garden.

The cottage was out of this world. A fantastic location with amazing views. The interior was awesome and our overall stay was fantastic! We would definitely recommend this property for families and those looking for a pet friendly cottage. We absolutely loved it!

Lovely property in brilliant location - can’t wait to come back again next year !

Fabulous location with lots of room for a large family or group. Great access to walks and beaches.

Extremely well furnished house with lovely gardens and superb views

The cottage was suitable for a large family with a lovely garden - room for a football pitch. The cottage had stunning views and was envied by all who passed by. It was

Wonderful house , position and views. Very relaxing and peaceful but so close to amenities if needed. The proximity to the rail service to St Ives fantastic. We look forward to returning soon.

Just for it to be made clear that the property is all on one floor and that the lower part of the house is in fact being made into a one bedroom separate accommodation. The pictures all give you to understand you are renting it all. The lower property was a double garage (it appears) under the house!

Thank you for your comments. You are quite right in pointing out that Seawhisper Castle is on the one floor. We are very sorry if that was not clear. The groundfloor apartment is undergoing refurbishment, but only outside of booking periods, with extensive soundproofing being added. We have now added a note on the description to highlight that the bottom half of Seawhisper Castle is a separate annexe, but currently there are no plans of this being in use during guest bookings. Any guest staying at Seawhisper Castle has full access to the grounds with no other guests occupying the ground floor property. Tanya, Customer Services.
