The apartment is beautiful with outstanding views. Private parking was a big bonus and it was very near to the train station which is really useful for travelling into St Ives. Although close to the station, we weren’t disturbed by the trains going back and forth. The only fault we could find with the apartment was the beds which were very hard so therefore we didn’t sleep well. If the mattresses were changed, we’d return eagerly.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are so pleased you enjoyed those one-of-a-kind views that Lodge 1a has to offer and found the allocated parking space to be helpful during your stay. Being just a few moments from the train station is certainly an advantage, too, and we are pleased you agree that seeing trains coming and going adds to the atmosphere. We're sorry to hear that you found the beds to be uncomfortable. It is difficult to find a mattress that suits all preferences, but we will keep an eye on feedback moving forward. Katy, Customer Services.

An excellent property with an excellent location. Easy to visit St Ives either by train or coast path.

We have visited Lodge 1a, Carrack Gladden twice this year and have enjoyed fantastic breaks on each occasion. The apartment is perfectly positioned to travel into St Ives on the train, while local attractions such as the Gannet Inn and Carbis Bay Hotel spa, Beach Club and restaurants are also very handy. The apartment is spacious and has almost all the facilities anyone could require. A bath would be nice but you can't have everything! The stunning view makes up for that and a parking space is very welcome. We would highly recommend the apartment. Paul and Tracy Jones

The apartment is lovely and has fabulous views over the bay. Although right in front of the train station, we had no disturbance. We have already booked again.

Fantastic view, cosy accommodation, very comfortable, railway has its advantages being close

Fabulous apartment, with stunning views. The bedrooms are very nice & comfy beds. The living & dining area is open, light & airy. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Two parking spaces available. Nice touch with the welcome hamper, which included tea, coffee, milk, scones, jam & cream. Apartment was very clean. Only downside was shower tray fills up very quick & can overflow completely.

Thank you very much for your feedback. It was lovely to see what an amazing stay you had at Lodge 1A and that you enjoyed the welcome items left for you by the owners. Thank you for letting us know about the shower trap, after your stay we got the housekeepers to clear these out and they've since been keeping a close eye on this during the changeovers. Looking forward to welcoming you back here again in the future! Ben, Customer Services.

Had an Amazing week at lodge 1a carrack gladden , which was well presented and well-equipped with all your home comforts , large parking bay to let your car have a holiday too very really used on how stay.perfect position to capture the stunning views of Carbis bay & St Ives, easy access to get into St ives with the train station just behind the property or a lovely scenic walk along the costal path .only 5 min to the Amazing Carbis bay beach ??.only negative 1 week wasn't enough ?? wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.

We have just had another enjoyable stay at Lodge 1A, Carrack Gladden. It is in a beautiful location and the apartment itself is very comfortable, with everything you need. The welcome pack provided was a nice gesture.

Unfortunately, we left a couple of items behind on our departure, and were contacted by Aspects, who kindly said they would post them to us. I offered to pay for the postage but Aspects said they would cover the cost, which I feel they did not have to do - they went above and beyond…

We have reserved the apartment again for next year!

Thank you, Aspects, for your efficiency.

Mrs Helena Clark

We’ve stayed here many times since the property was first built. In recent years, under the current owners, the improvements made have been much appreciated. Cannot fault it in any way. Well equipped, handy for either the train, or a walk, into St Ives.

Lodge 1a Carrack Gladden is a beautifully positioned property with a clear view out to sea - helped by the provision of a telescope in the living room! The living room itself is light, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped if you want to cook - however there are so many options for eating out in the area that you may not bother. It is the perfect property from which to explore West Cornwall - and there is plenty to do and see. We would highly recommend the Lodge.

Fabulous return to Cornwall enhanced by our property and the service provided by Aspects. Our stay at 1a Carrack Gladden was once again a huge hit and we have rebooked already for next year!

The apartment was in a fabulous location overlooking Carbis Bay beach; the views were gorgeous. We made good use of the train, which was a few minutes’ walk away, to go into St Ives - the journey took just 3 minutes. Overall a great apartment, very comfortable and well-equipped.

Excellent apartment and location. Last minute booking and we couldn’t have wished for a more homely apartment.

We stayed for a week in August and totally recommend this lodge. The views are amazing, the decor is modern and clean. We looked to book again and it's already booked up for our chosen weeks. Parking is perfect, right outside the steps to the lodge. As a company, we had no problems either. Everything was handled smoothly by Aspects, all information sent smoothly. A+++++

1a carrack gladden is a lovely spacious apartment with everything that is needed for a fantastic holiday, the open plan living room and kitchen was much bigger than anticipated. The views from the apartment are absolutely captivating, so many different and atmospheric views can be seen from here, the location was exellent, a few minutes to the beutiful beach and minutes from the train station which is a great service for travelling near and far, will definitely return to this apartment and can definitely recommend.Aspects were 100% as usual and highly recommended....Thanks.

An amazing holiday perfect location. The apartment was beautiful and homely with absolutely everything we needed and more. Will definitely be back xx

Always an easy and pleasant experience with Aspects book many holiday through them as we visit Cornwall 3-4 times a year

Excellent location opposite the coastal path, and beach ..everything as wanted....just hope you drop on the weather.

We had another very enjoyable stay at Lodge 1a Carrack Gladden, we have been many times before.

The apartment has fantastic views and it only takes a few minutes to walk to the station. It takes just three minutes to get to St Ives, where you are spoilt for choice for places to eat.

Lodge 1a is very comfortable and you have everything you need for your stay. We have already booked for next year!

Great views over Carbis Bay. Just a few minutes walk to train station. Lovely appartment and decor. Aspects Holiday was pleasure to deal with. Definitely I will use Aspects Holidays and return to Lodge 1a Carrack Gladden again.

A lovely little property with great views and facilities. An easy walk to St Ives or a short train journey, £1 each way. Perfect for a young family.

We have stayed in this apartment many times, whilst previously owned and since new owners have had it. Several improvements have been made under the new owners. It has a good position with sea views and adjacent parking, is well equipped and has wi-fi and Sky TV. We have already booked to stay here again.

Well equipped apartment with sea views and private parking, and very convenient for the railway station. Sky TV and Wifi provided and much appreciated. We have stayed in this apartment many times since it was first built, whilst previously owned and since new owners have had it. Several improvements have been made under the new owners. All in all, a very comfortable place to stay when visiting the area.

The flat is warm, welcoming and has a truly exceptional view over St Ives bay. Access to the flat is via a steep staircase which can feel slippery when wet.

Very convenient location ,train service to st Ives ,excellent, the views are fantastic, would recommend the apartment to anyone

Lovely accommodation, very clean and close to rail links. Beautiful views.

It wouldn't be complimentary so probably best I don't. Would you upload it anyway?

The property is set in the perfect location over looking Carbis Bay, each morning was a treat to look out on to the beautiful beach and also great to people watch heading to and from the beach!

The amenities in the property were good and has everything you need so certainly felt like being home from home.

The cleanliness of the property was not the best however acceptable but the mould on the ceilings of the main bedroom and bathrooms do need to be addressed.

Overall it was a pleasant stay, the location of the property is most certainly the reason we would return in future!

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your week here though sorry to hear that a few areas were not to the high standard that you would expect. The owners have asked us to let you know that they want to pass on their apologies for any mould that was on the bathroom and bedroom wall. They are aware that, in common with most properties situated in very close proximity to the sea, this is a common problem, and indeed, is something highlighted as a risk in the welcome packs at all properties. Unfortunately, as many guests are out for most of the day, they are unable to follow the included advice to leave windows open to promote ventilation. They make every effort to eradicate mould before the season begins and attend to it whenever there are gaps in occupancy, however, this has not been possible this year with the back-to-back bookings. We have spoken to the owners about this since and are looking into more long-term solutions that may help to manage this better, as well as discussing with the housekeeper, what can be done in the short term so that other guests do not arrive to this. It certainly still sounds like you had a fantastic stay here and we hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Aspects Holidays

Second time we stayed again fantastic accommodation close to brilliant beach and short walk to St Ives! Unexpectedly didn’t have a car this time so was glad we had easy access to shops beach etc

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location, ideally located for St Ives and Carbis Bay.

The overall quality of the apartment and equipment enabled us to have a lovely and relaxing holiday.

We would return without any hesitation.

Fantastic apartment, everything you need even though it is small it's perfect for a family of four and the beds are super comfy. Views are outstanding and you can walk across the road to join the cliff path and walk to Porth Kidney beach, Carbis bay and St Ives. Roll down the hill early morning for a sunrise over the bay, we would come back for sure.

We have stayed in this apartment many times, whilst previously owned and since new owners have had it. Several improvements have been made under the new owners. It has a good position with sea views and adjacent parking, is well equipped and has wi-fi and Sky TV. We hope to stay here again.

We are repeat visitors to the property, so that says it all. This is a comfy, clean and well positioned flat which, apart from the steep hills, is ideally placed for the local train to and from St Ives and the coastal path

This apartment is in a fantastic location overlooking Carbis Bay to St ives, and Is two minutes from the train station and beach.

Albeit the apartment was satisfactory for the cost, it could do with some refurbishing in some area’s and more/better kitchen equipment, this would able you to do more cooking in instead of going out especially in the strange times were living in at present.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your helpful feedback. The team have since been in touch for some further information on your comments and the owners wanted you to know that they appreciate your feedback and agree that due to its close proximity, the sea does take its toll on the outside of the property by the end of the season, and so a complete exterior repaint and redecoration is booked for the end of November. They have found that their guests vary considerably in their use of the kitchen facilities and the limited space means that they have to compromise a little on what can be provided, so whilst they may fall short of providing all that is needed for the more ambitious cooks, they do include a full compliment of basic items, including saucepans, frying pans and baking trays, in addition to the usual microwave and toaster. We hope that you had a great time here, enjoying those fantastic views and hopefully we will see you again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

Lovely accommodation in perfect location! Loved having the beach 1 minute away and being able to walk into St Ives. View was amazing wish we could have stayed longer

Apartment in perfect location with beautiful sea views. It was clean, comfortable and modern with up to date appliances and equipment. Lovely walk along the coastal path to St Ives.

A well equipped comfortable flat with a fantastic view.

We have stayed here many times since the building was first constructed, and before the present owners purchased it. The improvements made recently are noticeable and appreciated. The new mattress is very comfortable. Wi-fi and Sky television were easy to use and very useful. Already looking forward to our next stay in a few months.

Well equipped apartment, with lovely views and just in front of the train station.

Excellent large, spacious and comfortable apartment. Perfect location and fabulous views.

Ideal family holiday apartment ,( steps up to the apartment may cause problems for people with walking difficulties ) views fantastic, perfect location for the beach, beach restaurant ,easy access to the coastal path short walk into St. Ives, Very convenient for the railway station and rail links.

This is the 4th time of staying here .and we will be back.

Good location, but the property and the bathroom, needs a super deep clean.

We are very sorry if the standard of cleanliness was not to the high level that you would have expected, we can only apologise if any areas had been missed. Having now received this feedback, we have discussed it with the housekeeper, carried out a check on the standards and we will be closely monitor any further feedback, so thank you for your comments. A nice, well equipped, we furnished apartment with lovely sea views and easy access to public transport and beaches.

Great location with lovely views. Very handy for railway to St Ives. Well equipped and comfortable.

Excellent stay with a great location. Everything we could of needed was included in the property. Perfect for evening or morning walks down to the beach or a train ride into St Ives. Could easily stop here and not touch the car for a week.

Great location cosy apartment within very short walking distance of carbis bay beach. Clean and well furnished.

It was beautiful location and felt homely yet clean modern furnishings and nicely decorated.

Reception team always very pleasant and helpful when making a reservation, it makes life so easy. always well presented, clean, fresh and comfortable, we have stayed at this property for a number of years (often twice a year) its great to come back ,home from home. we will be back in October .The lodge 1A. located in Carbis Bay is so convenient , beach, bar and restaurant, station, access to coastal path, short walk into St. Ives no parking problems ( bliss } . Sorry, forgot to mention the views, fabulous, morning, noon and night even on a wet miserable day, wonderful.

This property has envious views of Carbis bay ,a short walk to the glorious beach. This property is a very comfortable home from home apartment with the convenience of under a 3 minute train commute to st Ives. Great value for the first time or seasoned Cornwall visitor.

We like this apartment because it is in an excellent location. It is open plan and nice and bright with spectacular seaviews.

We appreciated the lovely fresh flowers left for us in the apartment - I love white roses! Also, the box of Cornish chocolate chip cookies went down well with a nice cup of tea.

We have just returned from a beautiful, chilled week's holiday in Carbis Bay over the Easter Holidays. The Lodge was everything we wanted; great views of the bay of St Ives, a short walk from the beautiful beach and coastal paths (literally across the road) and quiet - even with the train station virtually next door! Having the train station so close was so handy too, the fares are really good into St Ives, especially with a Family and Friends Railcard! The trains are quiet so you are not disturbed by them in any way.

The accommodation is clean and modern and we felt very at home there. We would have actually liked to have stayed there!!! All good things have to come to an end but I'm sure we will return to the accommodation in the future.

We love St Ives and, like a lot of other people we know, it draws you back year after year.

The weather couldn't have been any better for April, just beautiful.

An excellent property in a superb location. The beautiful Carbis Bay beach is just a one minute stroll away, and the views from the sitting room across the bay are breath-taking. I've fallen in love with Cornwall after this holiday.

Lodge 1a Carrack Gladden is a little gem. It is in an excellent location with superb views across the bay and only a few minutes walk to the station. It has a bright, spacious, open plan area and is very comfortable.

Excellent location with views over Carbis Bay. Covenient for walks to Porth Kindney Sands, Lelant and St Ives. Flat is modern with all facilities and comfortable. We will visit again.

Fantastic location with great view over Carbis bay. Only a short walk to the beach and great to have Carbis railway station right next door.

Lovely spacious apartment, lovely views and good parking

A beautiful apartment with breathtakingly amazing views. Aspects were a pleasure to deal with and we will most definitely utilise their services in the future. Thank you very much
