It was a brilliant find! The property was beautiful, perfect very quiet location, John the Host was simply lovely, the view was to die for, so close to Carbis Bay station so we could get the train into St Ives and not have to worry about parking in St Ives, we just loved it and would love to stay here again.

Great holiday company, very good communication and customer service thank you.

On arrival the door was unlocked heating was on and the hole place was lovely and warm. John popped his head in to welcome us and introduce himself,we were told to make ourselves at home. John had put milk in the fridge he also provided tea, coffee, sugar and a lovely bottle of red wine, all this was greatly appreciated after a long journey . The hole place was immaculate with everything you could want . The window at the end of the lounge was inspirational because the view is amazing across the bay. We found Little Wheal Speed a central location to travel around from. Our little dog Alfie loved the stairs we live in bungalow so he’s not used to them .Any one who is looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday then this will certainly fit criteria

Loved our stay at Little Wheal Speed. John was lovely. The place was perfect, a short walk down to Carbis Bay beach and a 30 min walk downhill into St Ives. Perfect. Felt like the countryside whilst being near to shops (Tesco 5 mins walk), cafes and restaurants, or a £8 taxi into St Ives in the evening. Would stay again!

Our fourth time staying in this comfortable house. A quiet location but easy access to footpaths up to the Monument or down to Carbis Bay and to St Ives. Good bus service. Beautiful beaches. Owner always gives lovely freshly caught fish and on hand if needed. Comfortable bed - good WiFi - everything you need is there. Highly recommend- we have booked for next year!.

Ideal location in Carbis Bay with a large parking space in front of the property. Lovely to sit upstairs and enjoy the view our outside relaxing with a few drinks. We walk with our dog into St Ives which is a couple of miles away. We also enjoy a walk in the opposite direction to Porth Kidney beach which is a large dog friendly beach.

Little wheal Speed is perfect in every way. Perfect location, beautiful idyllic holiday stay peaceful, tranquil surroundings. Everything you would need catered for . John the owner is there if you need him but won’t invade privacy. Leaving lovely welcome gifts , flowers , wine and freshly caught mackerel. We will return yearly, we love it so much , thank you John and aspects holidays

Just returned from Little Wheal Speed, what a lovely stay. Really didn’t want to return home, it felt like our new home. The road/track to the property is a slight incline (5mins to main road going down), but the trade off for that is beautiful surroundings, complete peace and quiet and a view to die for. There’s also a bus stop as soon as you hit the main road if you don’t fancy the walk into St Ives. Also, extremely friendly owner who lives next door, thanks so much John, and thank you for the fresh flowers and wine. Definitely will be returning.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!!! If you want peace and tranquility and a home from home this is the place for you. The house is really comfortable and well equipped and John is an excellent host, especially when he appears at the door with fresh mackerel. Our dog Charlie loved being able to wander on the front lawn, but you do have be aware that the road at the end of the drive is used. We will definitely be back.

Very comfortable property, well equipped with virtually everything you need. Excellent view from upstairs The owner is very approachable and helpful Fairly easy to walk to St Ives via the coastal path or regular bus service a few minutes walk from the property

The view is good day and night.

Some people might find the stairs challenging, both steep and deep rises.

At the front, no screening or protection (if you had a dog there), from the frequent, on foot and by car, passers by.

Note no dishwasher, if you have a favourite brand for hand washing take it with you, or there is a Tesco very close by.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback following your stay at Little Wheal Speed. We do try and advertise all of the property features, such as the stairs, clearly on the website, but if anyone has any questions regarding mobility we recommend getting in touch before booking and we'll be more than happy to help. If a property is advertised as dog-friendly, it does not necessarily mean the garden will be enclosed, but we try to specify whether it is enclosed in the description whenever possible. Your comments have automatically been passed along to the owners so that they can take your feedback into consideration, too. We look forward to welcoming you back to Cornwall for your next break later on this year. Katy, Customer Services.

Lovely property, fantastic views. Owner John very friendly and not intrusive and gave us fresh mackerel that he had caught. Property has everything you need .

Another brilliant week spent in this brilliant holiday home. Set apart from the hustle and bustle but near enough to walk down to the sea or up to the Monument behind. Easy access to St Ives by the coastal footpath or go by train. Easy access to Lelant huge sandy beach by the coastal footpath. The house is very well equipped and has amazing views over to Carbis Bay and Hayle. Great to sit and relax upstairs or out in the garden.

John is an excellent host. He supplied tea, coffee, sugar, milk, foil, cling film, kitchen roll, wine and flowers, he even gave me extra clothes pegs. He gave us fresh mackerel which was delicious. Lovely views of Carbis Bay and very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Thank you John

An absolutely stunning view to be had from the upstairs lounge, cannot describe it enough, just gorgeous. Very peaceful setting, if you take your dog there is a walk over nature reserve to the rear of the house. We'll definitely be returning at some point. John, the owner, very helpful, he gave us some perfectly filleted mackerel that he'd caught that morning, they were delicious.

Little Wheal Speed was a beautiful cottage, owner John was a lovely host, he left us welcome goodies and also basic essentials, cottage is in a lovely location with all amenities, peace and quiet was bliss, and views from the upstairs windows are amazing, even when it has dropped dark, sorry to have to leave for home.

We have just returned from a week at Little Wheal Speed. From beginning to the end it was a lovely experience. John the owner was spot on with the little touches. Tea coffee sugar. Even a lovely bunch of flowers and tomatoes from his Greenhouse. The fresh mackerel were gorgeous.

Lovely and clean .

Nicci and Carl

This was a return visit to Little Wheal Speed and we found this stay as great as the first. The property is in a peaceful location with easy access to explore. John the property owner is exceptional and nothing is to much trouble, he even provided us with freshly caught mackerel and some of his delicious home grown vegetables. The property is well equipped and beautifully presented including vases of fresh flowers. Thankyou for your hospitality John, we look forward to our next visit.

Excellent property. Great location with wonderful views.

Lovely property set in an ideal location with the owner living next door too. Easy walk in to St Ives and also close to Lelant's Porth Kidney beach, which is a lovely beach for our dog to run along. Great start to every day sitting upstairs and enjoying the view whilst eating our breakfast.

7th time staying in Carbis Bay, Little Wheal Speed was the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in. View across the Bay from the first floor sitting room was spectacular and lovely to have such a nice garden to relax in. Well equipped and very comfortable seating and bed. The owner, John, was very welcoming. All in all a perfect holiday. Have already booked again for next year.

Very quirky and unique property in a lovely quiet location. About 30 minutes downhill walk to coastal path and beach. Lots of room for two people and ample parking. Lovely view even better than in the pictures. Owner very friendly.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Little Wheal Speed and would love to return sometime. This an upside down house and the view from the lounge is amazing. John, the owner is a great host. He is attentive without being intrusive. We loved our welcome gifts of wine and fresh flowers and he also brought us fresh mackerel. This is a real home from home.

I thank John the owner for making us feel so welcome at his property. Also for spoiling us with the fresh fish he caught - beautiful.

An absolute gem of a place to stay at with fantastic views out over Carabis Bay. A quiet, peaceful location only a couple of miles from the busy St Ives town centre and beaches.

Best of both worlds lovely country walks in scenic lanes covered in wild flowers or the beautiful beaches.

Will definitely be coming back again.

Wonderful comfortable property with amazing view of the beaches of Hayle & lovely garden. Very peaceful and quiet area & so relaxing. Great location with Carbis Bay beach within easy walking distance & St Ives is also walkable. Owner, John, was a lovely man, very friendly and welcoming & was there to meet us on arrival.

Found this lovely quirky property, clean, cosy and quiet. Good location for visiting St. Ives and surrounding areas. Lovely owner, very helpful and the fresh mackerel flowers and wine were much appreciated.

As always Aspect holidays were so easy to deal with, super friendly, thoughtful and courteous. Their properties are amazing, their bookings are so straight forward and uncomplicated. Never a problem if you call them with a question, you are always greated by friendly staff who are only to willing to help. It's this personal, human approach that keeps us coming back to them year after year and of course the amazing properties that they offer.

Fabulous week at Little Wheal Speed. A real home from home. It’s in a quiet location and has plenty of parking. Beautifully designed, super comfortable bed, duvet and pillows. Lovely large bath towels. Well appointed kitchen with absolutely everything you could possibly need for a self catering break. John the owner was super helpful. I asked for an extension lead for my hairdryer so I could be nearer to the mirror and he brought it straight over. He even brought us fresh mackerel that he’d caught. The personal touches of fresh flowers, milk and wine were lovely. He even provided kitchen roll, foil, cling film, bin bags, washing up liquid, tea, sugar and coffee. All in all a perfect week away. We walked into St Ives a few times (30 mins along the coast path). Would definitely return.

We had a wonderful holiday at Little Wheal Speed. The booking process, customer service and the overall quality, comfort and value for money of the property were exceptional.

Our 2nd visit to Little Wheal and it didn't disappoint. Lovely well maintained property with breathtaking sea view surrounded by gardens. 25mins coastal walk in to St Ives. Easy car parking right outside property. Large Tesco nearby is great for food shopping. Lovely welcome pack from John the owner including Wine, Fresh flowers and milk in the Fridge. We'll definitely return

Little Wheal Speed is an excellent holiday let. The views of Caribs Bay are simply stunning and the large upstairs window makes the most of the view- do not forget your binoculars. The property and gardens are well equipped, well maintained and comfortable- the most relaxing holiday we have enjoyed fit a long time.

The owner is friendly, generous and available but unobtrusive.

I will definitely be a returner.

This property is a gem of a find , Beautiful surroundings , tranquil and relaxing. Greeted by the wonderful host , john . The house is cosy , beautiful and clean , home from home lovely gesture of flowers , wine , milk tea and coffee to greet us , We will be returning for definite.

A lovely home from home cottage. Little Wheal Speed had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing, comfortable stay. John greeted us upon our arrival. Thank you for the flowers, milk and wine, which was a lovely touch. The bed was extremely comfortable and the views from upstairs were lovely. We walked down into St. Ives a few times on the coastal path, alongside the railway line, which is a lovely walk, although the walk back is quite a climb! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Little Wheal Speed and we hope we are able to return in the future.

Great week at Little Wheel Speed in lovely clean accommodation.Wine, milk flowers to greet us and mackerel on the Sunday for dinner, lovely. Nice to sit out in the sun admiring the view in the beautiful gardens. Plenty of good walks around and nice places to visit such as Zennor, though St Ives was very busy and we didn’t eat out because of this but found everything supplied for cooking. Nice to meet John’s family when they visited, they were very friendly. Will definitely go back, thank you John, keep fishing.

Great property, great host and a fantastic view.

Our second stay at this beautiful property and I'm sure it gets better every year. We loved the peaceful location, sitting in the garden to enjoy an evening drink, taking in the view. We love the panoramic sea view offered by the huge gable windows. We love the upside down nature of the house. There's just so much to love about the place. One of the factors that led us to choose this cottage in the first place was the on-site parking - just so convenient for unloading and loading the car, unlike so many properties in St Ives itself.

Little wheal speed is a fantastic property and location set in beautiful tranquil gardens. The sea view window and seated area is amazing. More spacious inside than we imagined. Would definitely stay again. A bit of paradise.

Excellent accommodation, beautiful views with friendly owners living next door. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

We had a lovely stay at Little Wheal Speed. It is the perfect location for a quiet break out of town but with easy access to several beautiful beaches and things to do. We had fabulous morning dog walks in Lelant and Hayle and also enjoyed evening walks in St Ives. The property was clean, tidy and comfortable and everything we needed for the week was at hand. Our host provided some welcome treats which was much appreciated and also fresh fish caught by him mid week...what a treat! The swivel chairs in the picture window were a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the view. All in all a great property and a lovely holiday.

The property was even better in reality than the photos, we were already excited to see it from the photos. It was nice and clean, lovely and warm with the heating working nicely and felt very homely. John was really friendly and welcoming, he even dropped round fresh mackerel for us and the dog, it was delicious, how lovely. There was also milk, teabags, coffee, kitchen roll and washing up liquid, a nice touch. The property location was perfect, the view from the living room was amazing and getting down to Carbis Bay and St Ives was a lovely easy walk. We will be back. It really did feel like home. Thank you, a definite recommendation from us, you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful location, fabulous accommodation.

Brilliant location, great views of the sea and sand, walks from doorstep. Lovely host - checked up to make sure we were comfortable Easy reach of beaches and South West Coast Path House spotlessly clean. Already booked for 2021

Wonderful little cottage. Perfect location not too far off the beaten track. Fantastic hosts the fresh fish is just a delight. Great place for touring from as well. Everything was spotless & nice touches like wine & fresh flowers on arrival. Perfect relaxing place highly recommend!

Little Wheal Speed is an absolute gem with a stunning view of St Ives Bay. A great location with easy access to the coastal path and only 30 mins walk from St Ives centre. The fact that there is a Tesco superstore nearby was a bonus. The accomodation is spacious and modern and the peace and tranquility of the place was something to savour, being surrounded by countryside and wildlife. We'll definitely return.

Good location with a 30 minute walk into St Ives. Perfect start to everyday is eating your breakfast and enjoying the great views from the upstairs window. We walked a dog to LeLant and enjoyed a walk along the Porth Kidney beach. Perfect beach for dogs which is about a mile long. You can then follow the coastal path into St Ives or follow the main paths into Carbis Bay and along into St Ives.

Loved everything about the house beautiful garden and spotless house ! John was great and even gave us fresh mackerel and tomatoes ! He gave us a bottle of jam shed wine which was amazing apart from I had to buy another 8 bottles it was so good ! Was a great experience ! Thank you all

We were looking for a place to stay within easy reach of St Ives, but not actually in the town itself. Our plan was to leave the car parked on the drive and get plenty of exercise by walking into St Ives a few times, walking down to Carbis Bay beach a few times, and spending some much needed rest at home with a good book and a gorgeous view. We provided the books, Little Wheal Speed provided the view!

Plans for later in the week had to be adapted a bit - we were on holiday the week that the Coronavirus restrictions started to come into play - so we'll have to come back to visit The Tate as it was forced to close. But we know a perfect place to stay when we do! And we will be back.

Lovely cottage. Everything u need. Fabulous views and interesting walks on you doorstep. Close to wonderful sandy beaches. Bonus having a superstore less than a kilometre away.

A wonderful position at the top of an unmade road with easy access to walks from the door up to the top of the hill and down to Carbis Bay. A well thought out layout to the house which maximises the stunning views down to the sea. Everything you might need is provided together with milk, coffee, tea, flowers and a bottle of wine! Also a generous gift of fresh mackerel for supper. Our dog loved it too - easy access to the garden and great sandy beaches. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have booked to go again this year! A real gem of a cottage for two people.

We have just spent a week at Little Wheal Speed, the accommodation was excellent just as shown with everything we needed. The views across to Carbis Bay are lovely even when it rains! There are plenty of local walks, some beautiful scenery and if you enjoy art then you won’t be disappointed with St Ives.

A lovely comfortable, well equipped and maintained property with fantastic views over St. Ives Bay and beyond. Within a 30 minute walk of beautiful St. Ives. Large supermarket in Carbis Bay and good transport links with a bus stop at the bottom of the road and train station in Carbis Bay.

The property and service from Aspects was superb and help to make our holiday very enjoyable. Looking forward now to our next visit.

Had a great two weeks at Little Wheal Speed. The property is in a tranquil location backed by a mature garden and offers amazing sea views. The property offers everything you could need for your stay and is within walking distance of local facilities. The owner John is a true gentleman making us feel extremely welcome and kindly providing us with freshly caught mackerel and freshly grown tomatoes.

Little Wheal Speed is beautiful. A little off the beaten track which means it is really peaceful when you are there but the location does not impact on enjoying the surrounding area. John the owner is lovely and is on hand should you need anything. Nothing seems too much trouble for him. I would highly recommend this property.

We had an amazing family adventure in Cornwall. We visited all the 'main' landmarks which we thoroughly enjoyed. We watched Sister Act at the Minack theatre which we all thoroughly enjoyed - the performance was a matinee showing and the views were stunning. With having a little girl most nights were spent in the garden playing games and myself and my partner drinking vino.... it was very relaxing. St Ives is a lovely walk and talks about half an hour - we tended to get a taxi back as St Ives is very hilly. We were sad to leave our little cottage.

Great place to stay to relax but also great if you like walking and exploring the whole area. Ample parking & lovely outside area too. And well the views are fabulous!! Owner lives next door & so helpful, friendly, great welcome - my 9 days were just heaven!!!

A beautiful place to sit relax and admire those fabulous views.

Cleanest and best equipped cottage we ever rented. Very charming and helpfull owner!

You can never be sure that you've booked the right one even when the booking all goes smoothly.. When we pulled up in front of Little Wheal Speed and that website picture became a reality we knew we were off to a good start ... we hadn't even realised at this point what was behind us.. so when we did turn around and saw the most glorious view our smiles became just that little bit wider. What a beautiful hide away from the real world. We had essentials left for our arrival.. with flowers and wine on top. We enjoyed the most relaxing time and made to feel very welcome. Our host John's early morning fishing trips gave us fresh mackerel which were just delicious.. so all in all our stay gave us that 'feel good' factor.. we certainly gave a heavy sigh when it was time to leave.

This cottage has the most wonderful views of the sea. It is so peaceful here and a wonderful welcome awaits from the owner. We spent a very happy week here with our dog and walked the coastal paths to our hearts content. When we weren't walking we sat in the luxurious seats and looked out at the fabulous view.

Met John the owner on arrival made us feel very welcome immediately Nothing was too much trouble Turned up on Sunday evening with some Mackerel fillers all cleaned and ready to cook

Spectacular views, was difficult to tear ourselves away from them! Great location and a nice walk into St Ives. Beautiful gardens surrounding the property and friendly owner next door.

Wonderful cottage very stylish and comfort set in beautiful location.our dog loved it and the local walks from door.

A lovely little home from home, with great views and good location for visiting south Cornwall.

If you want peace and quiet and to be surrounded by fantastic garden, then this is the place for you. Superb hosts in John and Mo. Just superb.#

Just beef it up, this place is fantastic.
