Large spacious property with sea view in a good location and five minute walk to the train station for St Ives.

Our second visit to Lauriston did not disappoint. Plenty of room for our party of 8. Well equipped and comfortable. Easy parking for 2 cars. Lovely views from the balcony, and a great workout for those walking up from the beach! We hope to return.

House was immaculate, location perfect for carbis bay beach and small train station into St ives , a steep climb on way back , though even the grandparents managed that .A great holiday would definitely recommend to anyone especially larger groups or 2 families

A beautiful house in a wonderful location. It was ideal for my big birthday celebration to enjoy time with my whole family. Overall the property was clean and well equipped and we enjoyed our time here.

Unfortunately there were loud roadworks in the street and scaffolding put up on the property during our stay, including a loss of electricity for most of a day and it would have been nice to be forewarned.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are pleased you had a lovely time at Lauriston. As you have said, it is a great place to celebrate big family occasions! It is a shame to hear that you were disrupted by some nearby roadworks and scaffolding, and we can appreciate how disappointing this must be when you come away to relax. Be assured that whenever we are aware of works nearby, we always do our best to notify guests in advance as much as possible but please don't hesitate to get in touch with us during your stay if you experience anything from nearby work that you were not expecting, and we'll be more than happy to help and investigate further. Katy, Customer Services.

Lauriston is a very spacious, comfortable, beautiful house in a great location. Easy to get to train station to go into St Ives and the fantastic Carbis Bay beach. A perfect place to holiday.

Lauriston is a lovely large house, perfect for 8 of us covering 3 generations. Well equipped and comfortable. Quiet residential road which leads down to beautiful Carbis Bay, although the walk back up the hill is very steep! Easy parking for two cars. Loved it so much we are going back next year.

We enjoyed our stay in Carbis Bay and exploring the local area. The local beaches were lovely as was the little train ride to st Ives. But we were disappointed with the property. It looked lovely in the photos but the reality was the property needs some serious TLC and a good clean/airing. Lots of things were broken, missing and uncomfortable. Very bad plumbing situation. Shame really as the property could be really nice and feel much better value for money.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are so sorry to hear of this feedback. Had we been aware of any of this at the time of your stay, we would have done everything possible to help, including replacing broken items, getting the housekeeper for this property back to attend to any concerns, and have a plumber look at the showers. We have never had that issue reported to us before, so we will make sure that it is now investigated, as well as check into your other comments. Thank you for letting us know, though sorry again that we did not get the chance to assist at the time. We hope that you still had a great time exploring this lovely area. Tanya, Customer Services

Really nice accommodation, ideal for our extended family which is in an ideal location near a branch line so need to drive to get around and only a short walk to beach (beware the steep walk back though).

Had a lovely stay at Lauriston with all the family. Very large house and well equipped with everything you need. The only thing not there but was on the details was the swings so had a very disappointed granddaughter. Would recommend to my friends.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your review. We were delighted to see that you had such a lovely family holiday at Lauriston. We are ever so sorry that the swing set was no longer there when you visited, we can understand your Granddaughters disappointment if she had been looking forward to playing on this, but we do hope that she was still able to enjoy the properties outside area. We have since removed this from the web description and photographs. We hope to welcome you or your friends back again soon. Ben, Customer Services.

Family gathering for Christmas 2021. We were so looking forward to spending time together following last years lockdown Christmas. Lauriston did not disappoint. Perfect for our party of 10. So much room and good facilities. Elder members of the party found the steep hill a struggle but took time to negotiate and well worth the effort to a lovely property. Short jaunt down to Carbis Bay station allows a quick train ride to St Ives but the Carbis Bay beech is beautiful if you don’t want to venture into St Ives. Local shops just minutes away.

Lovely house - lovely location. Convenient for shops and the beach.

Great house lots of useable room in an amazing location, very quite and picturesque area with a beautiful beach just down the road only issue a trek back up the hill!!! A few minutes walk to the local train station and £1 each way into St Ives a great bonus for the holiday with no issues getting parking etc in a very busy place.

This property was absolutely amazing! We stayed a week here and it was bliss. The views across the bay were stunning. The property was very clean and comfortable and spacious. Would love to book again in the future

Excellent location with convenience of nearby beach, shops and rail station. Spacious accommodation with lovely balcony and sea views. As always the quality of care provided by Aspects was outstanding.

Lovely house to get together with family and friends.

Fantastic holiday home in brilliant location. Very big to accommodate a party of 4 or 6 people easily. Balcony was fab and the views from the house over Carbis Bay are stunning. Lovely to sit outside

Lauriston is an excellent home... a fantastic location for beach locally and the train station ... an all round perfect place for a holiday and very comfortable....??

Fantastic house in a fantastic location; 5 minutes to Carbis Bay Beach, less than 30 min lovely walk to Porthminster Beach, another 5 mins to St Ives along the beach if the tide’s out! Or for even more convenience, Less than 5 minute walk to the branch line train station (train every 30 mins) and you’re at Porthminster within 3 mins

Excellent location and the view from the main balcony is stunning. Very comfortable and well equipped.

Another lovely family stay in Carbis Bay it’s a very hard place to beat with a young family. Stunning sandy beach, just a walk to St Ives and we even got to see dolphins and seals. The property was just the right size and layout for our family. A prefect holiday given the 2020 circumstances.

Lovely holiday! The position of Lauirston is house is fantastic and the house has plenty of room.

Excellent house plenty of room for large families

Lauriston is in an excellent location. We had a three generation family holiday and the area provided something for everyone. The younger members enjoyed the local sandy beaches and water sports. Trips to Marazion, the Lizard lighthouse, and seal watching at Godrevy Point were enjoyed by all. The coastal path to St Ives is a pleasant thirty minute walk. There was also a good bus service to many parts of this area.

Fantastic stay for the 3rd year . Have already booked for next year. Super secure property.

We had to move to Lauriston halfway through our holiday, the property we were previously staying at, Treglyn in Hayle, being riddled with faults.

Nonetheless, Lauriston is a beautiful home, full of character and we very much enjoyed our last 4 days there. The view from the balcony is really the icing on the cake, but the house is finished and furnished beautifully, with everything you could possibly want.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We were so sorry for the issues at the other property, which were unfortunately not something that we could have foreseen or prevented, and has now all been rectified. We completely understand that it is not the kind of thing that you want to experience while on holiday, and we were glad that we could find an alternative property that was suitable for you, so that you could continue your break here in Cornwall. We have been in contact since and we are really glad that you enjoyed your time at Lauriston. Tanya, Customer Services

A big family group of us have just stayed here and could not recommend the house enough, the views alone make this house but the location is fantastic, being 1 of the drivers of a big group it was nice to be able to use the train so close to us to have days out rather then driving and with a 2 min train drive to st ives it came in very handy. It is based on a hill which wasnt a major problem for us but its worth a mention and could have done with having a larger fridge, very minor things. Overall we really loved this stay our 3rd year down Cornwall and would not hesitate to book this house again

Lovely house and location and will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic holiday in a fantastic house. Many thanks we will be back soon.

What a stunning Cottage to stay in would definitely stay again . Myself and my children and grandchildren stayed here for 10 nights for my daughters wedding in Carbis bay . A stunning backdrop from the balcony for our wedding photos . Very pleased we booked to stay in this beautiful house .

Overall we had a fantastic holiday and enjoyed our stay in the lauriston. We found it spacious having the 2 lounges as a bonus and the use of the balcony with stunning views day and night. Very Well equipped

Lauriston is a wonderful comfortable house for 6 up to 10 people. All enjoyed having their own bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Location was great overseeing Carbis bay. An easy walk of 40 minutes along the cost led right into the centre of St. Ives.

We had a really lovely week staying at Lauriston. The weather during our holiday was mixed and so we put all of the facilities in the property to good use including the central heating, laundry room and sun balcony. We had a dog with us and found the enclosed garden and automatic gates particularly useful. The main open plan living space also worked well for us, this was a very comfortable and beautifully decorated space.

The property lived up to all of our expectations and we would be very happy to use Aspects holidays again.

Lovely holiday at the Lauriston amazing number of bathrooms and bedrooms . Stunning views from the balcony . Minutes walk to the train station. Secure garden for our dog . Very good amount of utensils and plates cups etc . All in all very comfortable would definitely recommend.

A good size house with great views

We had a lovely week at Lauriston.

Lauriston is a must for any family wishing to stay in Carbis Bay. Excellent location c/w stunning sea views from the balcony. The property is finished to a very high standard and there is ample space for the whole family. We hope to stay again but fear it's popularity will make that difficult as people arrive this year will no doubt wish to return too! *
