Nancemorrin met and exceeded all our expectations. It is a supremely comfortable, modern and spacious property in an excellent location. We particularly appreciated the sea views and easy walking from the rear garden gate. The utility room and "boot" area was excellent for the dogs and the provision of dog towels, treats and toys a thoughtful addition. What made this property stand out though was the warmth of the welcome from the owner - truly exceptional. We will definitely return.

Holidays in Mullion

Situated in a National Landscape (formerly Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) on the Lizard Peninsula, Mullion is a quaint village much unchanged by time. Its harbour, now owned by the National Trust, was built in the 1890’s for the pilchard fishing industry. Half a mile offshore is the uninhabited Mullion Island, home to large colonies of sea birds, also protected by the National Trust.

Famous for its history of smuggling, Mullion is the largest village on The Lizard, with a working harbour and the 15th century church of St Mellanus. This traditional Cornish village is perfect for a relaxing holiday for families or couples alike. Visitors can experience the village lifestyle; pop to the shops for some local produce, purchase cake from the independent cafes and enjoy a drink at the village pub. Additionally, it's a great base for those looking to explore the beautiful scenery on The Lizard. Walk along the South West Coast Path and be treated to some of the best views in Cornwall.

Whilst Mullion is a relatively small village, there’s plenty to do during your holiday. As well as the facilities within the village itself, visitors can pop to the local craft centre, visit one of the nearby beaches, enjoy a round of golf or go kayaking from the harbour.

Did you know...

dogs are welcome at Mullion Cove all year round!

Things to do in Mullion

Chocolate Factory and Craft Centre:

Just above Mullion Cove, you’ll find the Chocolate Factory and Craft Centre. An absolute must if you are staying in Mullion. Home to Trenance Chocolate, you can watch the chocolate being made and choose your favourites from the shop.

The centre also has a selection of lovely shops selling a range of locally made, eco-friednly products and gifts, including skin care products, candles and craft gifts. You can also try your hand at making your own glass artwork at the Mullion Glass Studio and Workshop with Zoe Schoning.

Before leaving the Craft Centre be sure to visit its resident llamas behind the car park.

Mullion Golf Course:

With breathtaking views across the ocean, Mullion Golf Course must be one of the most desirable courses to play golf. The 18-hole course boasts fabulous views throughout, and the 11th tee is uniquely situated on the cliff edge.

Kayaking:

Mullion Cove is the perfect spot for going kayaking. Head out from the cove to explore hidden bays and caves, seeing the coast from a different perspective. If you’re lucky, you may even see seals on your adventure! Book your trip with www.lizardadventure.co.uk

Beaches

Mullion Cove Beach:

Mullion Cove Beach is a small, sheltered cove next to the historic lifeboat station, with a further sandy stretch, accessible at low tide, just around the corner from the harbour. The beach and harbour are owned and looked after by the National Trust. Parking is available at the harbour, along with toilets and a café. Dogs are welcome all year round but the beach is not lifeguarded.

Pollurian Beach:

Pollurian beach is a beautiful west-facing, sandy beach which is partly sheltered by the high cliffs that flank the beach. Though difficult to get to, the beach is popular with locals and visitors alike, and surfers when the swell is good. There is no parking at the beach, so it’s best to park at Mullion and walk the coastal path to the reach the beach. Dogs are welcome outside of the summer season, while lifeguards are present at weekends only, during the summer season.

Poldhu Cove:

Popular with the locals for its café with famous hot chocolates, Poldhu Cove is a wonderful beach for families, also owned by the National Trust. Children can enjoy safely playing in the stream that leads to the sea at this sheltered beach. Visitors can make the most of the facilities available, including a café, surf school and toilets. Lifeguards are present during the summer months.

We had a lovely break at a beautiful property

A most wonderful mini break. Very welcoming with everything we needed, including for our dog.

We knew the location would be spot on for us, with so many lovely beaches nearby, and it was great to be able to see the sea in the distance with the waves hitting Mullion Island. The bungalow was very clean and we received a great welcome from Jayne and her fabulous homemade assorted cakes. Jayne went to great lengths to ensure that we had all that we needed, which was much appreciated. The kitchen equipment was the best we have ever had in 25 years of holidaying in Cornwall and lacked nothing. We would definitely recommend Aspects Holidays and hope to use you again soon. Chris Swales

I would recommend Nancemorrin to anyone. We were made very welcome by Jayne and she called round the next day to check that everything was fine. The location was perfect, especially if you had a dog as a footpath was just outside the back garden, so you could take a walk without going on any roads. We had a lovely time.

Highly recommend Nancemorran! Such a lovely bungalow set in the most gorgeous setting. There is a lovely seaview with a large outdoor space for relaxing in the garden. The bungalow was spotlessly clean, comfortable and spacious. Thank you to Jayne for the most delicious cakes on arrival and for the dog’s welcome pack too! Such a lovely touch! Thank you for making our first visit to Cornwall such a memorable one! We loved every minute!

Well what can I say from arrival to after we left fantastic service, fantastic property. On arrival we were grateed with home made treats, milk everything you need after a long drive down. Even the dogs had new toys poo bags and a tag for our stay should they stray. We had a lovely card and fresh flowers with a drop in the next morning just to check everything was OK nothing was to much from start to finish. The seaview was better than shown, the neighbours were friendly and helpful. When it came to sleeping we were sceptical after previous experiences with holiday properties but wow everyone had a comfortable bed from the children to family with medical issues slept really well.

If your a family who likes walking the beach and a quiet village area Nancemorrin is perfect for you.

Fantastic clean, well equipped, dog friendly property. Perfect garden, enclosed for dogs, sea views and walk out of the garden gate straight into a field. Walking either direction from the field takes you to the coast path and beaches. Easy walk to the village for pubs and shops too.

We had a wonderful holiday at Nancemorrin .The bungalow is set in a quiet cul-de-sac with incredible uninterrupted views of the sea and cliffs surrounding Mullion Cove . The garden is safe and secure with fabulous walks in either direction a peaceful place to sit and while away the hours with just the sound of the birds was bliss .We had fabulous weather for May . Perfect location for exploring the lizard and surrounding coastline Poldu to the right and Polurrian beach to the left of the garden gate are within a short walking distance .We loved Helford .Kynance Cove , Coverack .lizard has a tasty fish and chip shop . Jayne was a fabulous host nothing was too much trouble . The delicious afternoon tea on arrival was a lovely touch as were the fresh flowers and doggy treats .A perfect place. Happy Memories made . Jude ,John and Archie

Wonderful quiet bungalow at end of cul de sac with sea views. Flowers in rooms and delicious cakes with cream and jam. Lots of space. 3 beaches close by. 1 with easy access as flat, parking, toilets and coffee shop. A great place with lots of places to see. Thank you Jayne. You made us feel very welcome and Mullion is a little gem

Nancemorrin by far achieved our expectations.
The room layouts were amazing and bedroom two with the addition of the two chairs was divine. I could sit by the window watching my two doggies play in the totally secure garden when it was raining.
It was lovely to have the additional laundry room where I could feed the doggies and the owner left some lovely treats for the dogs including towels which came in handy. A very nice touch and totally unexpected.
Jayne was most welcoming and allowed us early entry as we arrived around 3:15pm. She had made some delicious treats which were welcomed after our 5 hour drive.
The bungalow layout was brilliant for my 83 year old mother in law. She loved her holiday with us and couldn’t fault the bungalow. She even managed to read one of the books on the shelf in the living room! The property is in a very quiet cul de sac. We hardly saw any of the neighbours except for the chap next door who was gardening.
Mullion village is a short stroll away. And the fish and chips from The Galleon were tasty albeit a very long queue but then they are cooked to order. The proximity to The Lizard was brilliant and the short distances to Marizion, St Ives, and Sennen meant it was perfect for us.
We loved the place so much that we’ve booked again for next year.
Jayne - you have a beautiful home and we thank you for your hospitality. Aspects - this property is a gem for your books.

We have had such a wonderful stay at nancemorrin. It’s a lovely bungalow with spectacular views. Everything was so clean and tidy. Kitchen was very well stocked. Jayne was a great host and we very much appreciated the lovely welcome card and home baked goods from her. The whole family has said they would love to return. Can’t recommend it enough. Thank you Jayne.

Great house the pictures don’t do it justice great local walks for humans and dogs alike will book again this house was perfect for what we needed for. The owners was very helpful and great local knowledge

Nancemorrin was a dream location for us. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and has clearly recently been renovated to a very high standard. The equipment throughout is extremely good, we were short of nothing. The owner was lovely, making sure everything was as we would like it and baking some fantastic cakes and scones to welcome us. What stood out for us were the little touches that showed the owner really cared. These were tiny things like spare bin bags, lots of loo roll, kitchen roll, liquid soap, a welcome kit for our dog, but this all adds up and we really appreciated them.

The accommodation is great for dogs. A secure back garden leads directly on to a field with a path leading to the coast in both directions. And what a coast! We spent endless hours walking the coast paths from here and taking in the lovely views, beaches and cliffs. There is also easy walking into the village with it's small supermarkets, pubs and cafes.

A really lovely bungalow which was very well equipped, very comfortable and in a great location. The sea view was great, with ships passing by on the horizon and it was warm enough to sit outside in October. The location is great to explore the Lizard Peninsula with several beautiful places and the Coastal Path within walking distance of the property. Everywhere was extremely dog friendly which made the holiday even more relaxing. A great place to visit and relax.

Lovely clean, well equipped house. Great views and footpaths down to the local beaches straight from the back garden. The welcome treat of home baked goods was delicious- thank you , we had a super time here.

An excellent bungalow, spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. A super location looking out to sea.

Great location with sea views and fantastic beaches in walking distance. Overall a very well presented property. Fantastic welcome (Cream Tea, Cakes etc) and well stocked e.g. generous provision of toilet rolls, towels (including beach towels). Recommended.

Nancemorrin is situated in a lovely peaceful location but with easy access to beach and shops. It is very dog friendly with plenty of information on local areas where dogs are welcome. The Cornish Curry Company is a must! The fresh flowers and cream tea on arrival was most welcome.

Excellent property with easy walkable access to local beaches and village. The property was well presented and comfortable.

Lovely house and location great views and easy walk to town. Well decorated and spotlessly clean. Lovely to have very nice cakes and flowers on arrival. Rooms and beds very comfortable. Extras for doggy were really well appreciated. Thank you very much we had a lovely stay and would recommend to anyone.

We stayed at Nancemorrin in July 2022 and we whole heartedly agree with the previous reviews. A wonderfully clean and well equipped property with great access to beautiful walks. Easy access to shops and a couple of pubs. Jaynes welcome cakes were beautiful and she made us feel so very welcome and is clearly keen to ensure you have a great holiday. We’d love to return again. Thank you Jayne

What an amazing place to stay. When we arrived we were blown away by the fantastic view towards the sea. We found freshly baked and utterly delicious scones, flapjacks and marscake slices, clotted cream and strawberry jam waiting for us. For our dog there were treats, poo bags, a ball and a labelled towel as well as two metal bowels on a mat. Wow! The kitchen was very well equipped and great to cook up a storm in. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The garden was large and had direct access to a walking path. We had everything we needed and felt very welcome. We will stop here with this review as continuing would mean that everyone will book it and there wont be a date left for us to book next year. Thank you Jayne for providing such a haven.

We have just come home from a wonderful week in this lovely bungalow. It certainly is a home from home, with everything you need for a great break. The views are wonderful with great walks as soon as you step out of the door. We were greeted with a cream tea on arrival and beautiful flowers in some of the rooms. Dog towels, treats and dog tags were also left for our use, so our 2 four legged friends were not left out. Thank you for sharing with us. We will be back. Teresa
