Great location, clean, comfortable, well laid out accommodation. We had a really enjoyable stay in the Snug

September 2021

Our stay at The Snug in Mevagissey exceeded our expectations. This is a very well appointed and cleverly optimsed property. The finish is excellent, decor, furnishings etc are stylish but play well to the Snug theme. A great location in the heart of Mevagissey with everything just a few minutes walk away. We stayed during peak time in August and peak staycation season, we were always able to park at the Willow Road car park a few minutes away and the inclusive pass for our stay was a bonus. We felt at home as soon as we stepped over the threshold.

Holidays in Mevagissey

Stay in Mevagissey and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore all that the south coast of Cornwall has to offer. Take a ferry trip to Fowey, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan or spend a day at the beach at the nearby Pentewan Sands.

Best known for its harbour and fishing boats, Mevagissey still boasts as being part of Cornwall’s thriving fishing industry. Fresh fish can even be bought from the hut on the harbour wall, located a short stroll from the village aquarium, once the lifeboat station. Wander around the harbour area, with its narrow streets, fascinating shops and galleries and recall its smuggling history, or just relax in the bars and restaurants and coves and on nearby beaches.

There is a ferry boat which runs from end of April to beginning of October from Mevagissey to Fowey three or four times a day (don’t miss the return journey!) – journey time about 35 minutes. You may be lucky and spot some playful dolphins!

Great location, clean, comfortable, well laid out accommodation. We had a really enjoyable stay in the Snug

Our stay in The Snug was fantastic. It’s a little oasis of calm from the busyness of the town and harbour which was just on the doorstep. The Snug was comfortable and cosy with tasteful decor and very clean and had everything we needed. Set over 3 floors we all had space when we needed it and a lovely garden to relax in. We had a great week exploring the town and coastal paths which are right on the doorstep. The harbour is 2 minutes walk away and on a boat trip we saw dolphins..magical. All in all a fab place to stay.

We really enjoyed staying at The Snug.Close to the harbour, shops and restaurants but tucked away enough to enjoy privacy from the crowds. The house is split into three levels with the kitchen and bathroom on ground level,Lounge and main bedroom on the first floor and the second bedroom (with toilet)on the second floor. It has a secluded garden to the back with an open aspect.Parking is a few minutes away in main car park of the village and a permit is given to use for the week.
