August 2023

Lovely cottage, weather was glorious, up a steep hill but only 5 mins stroll to harbour. Photos on website need updating, the new sofas in lounge are beautiful! Air hockey and table tennis wear down well and crabbing in harbour was great fun! Restaurant's in Mevagissey superb, Sharkskin, Harbour Catch Hut and Alvorado. Lost Gardens of Heligan a great few hours out too. Will definitely be back Mevagissey!

Holidays in Mevagissey

Stay in Mevagissey and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore all that the south coast of Cornwall has to offer. Take a ferry trip to Fowey, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan or spend a day at the beach at the nearby Pentewan Sands.

Best known for its harbour and fishing boats, Mevagissey still boasts as being part of Cornwall’s thriving fishing industry. Fresh fish can even be bought from the hut on the harbour wall, located a short stroll from the village aquarium, once the lifeboat station. Wander around the harbour area, with its narrow streets, fascinating shops and galleries and recall its smuggling history, or just relax in the bars and restaurants and coves and on nearby beaches.

There is a ferry boat which runs from end of April to beginning of October from Mevagissey to Fowey three or four times a day (don’t miss the return journey!) – journey time about 35 minutes. You may be lucky and spot some playful dolphins!

A beautiful house in a perfect location which is close by to the picturesque Mevagissey harbour / town. We all loved our week at Ko’s cottage and it’s a perfect place to relax and feel you’re at home!

We had a great holiday at Ko’s cottage for a week from 27th December although it did rain but it didn’t stop us from walking for miles over the cliff tops and fields the scenery is amazing. Would definitely recommend Ko’s cottage.

The house is in a very good location and gave us the opportunity not to have to use the car everyday. Some lovely walks close by. All in all, a very relaxing holiday.

We loved Ko's Cottage (our sixth stay in Mevagissey). The property was spacious, beautiful views over Mevagissey, lovely balcony and small garden to enjoy, table tennis which the boys loved, well equipped with all you need, beautifully presented with every thought given to the guests AND a parking space :)

It is a steep walk up to the cottage which we actually enjoyed - there is a short cut to the property to save you walking the whole hill!

We would love to go back!

Mevagissey is a lovely place to stay, plenty to see and do nearby. Loads of good places to eat too. Ko’s cottage was great, clean, tidy and provided us with everything that we needed for our weeks stay, plus welcome extras!

We had a fantastic stay at Ko's Cottage, it was spacious, well laid out, very clean and with everything provided for a great self catering holiday. The balcony with a view down to the port was a real bonus, we sat out and enjoyed the sun late into the evening. Situated up a steep hill, might be a problem for some with mobility issues, but the parking onsite was really useful. Would recommend for couples or a family holiday.

Fantastic accomodation. As described and more. Great location also. 5 stars from us

Ko's Cottage has to be the BEST holiday cottage we have ever stayed at. The cottage was clean and everything was in excellent condition. We felt comfortable and at home straight away. We were a group of 4 and there was certainly plenty of room for all of us. I have already recommended the cottage to my friends since I got back home. Just want to add that the staff at Aspects were friendly and pleasant from the start. It all helped to make our holiday very enjoyable indeed.

Lovely view over the valley/village with a glimpse of the sea in the distance. Not too far a walk into village. Children enjoyed the outside space, which is enclosed. Found the layout of the property good for a 3 generation family.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ko’s Cottage. Spotlessly clean. Well-equipped. Comfortable. Lots of thoughtful touches, e.g. games room, nice veranda. It is situated on a very steep hill which gives lovely views, but likely to be unsuitable for anyone with restricted mobility. Travel through the town also involves very tight bends and narrow roads. Perfect to walk to many areas, e.g. Heligan, harbour and many coastal walks. Had a wonderful holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

What an absolutely amazing property. The cleanliness and facilities were second to none. The property was in a very quiet neighbourhood, there was a steep hill to climb but this is just part of being in Mevagissey

This property is located at the top of a very steep bank, too much for my parents in their 70’s. The property has an unusual layout, which we managed, but I can imagine if you have very small children could be an issue. The cleanliness of the property and the balcony areas certainly needs more attention. But you have lovely views at the back, and it’s good that there is parking for 2 cars. As a family we loved the table tennis too.

We all loved staying at Ko cottage. The cottage was spacious and had all the facilities you need. The children enjoyed the table tennis and we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. The cottage was well placed for the town and harbour. We could not fault the cottage and would 100% return again.

We are a family of 4 + dog (boys aged 10 & 7). Great stay with ample parking, lovely to have Mevagissey a short walk down the hill. The balcony is a great space overlooking the Cornish houses. Nice quiet location yet minutes walking distance from all that Mevagissey has to offer. There is a small pebble beach area which our dog was able to have a safe play by the sea and also cycle trails which is also a nice dog walk.

Ko’s cottage was everything we were hoping for it had lovely views , it was very easy to walk into Mevagissey , the house was very clean and very well equipped we wouldn’t hesitate to book it again or recommend it to anyone

We extended by one week, but when it if we could have rearranged things at home, we would have stayed a third week. Really felt at home here, everything close by, lots of space and a study meant we could also work a little. Some great coastal works minutes from the house, lots of little restaurants and cafes and a couple of pubs had reopened. Everything was perfect, thoroughly enjoyed our stay x

Great property. Lots of space, two large terraces which means you have sun all day long. Really well located - very steep hill walk down to the village, but there are some steps which we found on the second. 10 mins to the harbour. Friendly neighbours. Very well equipped, everything you need. Loved the table tennis and the air hockey! It felt like a loving home, we loved it so much we extended for a second week. Will definitely return x
