Loved everything about Hinterland, ease of booking, perfect directions and Aspects called us while we were en-route to let us know it was ready for us, 2 hours early! Great area, 10/15 minute walk into Mevagissy where there is great food, a lovely harbour and great pubs. Will definitely go back and will book with Aspects again.

Clean and well equipped for self catering. Great views of the harbour and beyond when walking up to the property from town centre. Reasonably priced food options limited in the town centre if looking beyond fish and chips and pasties.

Holidays in Mevagissey

Stay in Mevagissey and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore all that the south coast of Cornwall has to offer. Take a ferry trip to Fowey, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan or spend a day at the beach at the nearby Pentewan Sands.

Best known for its harbour and fishing boats, Mevagissey still boasts as being part of Cornwall’s thriving fishing industry. Fresh fish can even be bought from the hut on the harbour wall, located a short stroll from the village aquarium, once the lifeboat station. Wander around the harbour area, with its narrow streets, fascinating shops and galleries and recall its smuggling history, or just relax in the bars and restaurants and coves and on nearby beaches.

There is a ferry boat which runs from end of April to beginning of October from Mevagissey to Fowey three or four times a day (don’t miss the return journey!) – journey time about 35 minutes. You may be lucky and spot some playful dolphins!

Comfy, cosy & super clean accommodation, with fantastic views. Driving in & out of town was an eye closed moment. Walking to restaurants and harbour took minutes. Would love to return in the future… ??

3rd year we've stayed here and each time has been fab. Great for access to Mevagissey and coastal paths. Super terrace & gardens, accommodation always clean, bright and comfortable, nice quiet location. Lovely pub at bottom of the hill in Portmellon

Lovely stay at Hinterland…2 adults and 1 5year old One of four apartments in a row all run by Aspects so would be perfect for a group getaway. The apartment had everything we needed. Just a short walk into Mevagissey, take the steps down cliff park and you are right in the harbour. The roads leading into the property are very narrow and two way so hard to navigate if you meet another car on the way up so we didn’t really use the car as much as we had planned.

We did get the bus to different places quite a few times and lots of good walks nearby too. We had booked with aspects quite a few times and have already booked for next year so would recommend them!

A lovely apartment that is tucked away but easy access to several fantastic walks for the dog. The apartment is very clean and well stocked with equipment for self catering. A short walk into Megavissey harbour for excellent fish & chips!

Very clean, just what we wanted. No washing machine, so had to do a hand wash at the end of the first week - not the end of the world though.

Kitchen well kitted out with a washing line attached to the apartment, pegs and airer in a cupboard which were handy.

Living & dining areas were also a good size, glad we had this apartment so we could fit in the dogs crate & pen in the living area.

Limited wardrobe space if more than 2 people staying potentially, since we used up but hanging areas - enough for us though!

Master bed very comfortable, presume the same for the 2nd room.

Wifi excellent and after doing a channel scan on both tvs, decent number of channels available.

Nice outside areas for sitting (front and back) and loved the size of the garden, i know the dog certainly loved it!

The apartment is great for staying cool during the summer too!

The hotel next door (Tremarne Hotel) were very welcoming when we popped over for a drink too!

When we were on holiday, we did realise the property was expensive. We thought paying extra for a dog was standard on holiday rentals too, which we discovered wasn't the case.

There is a dishwasher but no washer, personally we would prefer a washer over a dishwasher - thought worth making the point.

The arrival details states a car parking number, which isn't the case. Note, don't park in the first 2 parking spaces - they are for the couple who own the first bungalow.

Other than those 3 points, very happy.

Please note, the spa hotel attached to the apartments is closed and to make it easier to find, the apartment next to the Tremarne Hotel.

Thank you for your helpful feedback. We completely understand that some would prefer a washing machine over a dishwasher and vice versa, but with limited space, the owner could only go for one and felt that the dishwasher would be more widely considered the better option. We try to make it clear on the website that there is no washing machine so that those who would really need this facility, can make an informed decision on whether the property will be suitable. We will continue to monitor feedback on this though and pass it on to the property owner. Whilst some properties and companies do not have an additional charge for pets, particularly those who do private rentals, many other agents add this charge either visibly in the early booking stages, as we do, or adding it on later in the booking process. We try to be completely upfront with all costs, with the pet charge being in place to allow for additional time that may be taken to clean, and for additional costs and wear that comes with having pets in properties. Thank you for highlighting the discrepancies in the arrival information; this has been passed on to the local team so that they can amend these details. We hope that you had a great time here and hopefully we will see you back in Cornwall again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

This is a lovely, clean apartment, very comfortable with nice decoration and furnishings and an excellent equipment. You will find everything you need. You can walk to the lovely place Mevagissey and to the Coastal Path. We would love to come back again.

Lovely property, very comfortable. How to use hot water and heating not obvious. No washing machine if you are down for more than a week.

Lovely apartment, well positioned for coastal walks from the door, easy walk closer to mevagissey than we had realised. Very comfortable bed, fantastic shower, well equipped kitchen and nice area to sit outside overlooking the valley - highly recommend.

We spent 2 weeks at Hinterland and thoroughly enjoyed it. Really good standard of accommodation in a nice location with parking which is a bonus in Mevagissey. A lovely patio with superb views which we made the most of in the excellent weather. Aspects Holidays are a really good and professional company to deal with and we wouldn't hesitate in booking with them in future.

The Hinterland was a very clean, modern and well equipped apartment. Fantastic views of the country side and partial sea view. A 15 minute walk takes you into Mevagissey. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and lots of seating around the harbour to enjoy the views. It is very hilly, so wouldn't be very good for anyone with mobility issues. The drive to the apartment involves some very narrow streets. There are some lovely walks to neighbouring Pentewan and Gorran Haven. These are quite challenging in places but worth it. The Eden project is only a 30 minute drive away and the Lost gardens of Heligan are also nearby. There is a ferry that will take you to Fowey as well as boat trips varying from 30-40 minutes which take you along the coastline. We were taken to see some porpoises which had been spotted nearby. We had a lovely week and would certainly recommend the Hinterland as a great place to stay.

Lovely little apartment within walking distance of beautiful Mevaggisey. The bedrooms are a little small but had quality bedding and towels. Please note there is very little storage for clothes aside from a clothes rail. Spotlessly clean and well equipped with lovley west facing views from the terrace

Hinterland was a home from home for our small family (2 parents and a 5 year old). The interior is clean, modern and well appointed with very comfortable beds, plenty of pillows and soft duvets. And with two bathrooms and TVs in the lounge and both bedrooms, the property is suitable for younger families, families with teenagers or two couples. The kitchen contains everything you need and Aspects were kind enough to leave tea, coffee, milk and biscuits which were very much appreciated after a long journey.

At the front of the property there is lovely patio area with bench and table and chairs where we enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening sun. The grass area was also safe enough for our 5 year old to run around and explore whilst we sat.

The location is perfect - close enough to Mevagissey to explore but far enough away to relax and find calm. The walk to town was also fine - I was concerned about the hill especially with a child but needn't have been. We managed to walk to Mevagissey and back most days, finding a route through the park and steps leading down to the harbour (there are around 80 steps but they allowed me to walk off the cream teas, ice creams and pasties!).

I was so pleased we booked Hinterland. It was calm, peaceful and somewhere nice to be when the weather was unkind and close to everything we wanted to do. I will definitely be recommending both Aspects and Hinterland.

It was our second stay at Hinterland View apartment. Both times it was a great experience and we loved it! We were very happy with everything beginning from the location ending with the apartment itself. Aspect Holidays are great to go on holidays with! Thank you!

Having recently spent 1 week in Hinterland I was throughly surprised how clean and spacious the accommodation was. The pictures we had seen, on the advertisement, didn't do the accommodation justice. Everything was at hand in the apartment, and it really did feel like home from home ??. Once I know future leave from work, I will not hesitate in booking a future holiday back there.

This was an amazing stylish apartment in a lovely part of Cornwall, with easy access to many interesting places. The apartment was very modern and immaculate in every way and every detail had been taken to make sure everything you could possibly need was available to you.

Great location. Comfortable and clean. Lovely view from patio.

Had a really wonderful stay here. Brilliant location for both Portmellon and Meva. Lovely shared outside space in the garden. Totally dog friendly. Well fitted out with everything provided. Can highly recommend and the website photos don't really do it justice - it's lovely! Bring you slippers as they tiled floors are a bit chilly!!! Will be back :)

Well appointed apartment with good parking and lovely views. The property was spotless and everything we needed was provided. Very good value and a lovely ten minute walk into Mevagissey although there is a hill to negotiate on the way back. I would recommend you book meals out before your holiday because most places are booked in advance.

Great price and great location, it is just very cold because of the heater issue.

We were sorry to hear about this. Now being aware of this issue, we have had trades attend to it. Thank you for letting us know and we hope that you still had a great time here. Tanya, Customer Services

We had a wonderful week in Hinterland view. The weather was perfect and the accommodation was just what we needed. Everything that you might need is there. The property is spotless and the views beautiful. The terrace is just the place to sit in the sun with a glass of wine and watch the colours change as the sun goes down.

Hinterland view offered exceptional value for money. A well equipped, comfortable apartment in a superb location in easy walking distance to Mevagissey centre and port melon cove. Highly recommended!

Hinterland is a lovely apartment (spotless on arrival ) well equipped kitchen would def stay there again or one of the others in the same block of 4. Such a fab location for exploring this side of Cornwall. Fantastic view from the patio/seating area at the front of the property. Def recommend!

The property is well positioned, well equipped and very clean. Aspect Holidays keep us well informed. Excellent . S Willetts

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hinterland and would recommend to anybody. The apartment was spotlessly clean and contained everything that was needed for a weeks holiday. Would not hesitate to return.

Excellent property, excellent location, will definitely be going back soon :-)

This is just a lovely apartment, so clean and comfortable with everything you need. It is in a perfect location for exploring Cornwall as well as Mevagissey. I would highly recommend.

We stayed at Hinterland View apartament for a week in July. The place is just wonderful! Great location, flat very well equipped and clean. We loved it!
