We had a fantastic holiday at Countryside Hideout. Accommodation was of a great standard and very comfortable. It is at the top of Mevagissey, but the steep climb is worth it and we hardly used the car. We've already booked to go back next year!

Lovely cottage so clean , beds very comfortable, quiet setting views to die for Lovely to sit out on decking in the evening listening to birds and admiring the views, quiet a few stairs upto top level but plenty of flat places to rest if necessary, I'd do another 3 levels if needed to stay in this cottage throughly recommend you to have a visit thanks Nigel Tunbridge wells Kent

An excellent property high up on the top of the hill between Mevagissey and Portmellon. A great starting point for exploring the lovely countryside around this part of Cornwall.

Excellent location, sea view from the patio, two good sized bedrooms both with tv, excellent showers, 10 min walk to beach and rising sun pub.the only thing that spoiled the holiday was the road closed to Mevagissey, which caused a very long detour.would recommend the hideout.

We loved our stay here; the location is perfect for exploring and all amenities of the harbour only a short walk. We have stayed in lots of holiday properties over the last few years and this by far was our favourite and met our needs as a family ! It was lovely to have it so well stocked with equipment including a hoover - which makes a big difference when dealing with sandy days out to keeping it all nice for the duration of the stay! We will be back / will recommend for sure !

Beautifully decorated very clean, with lovely quality bedding. Location was perfect…. and the garden was lovely for the children to have a play.

An excellent appartment with everything you might need (except a washing machine). If you have a large family or are staying 2 weeks one would be useful. We were only 2 people for one week so did not need to do any washing. Modern & spacious with just a few minor tweaks it would be perfect. eg. the television in Living Area is fairly small for the position it has been placed & the bracket is not adjustable enough. Each bedroom has an ensuite shower room & television, which was fabulous, though they forgot to install hooks/soapdish in shower units. Views across pretty countryside with sheep in the fields & a bit of sea - seen from outside seating area & Master Bedroom was really nice. Short walk to Mevagissey (with beautiful views of the harbour & across to Fowey & beyond - go through the "gates" to the grassy area on the cliffs, which avoids some of the walk down the narrow road) & Portmellon if you are reasonably fit, as both routes involve walking back up a fairly steep hill. Close to Lost Gardens of Heligan & Eden Project & many small beaches (Pentewan is quite large though). Also visited Charlestown, Gorran Haven, Bodmin Jail, Carlyon Bay, Portmellon (fun quiz in pub on Monday evenings) & walked to Dodman Point. Really needed 2 weeks!

What an amazing hidden gem! Could not fault the holiday from booking to departure as all correspondence with the company was great and the accommodation was fantastic. As a family of four, with two teenagers, we were amazed by the space and location. Yes it is on a hill, yes it had hills in all directions we walked and we did a lot of exploring but the views were amazing. Only used the car to visit things further afield and could have done without a car after arriving as there was loads to visit nearby. Outdoor space was perfect to relax on an evening and for a coffee and breakfast. Would recommend the apartment to everyone - infact I have already. Thanks for a perfect week!

A great apartment just out of the town but with stunning views across the countryside and with glimpses of the sea down by Portmellon. We would thoroughly recommend this for anyone wanting a peaceful break but still close enough to walk into Mevagissey itself.

Great property with lovely views. Situated uphill with access to beautiful local walks and the coast path as well as being an excellent base for exploring further afield by car. We will be returning.

Loved the apartment, modern, clean and everything provided that you would need. We were lucky with the weather and could sit out every day taking in the beautiful view. Only a short walk to Mevagissy and Portmellon. We will definitely be booking again.

This is an excellent property in an excellent location. My wife, my 11 year old son and I, plus our 5 month old puppy stayed for a week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The directions to the property were easy to follow, and the instructions for using the key safe also very straightforward. The flat itself was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The rooms were much bigger than anticipated, and my son was especially delighted with his twin bedroom with TV and en suite facilities! Having tea towels, washing up liquid and bin bags available was a nice touch too and saved us needing to pop out for supplies. All in all, we couldn't fault Countryside Hideout, and would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a base to explore Mevagissey and the surrounding area.

We would highly recommend this property and Aspect Holidays. (Our son has just booked elsewhere with Aspect following our recommendation). Pictures and description totally accurate and, if anything, it exceeded our expectations.

Although we had to cut our stay slightly short everything about the accommodation was perfect and we sill be sure to book with this company again. Thank you for a very relaxing and peaceful break.

We had a lovely few days in the apartment. It was so clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the location, it was so nice to walk into Mevagissey to enjoy the restaurants and pubs. Also the coastal walk to Goran was beautiful. Looking forward to returning in the near future.

We had a great week staying at Countryside Hideout in August 2020. Fantastic location, 10 minute stroll to Mevagissey, so much to do and see in the village with so much choice of eating out. Amazing view from balcony and main bedroom out to Portmellon and the headland. Apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival with everything we needed. Easy access to great walks on the coastal paths. Great location for exploring the surrounding area.

We had a really lovely week with our two teenage children in this lovely, modern property. The location is fabulous, with interest in both directions - both Mevagissey and Port Mellon are lovely places to walk to in the morning or evening and the little shop at Port Mellon had some lovely produce for sale, as well as having a pub which was serving drinks from the front door due to Covid restrictions. It was also wonderful to walk on the coastal path to Gorran Haven which is another lovely, quaint village with a lovely harbour wall and a fantastic fish & chip shop. The apartment has quite a small living space, but has everything you need and it was lovely to enjoy a glimpse of the sea from the front windows. We were lucky to have good weather so spent most of the time outdoors and enjoyed evenings in the apartment. You would not really need to use your car for a week in this property which is also a real bonus.
