What our guests say...

We know how important honest reviews are when it comes to booking your holiday. Please bear in mind that some facilities referred to by past guests in reviews can be removed or changed at any time.

Loved the location, eco products, luxurious decor. A really special and quirky apartment.m beautifully furnished. So convenient with massive range shops cafes takeaways restaurants on doorstep And two seconds to get to the beautiful views on the pier. Only downside is it is quite noisy into small hours at nighttime as it’s so close to pubs. Extra glazing might help.

The Old Fire Station is a very unique property, and the owner has gone to a lot of effort to ensure that it is furnished and maintained to a high standard, so we are glad to hear that you liked it. We will pass on your suggestion about additional glazing to the property owner to see if that is something that he may consider in the future. Thanks for taking the time to send in your review and hopefully we will have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

The Old Fire Station is lovely, well appointed, close to bars, restaurants & the town. The only drawback is the sofa which is uncomfortable so if the weather is inclement you need something comfy to sit on!

It was tiring.

We were so sorry to read of all the disturbances that you experienced, with the university fresher's activities late into the night and scaffolding being erected on a property opposite early hours of the morning. The hustle and bustle of being in this location is to be expected, but we can appreciate that you may not have been expecting the additional noise associated with these activities. We hope that you still enjoyed Falmouth and surrounding areas despite this and if we can help in recommending alternative properties that are still within easy reach of the town and all the great things on offer there, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Tanya, Customer Services

We had a lovely holiday staying at The Old Fire Station. Fantastic location (beware of late night noise until 5am from students especially at weekends) Loved the character of this property and had a very comfortable stay. Would recommend for adults, not so much with young children.

We are glad that you liked it. With the university students returning for the year, the first couple of weeks in September can be a little livelier than the rest of the year, but it is important to bear in mind, whenever you visit, this property is in a central location within a busy town, so there is always the risk of hearing the hustle and bustle of the town. It may not suit everyone, but for those who like to be in the heart of it, just a very short stroll from the beautiful beaches and great selection of shops, cafes, and restaurants; you really can't beat it! We hope to see you back here again and thanks for taking the time to send in your comments. Tanya, Customer Services

Beautifully designed accommodation in a very convenient location. All furnishings and fittings are high quality and it was great to have biscuits, milk, tea, coffee etc provided for arrival. The only real issue was there was no freezer, not even a small one in the fridge (so nowhere to put ice cream). It would have been handy to have shelves in the shower cubicles for soap, shampoo etc too.

We are so sorry. Unfortunately, there was an error on the website, so at some point between October 2020 and January 2021 the description changed from just a fridge, to stating fridge with freezer compartment. We can't quite work out how this has happened, but we are so sorry for any disappointment as a result. We have now amended the description to state just a fridge and have suggested to the owner about getting one with a freezer compartment when he gets to the stage of needing to replace the current one. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and the really helpful suggestion of a shelves in the shower, which we will also pass on to the owner. We hope that you still enjoyed it here. The property itself was beautifully decorated with high end furnishings. The property was really clean and tidy and sufficient towels robes etc in place for the visit. No complaints about the interior of the property itself. However, the location was not good. Numerous pubs in close proximity caused sleepless nights with endless anti social behaviour outside the windows and noisy cars revving through the one way system until the early hours of the morning. Then most mornings there was a supermarket delivery at sunrise and again this disturbed us as the loading bay is next door to the property.

We are sorry to hear that it was so noisy during your stay. Being in such an amazing central location will mean that you will hear the hustle and bustle of the town, with busier times of the year leading to more traffic and passers-by, but the level of anti-social behaviour that you describe does not sound like the norm and it is such a shame that you were affected by this. We hope that it hasn't put you off this great property and the fantastic town of Falmouth, with all the lovely independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars and stunning beaches, coastal walks, and scenery. A lovely and centrally situated property. Nicely equipped kitchen - although plenty of eateries on the doorstep!

Property is decorated to a high standard. However the lounge area is very small for 4 people. Ideal location if you are happy being in the centre of town but you need to be aware it can be very noisy. No parking but safe public car park very near.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your review. While the property sleeps 4, the space and layout may not suit everyone. We try to show the size and available space as best as possible within the photos, so we do hope that this was what you had expected and that the space still worked well for all your party. Thanks again and hopefully we will see you back in Cornwall again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

The Old Fire Station is centrally located in Falmouth with many restaurants, cafes and bars within easy walking distance. The property itself is fitted out to a high standard and spotlessly clean. Parking in council run car parks is available just a 5 minute walk away. We would stay again.

The flat looks gorgeous and everything is really lovely quality. It was well equipped, though a microwave would have been handy. The location was very central. Unfortunately the beds were very hard and the bedrooms not well laid out, though beautifully designed, there was hardly any space to get between the furniture to the far side of the bed. A bit of a triumph of design over function, as the rooms are not small.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are sorry that you found the beds hard; it can be very difficult to find a mattress that will suit everyone, but we will monitor comments to keep an eye on guests' preferences over the coming months. Thank you also for the feedback on the layout of the rooms. We will pass that on to the owner for his consideration. We are glad that you had otherwise enjoyed everything here and thanks again for the review. Tanya, Customer Services

Top end property in a convenient central location. Comfortable, warm and finished to a high standard. We enjoyed our stay.

This property looks exactly like the photos. But if you want practically it's not for you.

Lovely apartment with tasteful and cosy decor of a really high standard throughout which created lots of "wows" when we arrived and ensured a comfortable stay. Situated in the centre of town next to the library, it was ideally located for all amenities and about a mile from the beach. Added little treat of gowns & slippers made for a luxury stay.

The location of the property is good and everything in the house is brand new It's quiet noisy but you get to live in the heart and centre of Falmouth! Easy access to Facilities, markets and shops. Amazing bakeries near by. I highly recommend to buy Fish at Seabourne Fish mongers in Penryn!

We managed to book this last minute (literally the night before) after a last minute cancellation on a holiday we already had booked. The property is absolutely beautiful, decorated to an extremely high standard and perfectly clean! We wouldn’t have necessarily chosen this property with 2 young children given the choice as it is located in the town centre, however it suited us perfectly and we all loved it. The booking was so quick and straight forward compared with being poorly treated by another very well known holiday company - very impressed and highly recommend! Will definitely be booking with aspects again - thank you for saving our holiday!
