We spent a lovely week in Smeaton's Pier Penthouse. Very comfortable and very well equiped. The views are absolutely amazing and we saw seals in the cove every day,would highly recommend! The stairs may be a challenge for less able bodied people,but it is worth it for the view! It was a bonus having parking as it is incredibly busy in St Ives,but if you have a large car like we have you may find parking a bit of a tight squeeze! Overall holiday was absolutely fantastic Thank you!!

Very pleased with our stay at Smeaton's Pier Penthouse. The flat was perfect in every way. Walking distance to the beach and shops; wonderful view of sea from the windows; very clean and comfortable.Welcome gifts were a nice touch. Handover of the keys at the end of our stay was on time and efficient. It really is a delightful property in a stunning location and perfect for exploring all the wonderful places West Cornwall has to offer. We will be back.

Outstanding views - feel like you’re in the prow of a ship. Good central location and parking. Also quiet and well appointed apartment.

Sadly never again. The dirtiest accommodation it has been our misfortune to stay in. Aspects staff and view were excellent, the bed was ok, a bit soft for us but that is personal preference.

Lovely apartment and very well equipped. Views are amazing! Really comfy bed and couch. Great location. Parking is a bonus, I had a Ford Kuga and this fit in fine.

Amazing place to stay and highly recommended. Every window provides a fantastic view either of beaches, harbour or across old slate rooftops. Very centrally located but quiet, except for the sea and the seagulls ?? The flat is spacious, nicely furnished and very well equipped. Three flights of stairs (and the last flight is quite twisty and narrow) but this is clearly indicated in the description and only served to make us fitter as the week went on! We had just the best holiday and hope to stay here again.

Wonderful return visit to our favourite St Ives apartment. The views are amazing - and lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the waves every night. Felt we were in the prow of a ship. Spotlessly clean, well-appointed, very comfortable- and a joy to live in for the holidays!

Excellent location, wonderful views, good sized apartment for 2. Stairs are a problem if you have suitcases, hold-alls would be easier. Very quiet, good nights sleep. Parking is a boon.

Everyone wants a sea view, and this apartment has one of the best views in St Ives. Being directly above a small beach, it also has sea sounds which are very soothing, especially at night. From our windows we loved watching the activity in the harbour and the changing tides and were lucky enough to see dolphins playing with a group of jet skiers. There is a very homely feeling the moment you walk through the main front door into the hallway downstairs. The decor is perfect and we loved the large comfy sofa. The location could not be any better, and the parking space is a real bonus.

Excellent accommodation in prime location, with unrivalled views over the harbour, town and coastline. Allocated parking was a massive plus. Superior accommodation, well worth a five star rating. Wi fi also a plus and overall a great experience in a great property.

Lovely place to relax very clean amazing views

Very comfortable apartment for 2 people. The stairs to the penthouse are worth the climb, just to see the elevated views over the bay. This made spotting dolphins and seals really easy. Hopefully will be returning next winter.

Another fantastic stay at Smeatons Pier Penthouse. I just hope the new owners still rent it out.

Fabulous views from the flat which is comfortable and very well furnished . Until the parking for 3 SMALL cars is enforced the nearby covered parking area which comes with the flat is extremely difficult to negociate

Great property in the perfect location. In the middle of everything but quiet. It was great to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean breaking on the rocks and watching the seagulls soar by the window. Brilliant having a little beach right outside which was really quiet and the added bonus of parking. Totally love this place and have just re-booked. It was so peaceful x

A stunning penthouse with genuinely breathtaking views, we enjoyed the sound of the sea and often the laughter of people and excited barking of dogs on the beach below. The stairs were no problem and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable week.

The views from the apartment are amazing and is very comfortable. Being able to park around the corner is an enormous bonus, particularly in St Ives. We will be back.

This is a gem of an apartment. We felt very privileged to have a week of its stunning views from every window - and falling asleep each night to the sound of the waves was really special. The apartment itself is beautiful- well kitted out and comfortable. Couldn’t ask for more. Very memorable.

Perhaps one of the best views in St Ives of both the harbour and the bay.. We've been there in the winter months when there has been a huge sea right outside below...just spectacular.

The views from the Penthouse were fantastic and it was lovely to sit and watch the sunrise in the morning and the world go by through the day. The apartment had everything we needed for a quiet break, was spotless and comfortably furnished. We were prepared for the stairs from other reviews and the views made the 3 flights worthwhile :) The parking space is really for a small car; we were lucky the spaces to either side were unoccupied. We had a great 2 weeks stay at this apartment. The views are amazing and even in the bad weather it was great to watch the sea from your own chair. The apartment is really comfortable and well equipped. Getting our stuff up the 3 flights of stairs was a challenge at our age, but worth it for the views.

The pent=house at Smeatons apartments was lovely, The views were to die for, the furnishings were good The only thing I would say is that you need to be fit to climb the stairs. WE are 80 years old and pretty fit but I will say they were a challenge!

We loved this apartment! The location was wonderful. The double views are to do die for- one of the sea and one of the harbor out separate windows. Parking space is as outlined- for a small/medium sized car. We had a wonderful week thanks to this apartment! We hope to come back next year.

Stayed here on holiday for the last 5 years or more. Love the place. The only disapiontment is the side window overlooking the harbour has now been sealed closed.

Another happy week in St Ives. Smeatons Pier is a lovely apartment with great views. The parking space just around the corner is a valuable thing in St Ives. Close to the town and all amenities.

We have stayed in many holiday lets in St Ives and this is by far the best. There can't be many places with such amazing views. We spent an entire afternoon mesmerised by the rough sea below from our cosy third floor window overlooking the entire bay. We will definitely return at the earliest opportunity.

We really enjoyed our stay at Smeatons Pier Penthouse. It was our second stay here and would recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful place to stay with amazing views and very good facilities, especially the comfy bed. There are 3 flights of stairs which may cause a problem for some but for those that can manage it you won't be disappointed. We really appreciated the flowers, wine, tea, coffee etc that were provided for our stay. I'm sure we will visit again.

The apartment is perfectly located for all of St Ives high spots. The harbour, the beaches, the shops and the restaurants. The views of the sea and the harbour are truly amazing. Watching the sun rise was an unexpected bonus. If you love St Ives don’t miss out on this apartment.

A lovely penthouse flat with wonderful views. Well appointed and a parking space. It is not suitable for older or infirm because of all the stairs. Our 2nd visit and we hope to return next year.

This apartment has the best views of the harbour and sea. We had our honeymoon here and fell in love all over again. We loved to sit in the bay window and watch the sea and world go by. Unbeatable views from the penthouse. Ideal location and public areas ie the entrance and stairs were beautifully carpeted and freshly painted. Everything you could want in the apartment was there and very good quality

This is a wonderful apartment situated in a prime location to explore St Ives and enjoy harbourside views when eating any meals in. Close the windows for a peaceful rest or open up and let the sea air and seaside noises enter the space.
Watch the daytime activities and people transform with the illuminations of the night lights on the harbour whether the tide is in or out.

Our second stay at the Penthouse apartment and not disappointed. The light living space with beautiful views over the sea, harbour and rooves, sitting in the bay window reading, knitting or watching the surfers and seals. Absolutely worth the walk up the 3 flights of stairs and the sloping roof in the bedroom! Will be back!
