We had a lovely stay at caradon cottage as a family of 5. Beds are dreamy, the cottage was well equipped and the owner Pam was extremely helpful in answering all of our queries. I would recommend this to small families and couples. Perfect location not too far away from anything.

August 2023

We had a lovely stay and the beds were very comfy. Loved that we were greeted with flowers, fudge, wine and a pint of milk - this was a really nice touch! The location was good with just a short walk into St Ives - I recommend booking car parking at the Rugby Club as parking is difficult in a busy seaside town. Overall we enjoyed our Cornish holiday very much.

Our stay stay Caradon Cottage was exactly what we needed. The cottage was cozy and comfy, perfect for what we needed. It's also walking distance to the town centre which was amazing. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay there again!

We had a fabulous stay. It was perfect for me and 2 girls with the dog.The cottage had everything we needed and close enough to the beaches and St. Ives shops. The only thing I would say if you are thinking of booking is that the bathroom is small. It wasn't an issue for us but if you are a bigger human you might! Overall it serves its purpose and we loved our little home from home!

The owners have tried to make the best use of the space, but the shower room is quite small, given the nature of this traditional St Ives cottage. We try to show this as best as possible on the photos, and other guests include additional information in their reviews, so we do hope that this is what you had expected. It certainly sounds like it all worked well for your party though and we are glad that you enjoyed it. Tanya, Customer Services

A very sweet cottage with a lovely feel about it right near all the shops and very close to the beach too. The location is great! It's not ideal for dogs because the outside space is very small with no greenery, however there is a park near by. The fridge is tiny so don't take too much fresh stuff with you - there are Co-Op's in every direction so easy enough to stock up daily. We had a lovely stay there as a family - it's snug but cosy.

We are so pleased you enjoyed the central location of Caradon Cottage, it's the perfect base for exploring everything that St Ives has to offer! It is a shame that you didn't find the property's outside to be ideal for your dog, we try to make it as clear as possible in the property description that the courtyard area is a smaller, split-level patio. The fridge in the property is an under-the-counter appliance to make the most of the space available in the property, but with plenty of room to store the essentials. As you mentioned there are plenty of local shops nearby too! Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Katy, Customer Services.

Excellent cottage .nice to have outside space the hill down to beach is a bit of a climb though.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are glad that you enjoyed it there. Whilst it isn't a steep hill to the beach from this property, when you compare it to most hills in St Ives, it is a steady 10-minute downhill walk to the harbour beach, if you stick to the North Terrace/Gabrielle Street route, so you will need to be prepared for some walking to get to any of the beaches from this property. Other beaches in the town will involve a bit more of a walk and more uphill/downhill, but the team here are always happy to advise on easiest routes and bus services/taxi companies that might make it a bit easier. Caradon Cottage was the perfect base for our wonderful holiday in St. Ives. The cottage is very cosy, well furnished and has fully equipped kitchen. There are games provided and the rear patio and sitting out area is a delightful sunny place to sit peacefully.

We enjoyed our stay at Caradon cottage . 10 minute walk to the harbour, very close to beaches as well. Great place to bring your dog, st ives is very dog friendly. The cottage was clean and supplied with everything you will need. No complaints, apart from the hill to car park

Had a lovely week in caradon cottage, beds are lovely and comfy and the courtyard out the back was very nice.

Wonderful holiday . The cottage was amazing, the service given was excellent . Many thanks.

Great location just far enough away for a good nights sleep but only 10 mins max downhill to the harbour or any of the local beaches! Had everything we could have wanted and needed including for our family dog ??. Comfortable practical and colourful, the husband even fitted in the shower at 6'3 - yes the bathroom is small but it's a cottage so expected The welcome gift was much appriciated Definately recommend

This was our second stay and Caradon Cottage is the perfect place to escape to. Perfect for a small dog too with small enclosed outside space. Caradon Cottage is beautifully decorated, well equipped and extremely comfortable - especially the bed! Shower room is small/tight but not unusual for this type of property. Location is fab and only a short walk away to the harbour and town. Parking is located at the rugby club which is on a steep incline. This may not suit some with mobility issues so it may need to be a consideration for some.

Absolutely lovely cottage in a perfect location, we have already booked for next year. A lovely personal touch on the arrival made it extra special, thank you.

Enjoyed our stay in Caradon Cottage. Lovely location, cosy and homely and everything you need for your stay in St Ives. Comfy beds and the perfect place to stay after long days relaxing on the beach ??

A fabulous, colourful cottage which offers you a fantastic town location & a great garden terrace to soak up sun with your morning coffee!! Dog friendly too - perfect!

Cosy 4 night break in this lovely cottage. It is very cosy and snug. Had everything you could need. Good location. No access to front door to unload vehicle and some neighbours on the main road were not very patient or understanding so please bear that in mind when you park to load and unload your vehicle. Garage was a great option for secure parking close by and reasonably priced

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We were sorry to read that you experienced some neighbours being impatient while you used the bays to unload. This isn't usually something that we have heard of being a problem if they are just being used for unloading and loading up vehicles. Whilst you can't drive straight to the door to unload, this does mean that you are not right on that main road and therefore getting further from any traffic noise that would be associated with being right on that road, which we hope you found to be a great benefit of the location. The garage is not a facility that the owners have anymore, but instead, they have a parking spot up at the rugby club which we hope future guests will find equally as convenient. With parking being so limited in the town, having this facility, even if it is not located by the property itself, is a huge bonus, saving the stress of driving around everywhere in the hope of finding a space! We are glad that you had a lovely time here and hopefully we will see you back some time. Tanya, Customer Services

Excellent little cottage, a little further up the hill but not too far to walk, the cottage was immaculately and beautifully decorated, the kitchen had everything you needed, it was really nice to have a little garden which was a first for us staying in st ives. I would definitely suggest getting the garage as that was really useful for us. The only less ideal aspect of the cottage was the bathroom which is slightly bigger than the average toilet, it’s very narrow but still practical.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your time at Caradon Cottage and that you found the additional parking useful. Parking is in such high demand here, so having a space allocated before arrival is definitely a very useful thing! The shower room is a little small and may not suit everyone, but the owners have used the space really well so that it is still very practical, with everything in there that you should need. We hope that it was exactly what you had expected from the photos, as we always want these to be very honest and accurate representations of what you have booked. Thanks for sending in your feedback and we hope to see you again! Tanya, Customer Services

PLEASE NOTE THAT PARKING ARRANGEMENTS CHANGED IN 2021 AND MOVED TO THE RUGBY CLUB.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. The location is perfect for exploring St Ives and we added the garage to our stay which was just around the corner. If you plan on bringing car this is essential as parking on road isn't possible. The cottage is well equipt for everything you could need during your stay. The only negative we found was a cramped and awkward bathroom

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your review. We were delighted to see that you had such a lovely stay at Caradon Cottage and that you enjoyed exploring all St Ives has to offer; the property is in such a good spot for access to the facilities of the town and all the beautiful beaches. We are glad that you enjoyed the benefit of the additional parking. With parking being a premium in St Ives, it is great to have that option available. We were sorry to see that you found the shower room to be a little cramped. With many traditional fisherman's cottages in this area, the layouts can be slightly quirky, and rooms smaller in comparison to our own homes, but we do try our best to capture these quirks and show the sizes of rooms as best as possible. We hope that the image of the shower room within our website photos highlighted this to you before arrival, and that it was as you had expected, as we always want to be as open an honest as we can. We hope that we will see you again soon. Ben, Customer Services

Alright for a young family.

Had a very enjoyable holiday in Caradon Cottage. A lovely colourful, cosy cottage that we felt very much at home in. Lovely comfortable beds too. Our holiday was originally booked for May and due to Covic-19 had to postpone Aspects were very helpful in rearranging our dates to September. Although St Ives was very busy we didn't experience any problems

It was our second time at Caradon Cottage and we enjoyed it even more than the first time. The little extra touches make all the difference - the welcome gifts and fresh flowers put a smile on our faces.

Perfect location with short stroll into town. This being our first stay in St Ives and to find a dog friendly property with small outdoor space and parking was a complete bonus. Garage is tight - if you have a large car it may not fit. Check measurements. The property was really comfortable and felt like home. The bed extra comfy and a great night sleep. We will be back. Thanks to owners of cottage along with Aspects team.

Loverly cottage great position for the town if you don’t mind hills which are everywhere in St Ives. Loverly friendly owners who couldn’t do more to help. Only downside is the size of the bathroom

Had a very enjoyable week in Caradon Cottage, very quiet location and not far from the hustle and bustle of the main town. Great to have garage parking too!

Fantastic holiday cottage in walking distance of all the delights that St Ives has to offer. This is our 3rd visit to this cottage and it now feels like home. It’s always clean and has everything you want from a cottage. The bed is so comfy and it’s in a quiet area so ideal for a good nights sleep. Added bonus of a garage (optional). See you next year.

So lovely! Very peaceful, very good facilities and a super outside sitting area, perfect sun trap. Local owners are a delight to deal with & quite rightly, very proud of their cottage

Wonderful welcome with gift pack, flowers and wine. This is our second visit to this cottage and it didn't disappoint. The Cottage has a lovely homely feel, very clean and tidy. The bathroom has been updated and rooms refreshed. There's only a Short walk to beach and town centre. Also the added bonus of garage at extra charge. Hopefully will be back next year

Lovely cottage, very clean and nicely appointed - everything you could need for a relaxing break.
Delightful hosts/owners who went beyond expectations to make our stay very enjoyable. Happy to recommend to friends.

Wonderful little cottage, suited us perfectly. Lots of little extra touches from the owners which was above and beyond expectations. Even got us a both a little xmas present!!!

Wonderful holiday the cottage came up to expectations comfortable and well presented coming back next year.

Caradon Cottage is in a great location and is generally bright and cheerful , however the wet room is 6’ by 4’ and is located off the open plan living area on the ground floor . It was mouldy and covered in mildew and the shower drain was thick with hair .

Thanks for your feedback. We are really sorry if this wasn't 100% for your arrival. I can see that trades were sent over to the property to address this as soon as you got in contact, and I am pleased to report that the owners have since installed a new wet room and new floors in the property. They have also informed us that they were looking into more efficient ventilation as well. Thanks again for the helpful comments. Tanya, Customer Services

Great little cottage. Really comfortable and well positioned, as long as you don’t mind walking up hills!

Great location, as it’s literally only 10 mins from the Harbour.

Parking space is a big selling point and is big enough for 2 small cars.

Very clean cottage, but wet room needs better ventilation and back bedroom is very, very hot.

Would deftinitely stay there again though.

Fantastic cottage, well decorated and clean. Not far from town and all the wonderful beaches.
